Blurb

Behind the flashing lights of a New York nightclub, she hides her face... and her pain.

Elle, known only as The Masked Dancer, performs not for fame, but for survival. Haunted by a dark past and terrified of any man's touch, she swore never to let anyone close again. When loneliness drives her to seek motherhood through a fertility clinic, she believes she's finally taking control of her life.

But fate plays a cruel trick.

A medical mix-up links her womb to a billionaire's DNA.

Lucas Dimitri, the cold yet charming hotel magnate, donates sperm as a favor to a friend - never imagining that a clerical error would make him the father of two beautiful twin girls, Maya and Dorcas. When he meets them by chance, a mysterious bond pulls him toward them... and toward the woman who hides behind the mask.

As secrets unfold and past wounds resurface, Elle and Lucas are forced to face the truth - that sometimes destiny chooses its own path, no matter how forbidden or unexpected.

Love was never part of the plan.

But neither was the miracle that bound them together.

CHAPTER1
CHAPTER 1 LUCAS P.O.V "What do you need my semen for, Dante?" I asked. "I need it for an experiment in my lab," Dante replied. "I've already used my own sample, and now I need yours." "But why mine?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "Can't you use someone else's?" "I've already explained, Lucas. I need a different DNA sample," Dante said. "And I know I can trust you." "Okay, I'll think about it," I said, taking a sip of my drink. We were at the club, enjoying ourselves with friends. "Dante, check out that lady on the dance floor," I said, nodding towards the beautiful woman. "Wow, she looks hot," Dante exclaimed. I stood up and walked over to her. "Hi," I said, flashing a charming smile. "Hey," she replied, smiling back at me. "You're a good dancer." "Thanks, handsome," she said, her eyes sparkling with flirtation. "Do you mind if I join you?" I asked, already knowing the answer. "I don't mind, handsome," she said, her voice husky. I joined her on the dance floor, and we danced the night away. As the music pulsed, I whispered in her ear, "Can we take this somewhere else?" She nodded, and I signaled to Dante that I was leaving. The next morning, I woke up with a headache. God, I had too much to drink last night. Then I heard a knock on the door. "Come in," I called out. Eva, my nanny since birth, walked in. "Sorry, Lucas, but it's already 10:30 a.m., and you're still in bed. I was wondering if everything is alright." I stood up, wearing only my boxers. Eva quickly covered her face. "God, Lucas! Put on something decent," she said, laughing. I chuckled and walked towards her, pulling her hands off her face. "Why are you covering your face, Eva? You've seen me since I was a baby." "You've grown up now," she said, smiling. "Your breakfast is cold now; let me go heat it up for you, okay." As Eva left to heat up my breakfast, I asked, "Wait, Eva, where is the lady I brought home last night?" "Oh, that. She left this morning," Eva replied. "What! But I didn't pay her," I exclaimed. "She took some money from me," Eva said, smiling. I laughed and thanked Eva. As I kissed her cheeks, she said, "But, son, when are you going to settle down and have children? I want to see your children before I die." "I promise, Eva, I'll think about it," I said. Eva smiled and said, "You're 24 years old now, Lucas. You're no longer a kid. You have your own company, hotels, and casinos all over the world. You're one of the youngest billionaires in the world. All you need is a strong woman who will help you build your future." I smiled and thanked Eva. As she left my room, I couldn't help but think about my life. I had everything I could ever want, but I knew I needed to settle down eventually. As I prepared for my shower, my phone buzzed with a text from Dante. "Man, have you considered what I told you yesterday?" I typed out a quick response. "Come to the office this afternoon." I rushed to the bathroom, my mind already shifting to the meeting ahead. ELLE P.O.V Here is the polished version: "Elle! Yes, what's the matter, Jessica?" I asked. "I need your help," Jessica replied. "What's going on?" I asked, concerned. "I need you to take my place tonight," Jessica said. "I had a call that my mom is not feeling well." "Oh, I'm sorry. Don't worry, go take care of your mom," I told her. "Elle, you're a lifesaver," Jessica said, grateful. "It's okay, Jessica. What are friends for?" I replied, and she said goodbye and left. You might be wondering what kind of work we're talking about. My name is Elle Dickson, and I'm 22 years old. Everything changed when my parents died in a car accident two years ago. They left me a vast inheritance, including properties in Spain. But my uncle, who was supposed to take care of me, had other plans. One night, when his wife was away, he came to my room and assaulted me. I told his wife about it the next day, but she didn't believe me. Instead, she beat me up, accusing me of lying about her husband. When my uncle returned, his wife told him everything. They came to my room, dragging me out of the house. "What did you tell my wife?" my uncle growled. "That I forced myself on you? You're an ungrateful girl." I protested, "This house belongs to me! You can't throw me out." My uncle sneered, "You own nothing here. Bella and Janet are the new owners now." He pushed me out of the house, leaving me with only my old belongings. "All your property is now in my name," he said. I was devastated. "You can't do that! This is my home." My uncle just shrugged. "Get out before I beat you up." I fled the house, wearing only my pajamas, and walked alone across the deserted street.
