CHAPTER 14 PRESSURE The Monday after Pedro’s party, Blanca sat at her desk at work when her phone buzzed with a notification. She pulled out her phone and saw a text message from Isabela, telling her she’d be in late. Setting aside her phone, she skimmed through her writing piece at work, reporting on Brazil as South America’s most influential country.
