Victoria died with hatred in her heart—slaughtered by the very family she once trusted, her inheritance stolen, her daughter condemned to a cruel fate, and her name dragged through the dirt. In her final moments, she made a vow…

If she ever had another chance, she would destroy them all.

When she opens her eyes again, Victoria finds herself ten years in the past—back to the moment where everything first went wrong. Back to the house that broke her. Back to the people who ruined her life.

But this time, she isn’t the naïve, obedient girl they once controlled.

Death
“Was it all for money?” The words felt heavy in the cold of the night. Even though she had fallen to the ground in a pool of her own blood, Victoria still held a kind of power that her uncle and his family could not match as they stood before her, proud and arrogant in their proper suits. But the suits were stained with her blood. The feeling of being inferior never left him. Even after he had slit her stomach and left her bleeding to death, she was still looking at him with the same disgusting expression, as if he were a pest not worth her attention. If only she had understood. “It is to teach you a lesson! A married woman should stay at home and not poke her nose into the matters of others.” She raised a brow and laughed. “So much drama and blood just to tell me I am married, when I never wanted to marry him in the first place?” she mocked while looking at Benard, her husband, another devil in her hell. Her eyes were cold and filled with hatred, though the strength of it weakened as she coughed a mouthful of blood. Her red and green eyes were filled with pain. Her face had turned ashen and she kept coughing more blood. The excruciating pain wrapped around her body and rocked her slowly toward darkness. The sight of her like this gave him a strange relief. “Blabber all you want, but in the end you are going to die and we will survive. Not only that, the inheritance of your mother will belong to us. I will become the sole owner of all the properties she left for you.” he announced as he stepped forward and knelt in front of her so their eyes met. Her blood splashed onto his clothes. The torches in the sconces flickered, as if announcing her death along with the fall of the lady. Shadows twisted along the walls like monsters growing in the darkness. But it did not scare the woman anymore. She had already seen the biggest monster standing right in front of her. “So it was all because of money. When you could have asked for it and I would have given it to you, like when I was a child?” she nodded slowly, her lips twisting into a smirk that looked almost evil. He gritted his teeth and his hand moved to her hair. He yanked it hard and despite the pain she felt, she did not allow herself to wince or flinch. She stared straight into her uncle’s eyes and he narrowed his gaze at her. “I will sell the daughter you were protecting. The world will only know that you ran away when people discover you were selling fake goods in the market. You were nothing but a fake heiress. People will loathe you even after death. Your own daughter will curse you for abandoning her when you faced hardships.” Victoria covered her wound with her hands, her eyes filling with the desire to kill when Giselle, her cousin, stepped forward and laughed. “And when she cries in my arms telling me how much she misses you, I will tell her that you never loved her. Then I will use her just like I used you. Your husband will not care at all and oh, did I tell you? He has already remarried, so she will have a stepmother who will make sure she spreads her legs well before she even gets her first period. And oh, did Father tell you...” Giselle spoke while cutting off her father, but he did not seem to mind. His lips only twisted and Victoria’s stomach churned. A bad feeling rose inside her as she slowly looked at her uncle. He noticed the fear in her eyes. For the first time their words had affected her, and it filled them with a strange and perverse pleasure. How he wanted to hurt her again and again until she finally broke apart so he could enjoy ruining her. But that woman had always been cold from the start. Even when they forced her to marry a monster, she never showed her vulnerable side. “Your father did not die in an accident. I pushed him from the cliff.” he spat with rage. “Because like you, he had the habit of walking into my room without knocking. His ears were too big and he did not know how to control his mouth, and now you followed the same path. Can you blame me for it?” Her eyes widened and burned with a new rage. She raised her hand to slap her uncle but he caught her wrist and shoved her away. Victoria fell to the ground and Benard stepped forward, pressing her head harder against the floor with his shoe. “You think I would let you slap me? Ha! You fool. You bitch.” he felt her struggle beneath him and at the same time he felt a strange thrill at the thought of killing her. Victoria closed her eyes. The desire for revenge burned in her chest, but the poison in her body and the deep cut on her stomach left her with no strength to act on it. Darkness slowly surrounded her and little by little her body began to go numb. “One day... I will find a way to take revenge on all of you. Even if I have to return as a ghost and haunt you in the darkness.” she whispered, only to hear his vicious laughter. “Hah!” “Aah!” a woman suddenly shouted in the darkness of a small room. The sound was loud enough for a maid to push the door open at once and step inside. “Why are you already shouting? Wake up and come help us clean the house.”
