Anita

Anita was just 17 years old in her first year in senior class of a secondary school not far away from the home when she became pregnant. this is how it happened. whenever she came back from school in the afternoon, she would rest for a while and later went to help her mom in the nearby market, where she was selling assorted fruits. on weekends, she also used to go to house elder sister, Naomi in her second hand wears business somewhere else. in this, she used to realize some money to buy a few things she might need to put herself in good shape without necessary depending on her poor mother. Anita's mother was a widow who had two children Anita and Naomi. since the death of their, none of the family members was ready to take care of them already to assist their mother simply because she was not ready to be transferred to one of her late husband's relations as a wife. therefore, this made them abandoned her and the children. she however resolved to take her two children to any level with or without their assistance. Naomi, being the elder opted out of school to Allah her younger sister, Anita continue her education in order not to overburden they are lonely mother financially their mother kicked against it but since Naomi insist that she was no longer interested in education she had to give her all the support she needed apart from the fact that Naomi had wanted to be in business or her life Anita was a highly intelligent girl a brilliant and smart girl a sharp contrast from her sister, Naomi whom people close to her family thought would be withdrawal from school to enable their mother concentrate on Anita in her education it was in this light Naomi started her second hand wears business and she was not doing badly Anita too was not faring badly and so in order for her to get some amount of money to add to whatever her mother might give her Naomi always asked her to come to her shop on weekends and Anita's mother was a strict disciplinarian despite the fact that her husband was no more and her two children respected her for that she made sure she gave Anita a very close marking in everything she was doing and it worked for some time it was in one of those visits to her sisters shop that she met Frank one of her sisters customer and a clerk in a nearby pools betting office Frank a very cool headed boy pretended as if he cared much about Anita by doing everything she requested from him even to his own inconvenience Frank had access to money because he realized some as commission on the part of the money the pools betters staked on their winnings . this morning including the one staked was not always taking to head office of the company until the evening period and by so doing whenever Anita was around it was easy for Frank to give her some out of the money this he did every Saturday for Anita who taught he was doing all that for her because he loved her it was not long before and it has started spending most of her times with Frank who use to take her on outings this she enjoyed a lot until Frank who was doing everything or calculation eventually lured her to bed . she slept with her making hot s*x scene with her which resulted to pregnancy. a few months after Frank was fired from his working place for negligence of duty he forgot to submit one of their clients coupons because he misplaced it unfortunately for him the clients in question one a very big amount of money. it was when the person in question came to claim his winnings that they found out his coupon was not taken alongside others for submission at the head office. the winner trending to Sue the company to court if his winnings were not paid and the company realize this would drag their name in the mood in order to avoid this the company was forced to pay the man but end Frank his dismissal for negligence of duty he was thrown into the labor market frustration crept into Frank's life after he had room the streets for sometimes for somewhere else all this while Anita was not aware of what was going on because she was not chance to see Frank due to the fat that it's coincided with the period of her promotional exam in school and this lasted for a whole month. unfortunately too,as if the hand of faith was harsh on her, her sister's shop Naomi had also been operated by tax force on environmental sanitation because according to them her illegal shop constituted a public nuisance. Anita felt sad the moment she heard that her sister would be relocating because it meant the opportunity she use to seize upon to see Frank would be no longer there and therefore they might not be able to see each other again what made the matter worse, was that she did not give Frank the opportunity of knowing her house and neither did she know his place except his office she taught of a way of seeing him and eventually came up with a lie. "mom, all the students in the senior classes have been asked to come to school this Saturday for a special briefing from the ministry of education and the attendance will be taken seriously Anita told her mother since her presence in the market was not really needed that period and because it had to do with her education her mother had no choice but to let her go make sure you come back on time as you know your sister will be waiting for you in her shop her mother reminded her. most importantly a mother had no course to suspect any foul play because nothing had ever happened to call for such. what informed Anita's desperation to have made her tell and mother such a lie, which she had never done before in order to see Frank was that she was aware that she was 3 months pregnant she woke up one morning to discover that she was ill and slow in action as she was wondering what the problem would be has stomach rumbled and before she could make an effort towards the toilet 'grrr!' she started vomiting but she was fortunate that her mother was not close by to make her suspect anything she quickly went to one of her friends to intimate her of her problem . "Rose, I have not been able to eat very well in the last 3 days with high temperature. even, I vomit every now and then. what could have been the problem with me?" she asked her. "Do you feel dizzy and weak as well?" Rose asked her."yes! I feel weak and sleepy too answered Anita come closer let me examine you a bit rose bid how to come closer to her she opened her eyelids as well as her Palms and discover that they were partially white one of the symptoms of pregnancy in women when last did you do your menstrual cycle? she asked her it was 2 months ago and it has said, ahhhh, I am afraid you are! rose declared they went to a doctor who confirmed their curiosity that she was 3 months pregnant this made her desperate to see Frank or the father of her situation to him but at alas! Frank was nowhere to be found immediately Anita was informed that Frank had been sacked and upon inquiries from some of his colleagues that his we are about was unknown she fainted this attracted many people to her to know what the problem was she was however revived and the started asking her many questions having realized that hiding anything at this point in time could be dangerous she opened up to them with the hope of getting someone to lead her to Frank's house . I am 3 months pregnant for him I just discovered this morning from the doctor Anita said with tears in her eyes somewhere sympathetic with her plight why others thought it served her right she was in a dilemma as regards what to do she could never imagine how her mother would absorb the shock of her becoming a mother at a very tender age when she still had a long way to go in high education thereby making her a drop out most importantly was the way about of her so called father of the baby Frank; this also meant she would be delivered of a fatherless baby how is my mother going to absorb the shock? first I got pregnant when I have not completed my education and two I am carrying a fatherless baby in my womb and the doctor has advised me not to temper with the pregnancy at this stage oh! lord, what do I do? Anita was lost in deep thoughts as she was going away absent mindedly the last thing she heard was a loud bang very close to her and she passed out Anita had been hit by an oncoming vehicle which was not on a high speed people including the driver of the car came to her aid and rushed her to the nearby clinic she was treated and after some hours was discharged because it wasn't that terrible I witnesses said she would have been run over if the vehicle had been on a high speed it was even confirmed that it was Anita who actually trade into the middle of the road and not that the driver was reckless in his driving you should thank your star that the man was not on a high speed you would have been crushed!"one of the on Lookers shouted." she is very lucky indeed!" commented another. although she had a few bruises all over her limps, she neither the less lost some blood, which was replaced by a pite of blood it was in the process of a test carried out on her to know the blood type she would need to replace the lost one, that the driver of the vehicle discovered his victim Anita was pregnant he timed his stars for not killing two people at the same time. miraculously the pregnancy was still intact. Anita felt bad because gospel her life to go and face shame, and the worst, she was discharged from the hospital to go."where to?"she asked herself.
