Early the next morning, I was jolted awake by a frantic knock at the door. I rubbed my pounding head and went downstairs to answer the door. Elliot stood outside, looking rather worn out. The moment he saw me, he frowned and demanded an answer. "Why did you change the code?" Before I could answer, footsteps came from behind me. The next second, Nathan appeared at the staircase in one of my T-shirts, since he had thrown up on his own clothes. His voice was hoarse with sleep. "Who is it? Who is ruining my sleep so early in the morning?" Elliot's expression instantly turned cold. His gaze darkened as he looked at me, and he spoke each word slowly. "It seems I came at a bad time. I interrupted something between you two."
