“Alright, all of you, let’s leave him alone, so he can take rest,” Loveness said and began chasing everyone.
“Listen boys, I will do everything in my powers to save Sebastian, ok?” The boys nodded as Trevor unwrapped them from a bone breaking hug.
They all left the room and left him alone. After he heard the footsteps die down, he jumped from bed and wore something warm.
God knows what Loveness was thinking to leave him alone. She knows her husband very well, and yes, she left him alone.
Trevor waved his wand and seconds later appeared inside Santa’s dan. But he still didn’t have enough energy because he was leaning on the chair again.
Death and Hope looked at each other, then turned to Trevor.
“Are you fine now? You just went unconscious earlier,” Death spoke.
“I’m fine. And Hope, thanks for calling my son. But don’t even use that mind thing to make him or anyone to do stupid things, or I will forget you even helped me.”
“So, what did you want before you went unconscious?” Death said, changing Trevor’s topic.
“Oh, yeah. Do you have anything linking to the man who believes messages for her? Maybe a parcel.”
“I think I might have something inside my room. A box of some kind,” Hope said.
“Nice. And just to be clear, you are talking about that creep old castle of yours, right?”
“Yeah, the one you destroyed,” Death said through clenched teeth.
“Yes, but I was thinking we can help you,” Hope said suggestively.
“Hard pass. You bastards are still a threat to my family. So, no. And don’t forget, we can’t be too close to each other. Anyway, I will on my way. I have less time.”
Without waiting for a reply, he winked out of sight. Then seconds later appeared at the academies rocky castle.
To his relief, the serpents were nowhere to be seen. So, this might just be a straightforward job. He opened the front door into the castle and went in.
The room was dim, and the only light was coming from the candle hanging on the wall. Trevor’s back hair stood by this. If the serpents were not inhabiting the place, then why are the candles still burning?
Could someone be in the castle? Or the serpents are still at the castle, and they were just in a meeting or something?
He looked from side to side, but he couldn’t sense any magic around.
The room and rocky walls. Even the tables and chairs that occupied it were made of stones.
He began walking and entered a marble passage wall.
It was also dim, due to the candles still burning on the walls.
He took a turn and began climbing a rocky wall. The problem was, he had no idea where to find Hope’s room. So coming across serpents wouldn’t be as bad.
He carried on walking and reached the room of the academy of Memory.
He remembered the room because last time he went hiding inside it and witnessed something horrifying.
Then a thought hit him. If Memory’s room was in that passage wall, then the rooms for the other academies might be as well.
He carried on walking and reached another door. He opened it and went inside.
There was a bed on the other side of the room. Sheets spread perfectly. Too bad by the time he finishes with it, it won’t look as neat.
Then he turned and saw a chair and a table on the other side. Then he spotted a closet.
He rushed to it and began throwing clothes out. After a couple of minutes, he left the closet and to the bed. He removed the sheets and turned the bed upside down. Still no box to be seen.
By the time he finished, the all room was looking like it just survived an earthquake.
He left the room and went into the next one.
The room had a similar design to the previous one. But the owner of that bedroom didn’t spread the bed like the other bed.
He went to the closet and began searching, leaving no cloth unturned.
From the closet, he went to the bed and there was nothing.
“Dammit,” he kicked the bed and slid a few feet.
If he keeps on worst time like this in every room, he might be too late to save Sebastian.
He sat on the bed and began beating his hands together.
“Where the hell is the box?” He asked himself.
Then, as he got up to go into the other room, he heard footsteps outside the bedroom.
“Oh, s**t,” be gasped.
He saw shadows stop at the door as they whispered to each other.
What if they sensed his presence? What the hell was he going to do? Could be the serpents, or it was someone else? Because if it was the serpents, he might have sensed their energy long ago.
He tiptoed to the door and leaned to listen.
“She will be here in less than two hours, man,” a gentleman’s voice oozed.
“Then we need to get to work,” another man said, and they carried on walking.
Trevor went and sat on the bed again. They are waiting for a woman. And judging by their tone, she was their boss. Could it be the same one who kidn*pped Sebastian? In that case, sticking around would be a great idea. But he still needs to find that box. Having a Plan B isn’t that bad.
He opened the door slightly, then after seeing that no one was in the passage wall, he went out of the room and jumped inside the next room.
It was also with the same design as the other two.
He went to the closet and began his searching. Then, just as he turned to go and mess the bed, he spotted a small blue box on top of a trash can.
He walked over and picked it up. Could it be one? Hopefully.
He went and sat the box on the table. Then he called to his wand and seconds later, it appeared in his arms.
He waved it, then blue light left his wand and struck the box. But nothing happened,
“Dammit,” he cursed.
He shook himself and gave his wand another casual flick. Yet again, nothing happened.
“Maybe it’s not the same box,” he said. “Another try wouldn’t hate.”
He waved his wand yet again, and as blue light struck the box, something began forming on top of it.
Trevor took two steps backward. Then some sort of TV screen got created on top of the box.
A tall man in a black suit and a black mask on his face stood in front of the four academies.
Then he removed a small box behind him and handed it to Hope. And the screen disappeared.
“No, no, no. I want to see where the man is going!” He went to the box.
He waved his wand again, but nothing happened.
“How the hell I may going to find out about the man’s whereabouts now? Dammit.”
The only thing he was left to do was to wait for the woman. Who knows, she might have answers to his questions.
*
Thirty minutes passed, and finally an hour passed. He kept on pacing in the room, wondering what the hell was taking the woman so long.
He kept glancing at the door, hoping so see if their meeting had begun, but nothing.
Hoping to hear footsteps, but still nothing. If he failed to rescue Sebastian, then he might as well not go back home. He just can’t stand looking into Sebastian’s children's eyes, much less Natasha’s.
If he didn’t piss off whatever woman kidn*pped Sebastian, then this wouldn’t have happened. God knows if he even pissed off the woman, she just misunderstood things.
But because of her cowardly behavior, Natasha kept on blaming Trevor for her husbands’ disappearance. So, whatever the explanation, she was going to die.
Also, because of her stupid acts, he failed to visit the vicious looking black dog. According to the dog, Trevor and it were cousins. And judging by its appearance, it was a deadly one. But if only the woman didn’t kidnap Sebastian, then he would have known if the dog was telling the truth or lying.
Could it really be his cousin? If so, then why was it locked inside Santa’s dan? And what did it mean by saying it was the one who was supposed to take over Trevor’s house? It also mentioned the house talking. And that Trevor didn’t understand the house, that is why he is going through this. But that was absurd, h a house talking? No way.
So, not only does he need to kill the woman for k********g Sebastian, but for disturbing his discussion with the dog.
He began walking towards the door, in hopes of hearing something progressive. Then just as he touched the doorknob, he heard voices about ten feet away.
He stepped back from the door and called his wizard powers. If, by any chance, they were entering the room he was in, they were in for a fight.
But they passed running. A few minutes later, he heard other footsteps pass the bedroom.
“The damn meeting has started,” he chuckled lightly.
Then, after a couple more footsteps had passed, he opened the door and began going in the direction the voices were coming from.
He climbed the marble staircase, then took a turn to the right.
The voices kept on glowing louder and louder, and finally, he reached the door the voices were coming from.
The door was rocky and a rather shiny doorknob.
He pressed his ear on the door, then a woman spoke.
“My, I have your attention, please!” Her voice echoed in the room, and they all went quiet. “Thank you. As you have heard, we have a special prisoner with us today,” she paused for a few minutes then carried on. “Hopefully, you all know who he is.” The began murmuring, then the woman’s voice echoed again, “to those who don’t know him, his name is Sebastian,” the continued shouting all sorts of insults.
She allowed the shouting to die down, then she carried on.
“Because of him, you have lost your leader, isn’t it?” They all shouted yes, “and you want to see Trevor in pain, right?” They shouted yes again.
“You won’t get away with this woman. Trevor will be here. And believe me, he won’t spare any of you. None, will be spared,” Sebastian said.
Trevor’s eyes widened, both in fear of what she might do and in astonishment to hear his friend’s voice again.
“You have been saying that for a while now, dog. Just accept the fact that Trevor is a cold-hearted person like his father was!” the woman shouted.
“He is nothing like his father, old lady!” Sebastian shouted back.
“Did you just call me old lady?” The woman said, and Trevor could hear the anger in her voice burning.
Everyone went quiet. He needed to act.
Now.
He touched the handle and stormed inside the room.
Everyone turned to see who just disturbed their peace and quiet moment.
Trevor stood about five feet from everyone, standing with a rather might pause.
The room was just a vast hall, with a chandelier containing multiple candles. Then there was like a stage in front, where Sebastian was and the woman who Trevor recognized very well.
“Reyar,” he gasped.
The men and women began charging towards him, but Reyar told them to stand down.
“I thought we discussed about cowardly behaviors, Reyar. Or are your ears to point to hear what anyone is telling you?” Trevor said and began moving forward.
“If it’s Trevor. I have to say, you surely love your family and friend a lot,” she clapped her hands.
“Cut the crap, woman. You want me, not him. Now release him,” he looked at Sebastian, who was smiling from ear to ear.
“I knew you bastard will come. But what the hell took you so long?” He shouted.
“Long story man. And learn to appreciate,” Trevor replied.
“This is no time for your family affairs,” Reyar interrupted.
Trevor paced through the serpents and finally climbed on the stage.
“But I also didn’t think you are that stupid. How the hell could you come here alone? Look around you. All of them want you dead. And you come here alone,” Reyar smirked.
“Leave that for me to deal with. But before I humiliate you in front of you under dogs, I need you to tell me something. Let me rather say I have questions for you,” Trevor spoke.
“Just a quick reminder, you are at my mercy. I can kill your friend right here, right now. So don’t do anything stupid,” Reyar said, and held Sebastian by the neck.
“Will see about that,” he whispered for only him to hear.
