CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

2296 Words
“Do you still think you have a chance?” The academy of death asked. “Well, trying is the best option, I guess,” Trevor responded matter-of-factly. “Well, let’s see,” the academy smirked. Trevor called to his nature powers and sent vines flying towards the academy. But two glowing blue chains erupted from the academy’s hands. He sent them towards the vines. And just as the blue chains wrapped around the vines, the vines dried up. Then he directed the chains towards Trevor. Before they could hit him, Trevor shadow walked and appeared on the other side of the room. “Will you quit that!” The Academy snapped. Then immediately he sent two fireballs towards Trevor. The shield appeared again. And the fireballs vanished upon impact with the shield. Trevor snapped his fingers and fire emerged from where the academy was standing. But the Academy of death jumped out of the fire and extinguished the fire on him. Trevor flicked his wand and a jet of blue light went flying towards the Academy of death. It struck him and the man just stumbled and got back to his feet. Trevor shadow walked but only to end up in the Academy of death’s chains. The academy swung Trevor in the air, then released him after about three rounds. He went cartwheeling in the air, flipping, then he flexed his shoulders and the wings emerged before he slammed into a wall. He clapped his wings, and the Academy held his hands into a latter X sing to kind of prevent himself from being sent flying by the wind. Then Trevor held his hands up to lift the Academy, but that didn’t help at all. The academy charged towards him and Trevor flipped to land on the other side and the Academy slammed thin air. Trevor quickly flapped his wings, before the Academy could know what was happening. And uppercut the academy. So hard his jaw broke. The academy lifted his feet from the ground about an inch and fell flat on his back. He then called his nature powers and wrapped the vines around the academy. The academy of death tried to move, but it was of no use. The vines were too hard to be broken. Then Trevor turned to Egayov. And the back of his hair stood. Egayov was holding the heart of the academy of memory. “Dude, will you throw it away?” Trevor said, looking at Egayov disgustedly. “Don’t act like you are better. You have seen way more s**t than this,” he took one glance at the heart and threw it away. Then he turned to look at the academy hanging in the air by the vines. He was still struggling, but that didn’t help him in any way. “What are we gonna do with them?” Egayov asked, looking from the academy of death to the Academy of hope. “Well, these assholes messed with my life. So they should be punished. And I think I just have the thing,” he smirked, looking at the academy of hope. “What?” Egayov asked. Looking totally lost. “They can’t stand been near me. So staying with them in the same room will be torture for them,” he explained. “Oh, nice,” he smiled. Then, just as they turned to the Academy of death. The door suddenly blew inwards. Trevor and Egayov ducked, and the door went past them. They both looked up. It was the serpents. Presumably, they heard the noise and came to save their boss. But they just brought themselves to death. “Can you handle that?” Trevor looked at Egayov. “Do I have. “ “To remind me that I’m still your prisoner? No, you don’t. I understand that perfectly clear. And we don’t have time for this. Now, will you deal with them while a make these bastards pay?” “Yeah, whatever,” Egayov said lamely and charged towards the serpents. Trevor held his hands and the vines holding the Academy of hope and those holding the Academy of death began moving in the direction Trevor was going. The academy of death began laughing so loudly his deep voice echoed in the room. Trevor turned, “I don’t recall that death is fun,” then he laughed at his joke. “Well, it just happens that having hope is all you need,” the Academy If hope said. “That joke isn’t fun, if that is what you were hoping for. Hope,” he again laughed. He went onto the stage and sat on the Academy of death’s chair. “These chairs are by far the most uncomfortable ones. Do you enjoy them?” He looked at the two academies hanging in the air. “To us they are. Right death?” “Yeah. And enjoy it while it lasts, boy,” death carried on laughing. Trevor studied both of them for a few minutes. Something was off. But the question was, what was it? If he fells to kill the Academy right here, then another chance was not coming. And his unborn baby was still in danger. He looked at Egayov, who was walking towards them. Ripped bodies everywhere. And blood was flooding the floor. He looked at the door. But it was now covered by the wall. “And what are they laughing at?” Egayov asked, whipping blood from his hands. “I don’t know. But I think they are just eager to die. Right death?” But death didn’t reply he was just laughing. “Boy, you are not the only one with allies,” Hope said. “What do you mean?” Trevor asked. Then it hit him before Hope could even reply. “Who is your ally?” His veins began growing. “Mind you, I’m now an Academy killer,” he mentioned. “Well, that wouldn’t matter. Would it?” Death spoke. And before Trevor could respond, the sidewall blow inwards. And a female figure stood at the entrance. She sent two huge fireballs from her hands and the fireballs struck the vines. Then before the Academy hit the floor, she did something with her hands and they suddenly appeared beside her. “Told you, you are not the only one,” Hope said, still laughing. “Mother!” Egayov spoke. “What? Egayov, what the hell is going on here?” Trevor got up from the couch. And immediately held his hands, lifting Egayov in the process, “start explaining,” he looked at Egayov, eyes burning with anger. “Look man, I’m as surprised as you are,” Egayov said. “Mother, what are you doing?” He snapped at the woman. “Rayer!” Trevor gasped as the woman stepped out of dust. “You,” he turned to Egayov. “Believe me, I didn’t know about her involving herself with them,” he said matter-of-factly. “Reyar, I thought you were on my side. What Is the meaning of this s**t? I should have known. And I don’t believe you either,” he held his hand and lifted Egayov. “Revenge, what else,” she walked closer to him. Her body was curvy. Long black hair with point ears. She wore a rather dashing dress, which is not meant for the scene at hand. Her eyes were burning with resentment, staring into Trevor’s eyes. “What do you want revenge for? Oh, let me guess I took your husband’s attention from you as well,” Trevor said. “Kind of. You are close,” she smiled. “And do you actually think that i***t would pull this off?” She pointed at her son, “I’m saying he didn’t know about this. He is an i***t, so I knew he would be softened by you. So I had to take drastic measures,” she looked at the academy. The academy were both still powerless. Trevor looked at their power source. The chairs. He turned and looked at the academy, smiling devilishly. Then he snapped his fingers, and the chairs got destroyed. “You will. Pay. For that boy,” Death said. “Oh, please,” Trevor said and realized Egayov. “And you,” he turned to Reyar, “what do you want to avenge me for? If you don’t have anything better, can you leave I finish these two assholes up,” his breath grew heavier. This is the only chance he had to finish the Academy. If he misses this chance, then his baby is still in danger. “Your mother,” Reyar finally said. “What does my mother have to do with this nonsense?” He apologetically looked at Egayov. And Egayov looked back at him, in a it’s alright way. The room was now a mess, benches broken, walls destroyed. And blood everywhere. The serpents were now behind the Academy. Trevor and Egayov were about numbered. So the only way to fight them is by careful strategic planning. And keeping the conversation going seemed to be the best strategy at hand. “What does my mother have to do with this?” He asked again. “My husband never loved me because of her,” she finally said, “he never missed a chance to be around her. Despite her not loving him back, he always did what she asked him to do,” she added. And was now ten feet from Trevor. “And killing her brought me joy, but it was short-lived. I will only be satisfied....“ “If you kill her son,” she nodded with a dark grin on her face, “but I want to be clear on something,” she looked at him attentively. But despite him looking straight into her eyes. His mind was elsewhere at the moment. He was gesturing something to Egayov. “How did you kill my mother? Because as far as I know. Siobhan, that blood bastard, killed my parents. Not you. “ “I can’t deny the fact that your parents were really strong. So working together seemed to be the best way to go about killing them,” she paused for a breath, then continued after a few seconds, “if they could kill Ryan, a person with nature powers. Who am I to confront them? And congratulations on your nature powers,” she dipped her head. “Gee thanks, grandmother. And don’t worry, I will get back to you. One of the people you worked with to kill my parents is dead, Azariah’s son. He has paid his debt. Siobhan ran away. So he is still owing me. And you. Enjoy while it lasts. Right now I have to deal with these bastards,” he looked through her shoulder to the Academy. “You have to go through me,” she said. “Sorry to disappoint you, mother. But father was right. Trevor shall we,” Egayov said, looking at his mother disappointedly. Reyar looked from Trevor to her son and they were both holding the green vine that protruded from Trevor’s hand to Egayov. “See you,” Trevor smirked at Reyar. And within seconds Egayov pulled Death and Hope and Trevor shadow walked them from that place. Seconds later, they appeared inside the library. And before the Academy could act smart. Trevor wrapped them with vines. And lay them on the floor. “You bastards are dying. Today,” he enunciated the last word. “Egayov, look after them. I’m going to check on my family. Just a second, ok?” Egayov nodded and Trevor winked out of sight. Seconds later, he appeared in the living room and everyone was at the dinner table. While at least he thought everyone was there. But that was not important at the moment. “Uncle Trevor,” Isaac said and left his chair to run into Trevor’s hands. Surprisingly, the boy was still the same height as Trevor left him. But that was also something to think about later. “Emit, Hephzibah and Sebastian. Let’s go now!” He snapped and released Isaac. Everyone was staring at him in awe. But the three men didn’t decline, they just went. Trevor touched Sebastian’s shoulders. “Library,” he said to Emit and Hephzibah. Then shadow walked. Seconds later appeared two feet from Egayov. Then, a second later, both Emit and Hephzibah appeared on the opposite side. “You,” Emit said and sent a ball of fire towards his son. Egayov, not knowing what was happen went flying in the air and slammed into the bookshelf. “Emit relax. He is with me,” Trevor said and blocked Emits’ way. “What do you mean you are with him?. Oh, s**t, what are these two doing here?” Sebastian said upon seeing the academy. “This is what I want to show you. It’s a long story. So let’s sit down. Don’t worry, they are not going anywhere,” he added as he noticed their looks. They walked to the table and Egayov followed behind. Then, as they sat around the table, Trevor tapped his nature powers and the Academy got dragged towards him. He sighed. Story time.
