After, minutes of silence Trevor got up and gestured for Sebastian to follow. They rushed downstairs, Trevor clutching his wand in his hands.
At the same time, he emerged everyone stood up. Then Trevor pointed the wand at Azariah.
“Trevor, what are you doing?” Hephzibah asked and went to stand between Trevor’s wand and Azariah.
“Get out of the way,” he said face red.
“Trevor, what are doing,” Loveness went began bringing Trevor’s held hand down. But she failed.
His veins began glowing. And Loveness had no choice but to let go.
Trevor held his wand free hand and moved Hephzibah out of the way. The poor old man went flying and slammed the front door.
Azariah was holding her wand but before she could do anything Trevor waved his wand and Azariah’s wand went floating in the air out of Azariah’s reach.
“Trevor, what has she done?” Natasha asked.
The boys took the twins and Isaac then rushed upstairs. Adult talk only.
“Azariah why are the academy only after my family and me? When we met you said they are after all the wizards and witches. But so far I have seen that.....” Sebastian cleared his throat. “We have seen that is not the case,” he corrected. “What the hell are you hiding from us, you filthy old lady?” His veins were glowing even brighter. Actually, some with poor eyesight like Mrs. Sinkala and Emit looked away.
“Trevor, relax you wouldn’t like it if you did something stupid,” Loveness spoke.
“Then she better start explaining.”
“What should I tell you? I have already told you everything I know. The thing about the academy hunting only your family I do not know anything about that,” Azariah finally spoke.
“I don’t believe you,” Trevor said his wand still pointing at Azariah.
“What do you want me to do, so that you believe me?”
“You don’t have to prove anything to anyone Azariah,” Hephzibah was limping towards her. “She has already told you what she knows. And she has been helping you. Why would she put her life in danger by helping you? Just so you know everyone around you always ends up in danger.......”
“Hephzibah hold that mouth of yours? Who told you that everyone around him is always in danger? Quite the contrary we feel safe around him. So don’t ever say that again. And why are you so clinched in helping her? Aren’t you supposed to be helping him?” Loveness spoke.
“When a child is wrong it’s the parent’s duty to put him on the right path. And in this case, your husband is wrong.”
“Wait. Are you two bastards seen each other?” Sebastian asked looking suspiciously from Hephzibah to Azariah.
“Wha...... What? Are........yo.....you crazy kid?” Hephzibah stammered.
“You really need to learn how to come up with better excuses than that man,” Sebastian said.
“Are you still not gonna say anything?” Trevor asked his eyes now glowing.
“Brother-in-law I think they must be a better approach than this,” Natasha spoke. “Will you say something?” She snapped at Azariah.
“What do you want me to say, Natasha? He doesn’t believe a word I tell him,” Azariah spoke.
“I think I have a solution,” they all turned to look at Loveness well except Trevor whose concentration was still on Azariah.
“What?” Sebastian asked.
“I can go through Azariah’s memory.”
“Go through my memory? Are crazy?” Azariah spoke defensively.
“If you are telling the truth and if you don’t want him to obliterate you right here right now. You would reconsider that stupid decision,” Natasha looked at Azariah.
“Azariah, just let her do what she is talking about,” Mrs. Sinkala said still looking away.
“Alright. But don’t start looking for things that don’t concern you there ok?” Loveness nodded.
“You can relax now T,” Loveness touched Trevor’s shoulder as she passed.
She gestured for Azariah to follow her. Then sat Azariah down while she stood in front of her.
Emit and Mrs. Sinkala finally looked at everyone as Trevor’s veins and eyes stopped glowing.
They all moved and surrounded Azariah.
“Are they going to see my memories too?” She asked looking up at Loveness.
“No. Only I can see them. Don’t worry your dirty secretes her safe with me,” she grinned at Azariah.
“Who doesn’t know already. These two old bastards are dating,” Sebastian spoke.
Azariah brushed and Hephzibah’s cheeks went pink.
Without worsting any more time Loveness touched Azariah’s head on both sides. Then seconds later Azariah began closing her eyes and finally they shut so did Loveness’s.
Trevor began pacing up and down. What if Azariah kills Loveness and the baby while in memory lane? Did he make the right decision by allowing Loveness to perform her memory powers on Azariah?
Each pacing second felt like an hour to him. His pacing grew louder. No matter how many times they told him to sit down, he didn’t oblige.
He kept looking at Loveness and moving closer to her from time to time to see if she was still breathing. And to his relief every time he did that her pause was as strong as ever.
“What do you think is taking her so long?” He stopped and looked at Sebastian.
“Maybe she is having a difficult time locating her memories,” Sebastian said suggestively.
“She is just taking too long,” he resumed his pacing. This time even beating his hands together.
“Don’t forget that she took the exact amount of time when we were finding more information about Ryan,” Sebastian spoke. But Trevor didn’t respond he kept on pacing.
Seconds turned into minutes, minutes into an hour.
“I’m breaking her free,” Trevor said and began moving closer to Loveness.
Then he went flying and slammed the wall a few feet from everyone.
“What do you think you are doing?” Emit stood up. “You want to find out the truth. So just be patient.”
Trevor got up and went to sit down this time. It was like Emits magic knocked some sense into him.
After another thirty minutes both Loveness and Azariah breathed out loudly that everyone heard and got to their feet.
Trevor was just in time to catch his wife from felling. And Hephzibah ran to hold Azariah.
Everyone got to their feet.
“Are you ok my dear?” Trevor asked.
“Yeah. I’m fine just a little bit dizzy,” she touched her head.
Minutes later Natasha came with two glasses of water. She gave one to Trevor and the other one to Hephzibah.
“I didn’t have to do it. Look at you know?” He scolded in a calming voice though.
“I had to. Or you would have made a grave mistake,” she sighed and Trevor helped her to sit.
“What do you mean?” He asked looking at Azariah, who looked just as pale as Loveness.
“Well,” she moved to sit comfortably. “Azariah is not working with the academy. What she told you was all she knew,” Loveness spoke.
“See,” Hephzibah said cursing under his breath.
“But why are they after me and my family? Then I think they didn’t come to kill all the wizards and witches. They came for me and my family. And all that thing about attacking Ssessop was all staged up to make us believe that they are after every wizard and witch,” Trevor said, “and I’m sorry Azariah. I shouldn’t have acted the way I did,” he looked at her apologetically.
“It’s ok. Just don’t go around doubting everyone around you,” she said.
“So what is our next move? At any moment those bastards are going to come and try to break the shield. I’d they broke the strong force stopping them to enter inside. No other shield can stop them,” Sebastian spoke looking at Trevor.
“They can’t come here because I’m around. But just for the in cases, we need to be on high alert. And Sebastian I think we need to pay the library a visit. We need to know why those assholes are after us.”
“Yeah.”
Trevor gestured for Natasha to take his place and he got up.
“Are you two coming with us or remaining with your wives,” he looked from Emit to Hephzibah.
They just got up and followed him. They walked through the dark passage halls then finally reached the library. He opened it and they entered.
They went and sat around the table. Then after a few moments, Trevor got up and began looking through the books.
The three of them got up looking at him with puzzled expressions.
“What are you staring at? start looking!” He snapped.
“What are we supposed to be looking for? We don’t have guessing abilities you know,” Sebastian spoke.
“Anything that as the filthy name academy on it,” he said still looking through the books.
They all went in different directions. Sebastian remained down with Trevor. While Emit and Hephzibah climbed the ladder and began looking on the second floor.
After, looking for almost an hour and a half they went and sat around the table again, helplessly.
Trevor was spinning his wand on the table. Sebastian playing with his wands. Then Emit and Hephzibah were talking to each other in a whispery way. Probably about their love affairs.
After, sitting helplessly around the table his wand suddenly stopped moving. He tried to spin it but it didn’t move. It was pointing towards the east.
They exchanged thoughtful looks. Then a sparkle of blue light left the wand. It began forming until it was a full tennis-sized ball.
They got to their feet. Then before they could process what just happened the glowing blue ball began moving.
They looked at each other again then began following it.
It passed the ladder to the second floor then to the third floor. Until it stopped at the sixth floor. They stopped looking at it intently.
It began moving through the books and finally hit a brownish-looking book. And it vanished.
Trevor moved forward and took the book. It had a weird dragon symbol on it. Very hard like the cover was made of sandpaper.
He examined it further, then shadow walked to the first floor.
Seconds later the three of them appeared. They went and sat around the table again.
“Did you do that?” Sebastian asked looking at Trevor who was nodding.
Trevor opened the book and the first thing he read was the four academies. The hair at the back of his head stood up. He began reading feather. Loud enough for everyone to hear.
“The academy can only be in four pairs, that’s when their powers are at their full potential. When one or two dies their powers began decreasing,” he cleared his throat and carried on. “One thing that is believed to reduce their life span even when they are in a pair of four is the wizard with three kids and above,” he looked at them then turned to the book again. “When a wizard with nature powers as three kids they became four which means they can replace the academy at any given moment.”
He closed the door and got up face turned red. He began pacing once more. No one dared to say anything. Until Trevor, himself broke the silence.
“No wonder they are after my unborn child. Because when she is born we are going to become four. And that will reduce their powers, making us became the academy instead,” he stopped at looked at everyone. “We need to find them and put an end to their misery, don’t you think?” He looked from face to face.
They all just nodded and he resumed his pace. Beating his hands together.
“But is there anything we can use to defeat them?” Sebastian asked.
“Weren’t you listening?” Trevor stopped.
“I was.”
“Then you must have heard that they can’t stand being in the same room as me or any of my kids. And since one of them has died, their life span has reduced. All we need to do now is trap them.” He sat down again.
“So we need to allow them to break in?” Hephzibah asked.
“Not here. I don’t want to give them an opportunity to attack my family. We have to take them somewhere. Where they will be trapped with me. For at least five minutes. I think that will reduce enough energy from them. Then we can attack and kill those assholes.”
They allowed silence to blow in. All of them thinking about a place they could trap the Academy. And how were they going to do it? The academy is not foolish enough to fail for their plan. And anything that involves them being around Trevor was something they will never do. So whatever plan they were strategizing better be as smart as it could be. Or else Trevor and his family might just die in the next twenty-four hours.
