OBSESSION IN BLOOD
CHARACTERS- Kristen (Kristy) – 20 years old. Beautiful, innocent yet strong-willed. Everyone falls for her, but she’s torn between her freedom and her uncle’s suffocating love. Peter – 32 years old. Her uncle. Charming to outsiders but dangerously obsessive toward Kristen. He masks his desire under the label of “family” until it becomes uncontrollable. Layla – Peter’s girlfriend. Psychotically in love with him, yet blind to the fact that his heart—and obsession—belongs to Kristen. John – Kristen’s boyfriend. Gentle and genuine, he loves her deeply but becomes a target of Peter’s wrath. Rob – Kristen’s father. Loves his daughter but unknowingly leaves her vulnerable when he sends her to live with Peter’s family. ________________________________________ Chapter 1(The story will be like one shot) – The Return The house smelled the same as it did years ago—like old wood, faint cologne, and something warm in the air that Kristen could never place. She dragged her suitcase through the door, her heart racing with excitement. Home. “Kristy…” The voice behind her froze her in place. She hadn’t heard it in years, but the sound wrapped around her like a chain. She turned, smiling. “Uncle Peter.” He was leaning against the doorway, arms crossed, his dark eyes locked on her in a way that made her stomach twist. He looked the same, but older—sharper jaw, a little more rugged, dangerously magnetic. “You’ve grown,” he said slowly, scanning her face, her frame, as though he was memorizing every inch. His smile didn’t reach his eyes. “Too much.” Kristen laughed lightly, brushing her hair back. “It’s been years. You still look the same. My favorite uncle.” The word made something flicker in Peter’s gaze. Favorite uncle. She didn’t notice it, but he did. That night, Peter couldn’t sleep. He stood outside her room, listening to her soft laughter as she scrolled through her phone, talking to someone. His jaw tightened when he heard a man’s voice faintly through the speaker. John. Peter’s chest burned. His Kristy… already giving her heart to someone else. By morning, his decision was made. If she thought anyone—boyfriend, father, even Layla—could come before him, she was wrong. Kristy belonged to him. She always had. And he would make sure she never forgot it. ________________________________________ Chapter 2 – Boundaries The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains as Kristen came down for breakfast. Rob was already at the table, laughing at something Peter had just said. “Kristy,” her father beamed, “come sit. I was just telling Peter how proud I am of you.” Kristen smiled and slid into the chair beside Rob. Peter’s eyes followed the movement, his jaw tightening. He masked it with a smile, but inside, a storm churned. The way Rob’s hand lingered on her shoulder, the way Kristen leaned into her father’s warmth—it burned him alive. She was his favorite. She had always been. That bond, that closeness—it was supposed to belong to him. “Uncle Peter,” Kristen said between bites, “your girlfriend… Layla? Will I meet her soon?” Peter’s smile froze. “You’ll meet her,” he said flatly, his tone clipped. “But you don’t need to concern yourself with Layla.” Kristen blinked, confused. “I was just asking…” Rob chuckled, breaking the silence. “Don’t mind your uncle, Kristy. He’s always been protective. Remember how you used to follow him everywhere? Couldn’t let him out of your sight.” Kristen laughed softly at the memory. “I was a kid.” But Peter wasn’t laughing. His hand clenched around the coffee cup so tightly his knuckles whitened. She didn’t remember—he did. Her tiny hand gripping his, her voice calling him her favorite, her smile reserved only for him. That wasn’t childish attachment. That was fate. Later that day, Kristen sat in the garden, phone pressed to her ear. Her voice was softer now, tender. “Yes, John… I miss you too,” she whispered. “I’ll come see you soon.” A shadow fell across her. She turned, startled, to see Peter standing there, arms crossed. His gaze was sharp, unreadable. “Who were you talking to?” he asked. Kristen quickly locked her phone. “Just… a friend.” His eyes narrowed. “A friend who makes you smile like that?” She shifted uncomfortably. “You’re overreacting.” Peter leaned down, close enough that she could smell his cologne, feel the weight of his stare. “I’m your family, Kristy. You don’t need friends whispering sweet nothings in your ear.” Her breath caught. For a moment, he wasn’t her uncle. He was something else—something dangerous. “Peter,” Rob’s voice called from inside. “Come help me with the boxes.” Peter straightened, eyes still locked on Kristen. “We’ll talk later.” His voice was soft, but it carried a threat she couldn’t ignore. As he walked away, Kristen’s hands trembled around her phone. For the first time, she wasn’t sure if coming back home had been a mistake. And upstairs, in his room, Peter’s thoughts spiraled. John. Whoever he was, he wouldn’t last. Not if Peter had to destroy him with his bare hands. Kristy was his. She always would be. ________________________________________ Chapter 3 – The Breaking Point Kristen stood by the window that night, phone pressed against her ear, her voice hushed so no one would hear. “John… please don’t come here. My uncle is acting strange lately. I don’t want trouble.” But John’s voice on the other end was stubborn. “Kristy, I’m not afraid of him. I love you. I’m not going to let anyone scare me away.” Her heart swelled, but so did her fear. “Promise me you won’t do anything reckless,” she whispered. The floor creaked. Kristen spun around—her blood turned to ice. Peter stood in the shadows of her doorway, his expression unreadable. “How long?” His voice was calm, too calm. “How long have you been sneaking around with him?” Kristen’s throat went dry. “Uncle, it’s not what you think—” Peter crossed the room in two strides, ripping the phone from her hand. John’s voice echoed faintly before Peter ended the call, crushing the device in his grip until the plastic cracked. “You think you can hide something like this from me?” His tone was sharp, laced with fury. “You think I wouldn’t notice?” Kristen backed up until her shoulders hit the wall. “You have no right—” “No right?” Peter’s laugh was hollow, dangerous. He slammed his hand against the wall beside her head, caging her in. “I’ve watched over you since you were a child. I know you better than anyone. And now you’re telling me some boy—some stranger—can come and take you away from me?” Her eyes burned with tears. “He loves me. John is good to me—” The words set Peter ablaze. His hand shot out, gripping her chin, forcing her to look at him. His voice dropped to a whisper, trembling with obsession. “No one will love you like I do. Not your father, not John, not anyone.” She struggled in his grasp, fear pulsing through her veins. “You’re scaring me.” “Good.” His gaze darkened. “Maybe then you’ll finally understand you belong with me. Only me.” At that moment, Rob’s voice echoed from downstairs, calling her name. Peter released her abruptly, stepping back, his chest heaving. “Not a word,” he hissed. “If you tell him—or if I see you near John again—I swear, Kristy, I’ll make sure he disappears. Permanently.” Her heart stopped. He wasn’t bluffing. The look in his eyes was lethal. When Rob entered the room moments later, Peter was gone. Kristen stood frozen, trembling, clutching the broken pieces of her phone in her hands. And somewhere in the dark, Peter sat with a twisted smile, already planning how to cut John out of her life forever. ________________________________________
