CHAPTER 7
ELLE'S P.O.V
I had just finished bathing the twins and putting on their adorable PJs. "Are you ready for bed, girls?" I asked, scooping them up in my arms.
I settled onto the bed with them, and they crawled to my sides, each vying for attention. "Mama!" they chimed in unison.
"Yes, my dear Maya, what do you want?" I asked, gently rubbing her back.
I repeated the same soothing motion with Dorcas, feeling my heart swell with love for my little ones.
Just then, my phone rang, breaking the peaceful moment. I picked it up from the bedside table. "Hello, Elle speaking."
It was Lucas, checking in on us. I hung up the call, smiling wryly to myself. He was really making an effort to be involved in the twins' lives.
" Mama!" Dorcas exclaimed, demanding attention.
I laughed, snuggling them closer. "It's your dad," I told them, knowing they didn't understand yet.
I gazed lovingly at my daughters, thinking to myself, "Your dad is a Greek God, no wonder you both look so beautiful, my princesses."
I kissed their soft cheeks, feeling grateful for these little miracles in my life.
As they began to fuss, I knew it was time for their nighttime feeding. I pulled up my crop top, freeing my breast for them to nurse.
Maya latched onto one breast, while Dorcas took the other. I lay back, watching them with a sense of wonder.
As they drifted off to sleep, still nursing, I gently pulled my breast from their mouths and carried each of them to their cribs.
I tucked them in, pulling their soft blankets over them, and kissed their foreheads. "Goodnight, my cuties."
With a happy heart, I headed to the bathroom to shower, feeling grateful for this little family of mine.
After my shower, I slipped into a comfortable T-shirt and climbed into bed, feeling content and ready for a good night's sleep.
DANTE'S P.O.V
It had been a week since Lucas traveled to Canada, and we'd been chatting regularly. Lawyer Ben had finished processing the papers, so today I was headed to Elle's house for her to sign them.
I called her that morning to let her know I'd be stopping by. Now, as I stood in front of her house, I couldn't help but notice how nice it was. "Nice house she's got here," I thought to myself. "The stripping business must be treating her well."
I knocked on the door three times before it opened. Jessica stood before me, her eyes wide with surprise. "Hi," she said shyly.
I smirked, taking in her beauty. "Um... hi, Jessica."
We stood there, locked in a silent gaze, until I cleared my throat to break the tension. "Can I come in, please?"
Jessica apologized, "Oh, sorry. Please, come in."
As we walked to the living area, I heard Elle's voice calling out, "Jessica, who's at the door?"
Jessica replied, "It's Dante."
Elle instructed, "Oh, let him in."
We entered the living area, and Elle offered, "Please, have a seat. What can I offer you?"
I declined, "Oh, water will do."
Elle headed off to fetch the water, leaving me alone with Jessica.
When Elle returned with the water, I thanked her and took a sip. "Thanks."
I placed the glass on the tray and waited for Elle to settle in. "She'll be with you in a minute. She just finished bathing the children."
I nodded, "Oh, okay. I'm all good."
Jessica excused herself, "Let me go help her."
Two minutes later, they all came downstairs. I was taken aback by what I saw.
Elle was holding one of the twins, while Jessica held the other. I couldn't believe my eyes - they looked just like Lucas!
"Oh, God," I thought to myself. "They're beautiful."
I asked Elle, "What are their names?"
Elle replied, "The one I'm holding is Maya, and the one Jessica is holding is Dorcas."
I exclaimed, "Hello, Maya and Dorcas!"
The twins shyly hid their faces from me, and I couldn't help but find it adorable.
Elle encouraged Maya, "Say hi to Uncle Dante."
Maya turned her head, looked at me, and said, "Hi!" showing off her two tiny teeth. She then shyly turned her head again.
I couldn't help but smile. "So cute!"
