Rejection is what I always receive

Scarlet wakes up and prepares for school. At her way to school she hears screams and shouts and then she wonder what that could be? Then upon seeing there's a boy surrounded by many girls admiring him. And then she said to herself " huh, another annoying boy again on the campus". Then finally she arrives at school looking for her classroom. Upon entering the classroom she introduces herself and sit on her desired table. After her the annoying boy that she see's on her way at school entered and introduce himself as Carl and all girls shouted wanting him to set beside them but instead the boy prefers sitting next scarlet because she's quiet. Then the class begins then the teacher asked a question and Carl raise his hand and answered the questions. There and then they've known that Carl is not just handsome but smart as well. Bringing in more girls to like him. After the classes end Carl approached scarlet asking if everything is okay with her that she seems down. Instead being grateful Scarlet throws a fit and said "why are you saying that"? Is it because I'm pitiful or you're looking down on me but Carl said " I'm sorry if that offended you but I just don't want anyone feeling like that because I know what it feels. And then Carl just left her angrily. After that day whenever they met in class they always glare at each other. But one time their teacher paired them in a science activity. Ofcourse both of them refuses but the teacher either work together or struggle alone. But because they just want to finish it and go home they decided to work together. But just as they begin they already start arguing who should be followed. They have their own ideas that's why they couldn't start anything. Then Carl said "okay we cannot finish anything if we don't start working together. "Why don't we combine our ideas and I feel like well get it done perfectly" Then Scarlet agreed and after one hour they finally finish it and the teacher said that what exactly what I want. But then the two wandered "What do you mean?" Then the teacher said " You settled your differences and make something out of it instead of following one plan you combine your ideas to finally finish perfectly". "You know you have really a good combination". "You might not know you can be one participating in famous contest". Then the two thank the teacher and went home. But after separating ways Carl complimented her saying 'I guess you're bot bad after all, haha” and Scarlet replied "Ofcourse, I may seem like this but I have many tricks up of my sleeves, haha". After that there friendship got better. During breaks they always spend their time together stating that their friendship is better than you know having bf/gf. That they will always be there for each other. That it doesn't matter if they don't have one.
