Chapter 9 the k********g

Afterword spread about Christine and Antonio’s engagement spread throughout Olympus people were so happy for them. The fact they were inseparable since they got to Greece doesn’t surprise them one bit… but during the middle of the night, Christine was taken in a fit of jealousy and rage! Hades not only being sneaky was jealous of Antonio and Christine. He did not like that they were so happy and it was making everyone else happy; he hated happy no one is sure why. He took her to his home in the underworld and it surrounded her by his "pets", a Cerberus (a three-headed dog), and a hydra. Not exactly good company when they are trying to eat you... Her hands and feet were tied up so she could go nowhere, and she could not scream for help cause her mouth was tied up too…

 Antonio didn't know until morning. He groans as he stretches the sleep off and rubs his eyes slowly waking up.

“Morning Christine… Christine-Christine, where are you? Come on, this isn’t funny… show yourself… oh boy this isn’t good-not good at all… WH-what to do? Oh, I know tell Hermes and then they’ll be a huge search party…" He yells as loud as he could without harming his throat, "HERMES!” 

“Yes, my lord what’s wrong?” He bows to him out of respect.

“Christine is missing that’s what’s wrong? Tell Apollo and Aphrodite and throw a search party go-go now!” 

“Oh, this is not good… I’m going I'm going!” Hermes told Apollo and Aphrodite well they didn’t take it well… even the mortals could tell something wasn’t right… they were searching high and low but while on the search Nemesis found a note. 

“Hey, Apollo I found something you might want to look at!” Nemesis gave Antonio the note she found. She felt bad for her son... she could tell he liked her possibly loved her.

 “Let me see it…

To whoever finds this…?

I know you’ll be searching high and low for your precious goddess Christine… but now low enough… she’s with me and since you killed my guard dog I had to put higher security… as in a hydra… good luck getting your precious daughter/fiancé back…

Hades”

“Hades… of course why doesn’t that surprise me!?” said Antonio angrily 

“Cause it's Hades that’s why he’s evil that way…” said Apollo sadly...his daughter had only been with him a few months and he already lost her... some parent...

“So what are we going to do Apollo?” asked Antonio worriedly. All this work to get their blessing and wedding planning might all be for nothing.

“Well, we're going to kick some underworld butt that’s what we’re going to do!” Apollo and Aphrodite tried to put on a "we'll find her" hopeful look on their face for Antonio, but things didn't look good.

“Sounds like a plan to me you want my parents to join the fight?” asked Antonio hopeful. He wanted their help since they would figure out a strategy once they got there. 

“Oh yeah, go to a fight and not bring the gods of fighting?! Of course, they can go they’re already helping with the search party… go to them and tell them we're going to visit Hades…” 

“Yes sir, they didn’t go far I can see them from here.” So Antonio did as he was told and told his parents about the fight with Hades… and of course, they were happy with that. They don’t refuse a good fight once they grabbed their best weapons they headed to the underworld. Course they had to get past the hydra… they tried the head slicing idea at first… that didn’t work very well since if you slice one head off two replace it… not a good idea so they tried another way. Of course, this was way out of Aphrodite’s element so she was waiting back home Olympus waiting impatiently. But meanwhile in the underworld heads were everywhere! On the ground and the hydra itself… parts flying everywhere… blood on the ground and them plus the weapons it wasn’t pretty, but once Antonio sliced it in half, it was finally dead.

“Well, that was fun wasn’t it dad?” panted Antonio once the fighting was done with the hydra it wore him out, and this was only the beginning of the fight!

“Feels like the day I meet your mother, but that’s another story… anyway we got Christine to worry about.” When they found her, he tied her up and hung over the pool of dead souls… not a pretty pool for anyone to go swimming in…

“Ah nice of you to drop by… oh you’re probably looking for Christine… well Antonio why don’t you see her first…” Hades smirked at him, and it made Antonio's skin crawl.

“Let her go now!” asked Antonio angrily almost shouting at Hades.

“Ah, but I can’t do that since she’s hanging out by the pool.”

“The pool, realization, no not the pool of dead people let her go now!!” Antonio got worried since once you go in, you don't come out...

“Exactly my friend… but you can still see her.” They went over by the pool which was near a cliff! “Christine!!!!!!!!” he screams to her out of worry.

“Yes, she’s having a great time hanging by the pool,” smirked Hades. He was having fun torturing the boy with this scheme.

“Ok wise guy I’ve heard you like to make deals take me in Christine’s place.” Hades was flabbergasted and deciding while Antonio was closing the deal. 

“Alright, but it will cost you your powers.” 

“Sigh, fine take it…” Antonio didn't like it but it was the only way to save Christine...

“You’ll feel queasy so why don’t you sit down!” Christine could get the tie around her mouth off by wiggling it around her head enough to make it lose.

“NO ANTONIO!” Shouted Christine worriedly at her lover. She didn't want to lose him as much as he didn't want to lose her.

“I’m sorry Christine… I had to…”

"Well now everyone can have fun… enjoy the ride, Christine!" Of course, Hades being him he dropped her into the pool...

“ANTONIO HELP!!!!!!!” Christine screamed in a moment of panic.

“I’m coming Christine!!!!!!!!!!!!!” But with the pool the more you’re in it the older you get… and with Antonio being a full mortal he could die in there… and Christine is half-mortal, so she has a 50-50 chance she could too… while this is all going on Apollo, Ares and Nemesis were waiting in the lair's lobby not knowing what was going on… Antonio could get Christine out of the pool.

“WHAT YOU GOT OUT ALIVE BUT HOW DID YOU DO THAT!?” Hades looked shocked as he was carrying Christine out of the pool. 

“Because we’re gods Hades… we’re immortal duh!” Then Antonio punches Hades in the face which to him felt good and went back to the lobby of the lair. 

“What happened is she alright?” asked Apollo worriedly about his daughter...he felt like a horrible father knowing he could let something like this happen right under him.

“She’s unconscious since she just got out of the pool of dead people.” Explained Antonio, but he was weak too... 

“That’s impossible nobody could get out of there unless-unless…” Apollo was shocked that he would do this for her... well not too shocked despite that, they haven't been together long.

“Unless they’re a god Apollo, the bet I made was to be full mortal in exchange for her, but Hades being him he dropped her any way I saved her…” 

“Whoa… you would do that for her?” asked Ares surprisingly

“Well, I just did but yes I will do that for her,” explained Antonio...

“We gotta tell Zeus he’d want to hear what you just did…” They got out of there as fast as possible to tell Zeus what happened. When they got there, everyone was there to hear what happen 

“That’s what happened I put Christine in her room to let her sleep,” Antonio explained everything that had happened for the past few hours to Zeus and he listened to every word he had to say. 

“Wow, Antonio you would sacrifice yourself for her?” It surprised Zeus that even though they had not known each other for very long, he would do that for her.

“Yes, I would Zeus…” panted Antonio, still worn out and weak from what had happened

“What you did down there proved to us you are a genuine hero.” Zeus smiles at him with pride.

“Zeus so does that mean I get my powers back and stay here?!” Antonio asks hopefully.

“Yes, Antonio welcome home.” 

“Thank you Zeus, but what about Christine?” He didn't want to leave her behind.

“If anyone can get out of that pool and live to tell the story it’s impressive and since you two are together yes Christine can stay,” Zeus reassured him.

“Thank you Zeus well I’ll see if she’s alright and I’ll tell her the good news.” 

“Actually, why don’t you bring her to me… I’d like a little talk with her.” Zeus says with a serious expression on his face.

“Alone I’ll do what you want, but does she have to be alone?” Antonio asks worriedly.

“No, not alone it’s alright if you keep her company. Now go get her, please.” Zeus nods towards the door where she's waiting.

“Yes, Zeus as you wish.” Antonio nods his head in respect and goes to get her. He was really nervous for her. What would her talk go? Would she get her power too? Would she stay? What would he do if she didn't stay? So many thoughts running through his head. He goes to her room and quietly lays down with her just to calm himself after his exciting talk.
