CHAPTER TWELVE

They appeared in the curve where Sebastian and Azariah lay unconscious. Trevor dragged Erup and stop beside Sebastian. “Do your healing thing,” Trevor said, gesturing at Sebastian. Without retorting, Erup kneed down. He held his hands on top of Sebastian. Then, seconds later, they began glowing. He moved them through Sebastian’s body. And after a few minutes, got back up. “Well,” Trevor began. “I will be ok in a few minutes,” Erup said lamely. “Help Azariah as well.” Erup didn’t move, “did you hear me?” Trevor repeated. “Do I have to?” “Yes. Now help her.” “Let her stay like this for a little longer. She deserves it,” he glared at her. “Erup.” “Alright.” He went and kneed down. Held his hands and repeated the same process as he did with Sebastian. “Done. Can I go now?” “Wait, they woke up.” After about five minutes, Sebastian opened his eyes. “You scared me, you asshole. I have been trying to wake you up,” Trevor said. “What happened?” He groaned. “Well, the academy kicked you werewolf ass.” “Damn.” Minutes later, Azariah coughed. They turned to her. Trevor knees beside her. “Are you ok?” He asked. “Yeah. Just my head,” she sighed. “Can I go now?” Erup blurted. Trevor got up and touched. Before Azariah could retort about her wand, Trevor shadow walked. And seconds later they were in the leaving room. “Trevor, what the hell is going on?” Loveness demanded. “Fill you up later. Bye,” he shadow walked back. Sebastian and Azariah were standing beside the table, except for this time it was not glowing. Trevor walked at stood to the left of Sebastian. “Do you think they completed the ritual?” Trevor asked, looking at Azariah. “I’m not sure. But I just hope we interrupted them in time,” she sighed. “Oh, here is your wand,” he handed her the wand. She took it with a glare, “what happened to your wand?” The opposite of what he was expecting happened. Instead of been shouted at, she sounded sorrowful. He put his hand in the pocket and removed the two pieces of his wand. Both Azariah’s and Sebastian’s eyes widened. And they allowed silence to blow in. Then. “I have tried repairing it but nothing has worked so far,” he spoke in a low tone. “Let me give it a try,” Azariah said. “It’s of no use, Azariah. I have tried everything,” he said helplessly. “Will, you just put it on the table?” She snapped. Trevor put his wand on the table. Then Azariah raised her wand, and she muttered something that neither Trevor nor Sebastian understood. Purple light left her wand and struck Trevor’s but only smoke left the wand. She again repeated, still nothing. “I have to you,” he took the pieces and put them in his pocket. There was a pause for a heartbeat, then Sebastian spoke. “So what is next?” “Right now I don’t, man,” Trevor sighed. “And why are we still alive? I thought they were gonna kill us,” Azariah spoke. “I think it had to deal with the fact that their powers were decreasing. So before they ended up killing themselves, they ran away,” Trevor said. “So what the red-haired lady said is the truth. Those bastards are useless around you,” Sebastian said. “Looks like it. But we shouldn’t relax. We need to find them, and fast. You saw what they did to Ssessop. It’s only a matter of time before they find a way to break the force preventing them from entering my house.” “Well, we have lost the shirt. So we do not know where they are right now,” Azariah said. “We go back to their place then,” Trevor smirked. “But your wand?” Sebastian asked. “The boys are looking for a solution. In the meantime, my half-demon powers will do.” “And the marbles? We need them. Your energy has even decreased, I presume.” “I even forget about that. You and Azariah should go and get them. But don’t let anyone see you, especially the ladies. Or they will roast you with questions. Also, keep an eye on her. This time I’m not taking any chances,” he glared at her. “I thought we were bonding,” she spoke. “Please. Now go. We don’t have much time.” Sebastian touched Azariah, and they winked out of sight. After seeing that, he ran to a corner, unzipped his pants, and urinated. Then after a minute he flapped it twice and zipped his pants. He strode back to the table and began examining it. Then he began touching the edges and felt something on the last side of the table. He kneed to see what it was, but it was written in a language he couldn’t read. He began checking his pockets, but his phone was not there. A thought hit him. He left the table and started examining the room even more. His bag stood a few feet from him. He ran and picked it up. Presumably, the academy thought it was just useless since they couldn’t pull anything out of it. Because the only one who can get what it contained was Trevor. He unzipped the bag and pulled his phone. Then he went running back to the table and took a picture of the writing on the edge of the table. Just as he was going through the pictures, a gateway appeared, and Sebastian and Azariah came out of it. As usual, arguing about silly things. “The boys think they have something to repair your broken wand,” Sebastian said, still glaring his one good eye at Azariah. “Nice. But I didn’t tell them my wand was broken. How did they know?” Trevor asked. “This i***t blurted it out,” Azariah spoke, and they carried on arguing. “Will you stop?” He snapped. “Those bastards are on the run, and all you do is argue. Please, you need to stop it. We need to go back to their house.” “But what if they are there? They don’t have enough energy to go around killing witches and wizards. The remainder of their energy was drained by you,” Azariah said. “Dammit. How are we gonna find out if they are there or not? We have no choice here but to go there I think.” “Trevor, you are not thinking straight. I fully understand you want to protect your kids and your family. But right now, you have no wand. And you saw their fighting techniques are that good. So please reconsider,” Sebastian spoke. “We will just go and get the shirt then. We need it when we go out looking for them again.” “Alright.” Sebastian took one of the black marbles and slammed it on the ground. A gateway came to life, and they quickly jumped in. They landed inside the room Trevor was interrogating the woman. They were all in fighting stances. Just in case. But they relaxed their shoulders upon seeing that there was no danger around them. Trevor ran to the closet. Took another shirt and came back to the two. Sebastian slammed another marble on the floor, and a gateway opened. They jumped in and landed inside Trevor’s house. They went and sat down as everyone kept looking at them. Waiting for them to explain. But they just went, leaned on the couches, and gave a sigh of tiredness. They all exchanged thoughtful looks, asking each other silently what the hell was going on? Trevor straightened up. “Hey people,” he said. “Hey,” they all said. “Trevor, what the hell is going on? You just keep coming and going without saying a thing,” Loveness spoke. “The only thing I can tell you right now is that, keep staying indoors. We found the academy but couldn’t kill them. So our lives are still in danger,” he looked up at them. “Boys, did you find out about what I told you?” They nodded, “nice. Let’s go you show me then,” he got up, “Azariah, you might be needed,” he turned to look at her. She got up, and they began heading to the library. “Oh, and you two,” he pointed at Emit and Hephzibah. “I have something that needs translation. I was thinking you might know what it means.” “They are some I might know how to translate to English, but not all. Anyway, let me see,” Emit said. “I will show you later. First my wand,” without waiting for a reply, they went out of sight. They arrived in the library, and the boys led Trevor to the table. A book with a hard blue cover was on the table. Trevor leaned closer to see what was written on it, ‘wand repair spells.’ He began flipping the pages, and he almost had done half of the spells in the book. “I think it is close to the middle of the book,” Justine spoke. Trevor carried on flipping them two pages from the middle of the book, a spell caught his eyes. He examined it for some time, then looked at Azariah, gesturing for her to give him the wand. Without arguing, Azariah handed Trevor the wand. He then took his broken wand and lay it on the table. The wand was still glowing where the two pieces separated. He then raised Azariah’s wand and mattered something no one heard the only thing audible was repairal. Purple lightning appeared from all directions and struck at the tip of the wand. Trevor then pointed Azariah’s wand at his and the purple light was transferred to his wand instead. Everyone stepped back, even Trevor. Because a purple enormous bubble formed around the wand. And it kept on getting extended. It was not until the bubble covered half of the library that Trevor heard a loud bust. And they all went flying backward and struck the bookshelves, then struck the floor. The last thing he saw was his wand floating in the air. Completely fixed. “I did it,” he sighed, and his eyes became heavy for him to keep them open. He felt the splash of water on his face, then he slowly peeled them open. He looked around and realized he was still in the library. Sebastian, with his one good, was staring at him. And just by looking, you can see the fear in the man’s eyes. Loveness was kneeling beside him, tears drenching on her face. He turned and saw Natasha sprinkling water on the boys. Then Emit and Hephzibah were helping Azariah up. “The boys,” he tried getting up back stumbled and Sebastian caught him. “They are ok. Just unconscious,” Loveness spoke, drying her eyes. Sebastian helped Trevor up and dragged him to the chair on the table. Then he went back and helped Justine and Mutale. And finally, Erup. The boys were now conscious. They all sat around the table. Except for Emit and Hephzibah. Trevor just realized something. The wand. He looked at the center of the table and there it lay. A black shiny wand. He took it and examined it. A smile stretched over his face. “I did it,” he sighed again. “Did you just say I?” Azariah asked. “Yeah,” he said in an obvious tone. “Seriously, dad? Look at us? We are in this state because we were helping you. And here you are saying you did it, instead of we,” Mutale said, touching his fractured bones. “Don’t even think for a second that I will help you again,” Erup said. “Well, I aren’t laying. I was the one who did the spell......” “With my wand,” Azariah cut in. “And with the book we worked so hard to find,” Justine added. “Whatever. I did it. Anyway, now that I have my best friend. No offense, man,” he looked at Sebastian, who was glaring at him. “We can take on the Academy again. But first I need some sleep. Ok maybe a little longer,” he added. “And not to be a party pooper, but the Academy was trying to break in earlier,” Emit said. “What?” They all gasped. “Yeah. But a strange force was stopping them. We were unable to find out what force it was. But it worked,” Hephzibah mentioned. “And why are we finding out about this just now?” Trevor asked, anger burning in his eyes. “You were too busy. And not to add to your troubles, we thought we would handle it ourselves,” Emit spoke. “We were busy looking for them, you bastards. And instead of you telling us those assholes were here, you chose to be heroes!” He shouted. “They came here after you fought with them. And when you come here, you didn’t give us any chance to tell you,” Hephzibah spoke. “Trevor, relax. They didn’t do any harm to anyone. Just relax. And you should go and get that sleep of yours,” Loveness spoke. “This isn’t over,” he said to Emit and Hephzibah. They all left the library. And it went to its small size.
