Chapter 28The pull didn’t return. Badger didn’t return, either. The stain came out of my bedspread after two washings, and my pubic hair began to grow back, prickly and itchy, and I vowed never to do that to myself again. I missed my nails, now stuck moving tiny bits of paper around with tweezers in their stead as I plugged away on my project. I still liked my bangs, at least. So did my family when I saw them for the holiday.
