"Hold on, mom I'm getting ready", I yelled down to her while wondering why I'm still here when I could be in an apartment by now since I'm 17, have a job, and a car. As I head downstairs I check my pocket for the money I need to buy lunch with. by the time I get downstairs my mother has already cooked breakfast, "you know, you should really cut your hair, it's too long now", my mother say to me when she sees that my hair is still long, "and get rid of those highlights", she tells me while looking at my red highlights. I hurry up and eat so I don't have to stay here any longer. When I arrived at school, I stepped out of my 1992 chevy pickup truck and already regretted coming to school. I didn't even get up one step before brad pushed me into a wall and took my bag. "Brad, give it back man', I said out of frustration, wishing I could punch him, but sadly has the principles son, so I'm going to get expelled if I did. "aww, give what back, this ugly bag?, no I don't think so", then he put my bag in the trash and took his friend and left while laughing.as I was getting it out of the trash my best friend came over and slapped me on the back, "what up, bro", he said to me, "what's up Caleb", I said while I dusted of my bag with a little too much aggression, which caused the strap to rip, "aright dude, lets head inside", Caleb said to me, while heading to the door. "you can't hide forever, little boy", said some man in my dream, "I will find you", then he walked into my room, and walked to my bed to look under when suddenly, he turned around and then he opened the closet, pointed his g*n and then he- "Mr. Walker, would you mind answering my question?", Mr... Cooper said to me, "what was the question, Mr. cooper?", I replied, not knowing the question. "How can you tell if a relation is a function or not?", he asked, "for a relation to be a function 1 number can't go to 2 others", after 15 more minutes of excruciating math the bell rang to let all students and faculty members school is out for the day. I was walking out of the school when Jennifer walked up to me, "so have you decided to date me yet?", she asked even though ii told her not a week ago, "yes, I've decided and I'm going to have to say no, I like someone already, so if you would excuse me I'm going to go home now", then I passed her, got in my truck, and went home. When I arrived home I decided to complete my homework, which was for math, my weakest subject. Once I was finished I took off my glasses and my blazer and went for a walk, around the city.as I walked past an alley way I heard a scream and rushed to see what it was about and when I got to the scream it was a girl and her son getting attacked by 2 men who looked like they wanted money, "give us the money pretty girl, and we won't have to traumatize your boy there.", the one on the left said, as he walked to her I ran at him without thinking and punched him in the face as hard as I could, and he was out cold, not a single movement. "Who are you, kid?", the other asked me, to which I did not reply, but instead I kicked him in the face then I punched him in the gut as hard as I could. "are you 2 all right?", I asked the mom and son," yes I think we are ok, but who are you?", and then I ran away with my face covered so that no one could see who I was. As I was walking home, I saw a shiny rock, as I approached it I started to hear a faint hum, when I picked it up I wondered what it was, suddenly I started seeing weird images of a man with white hair and black armor, and a black knife. Then I heard a voice that said, "we have chosen you for the task of being dark shadow.", and then I passed out. When I woke up I was in my bed wondering how I got here, "was that a dream?", I asked my self out loud, when I felt something in my hand and when I looked down I saw the rock from last night. "john, come downstairs!", my mother yelled at me. when I got down stairs my mom looked horrified, "mom, what's wrong?", I asked her. "what happened to your hair?", she asked me. "mom what do you mean, hats wrong with my hair?", I asked her, then she pointed to the mirror and when I saw what happened I relied what she meant and I saw that it was white as snow, "I can't go to school like this we need to do something about this, please help me mom.", I begged my mom. "well, we could just dye your hair black.", she said. "yea I'm sure we can just do that, but we have no money right now and I don't have any extra hair dye so...",I told hair to which she replied, "then you will just have toto go to school like that, and if your teacher says anything just tell him that you dyed it recently.", and with that I packed my bag and went to school. As I was driving to school I saw a girl get pulled into an alley way while screaming for help, so I jumped out of my truck to help her, and I ran into the alley way, but when I reached into my pocket to grab the rock to throw at the first guy, I felt a surge of electricity in my body and when I got in the alley I felt weird, and then I saw a bright light at my hand and then a black knife materialized into my hand, and then black armor was suddenly around my body. "What the hell is going on?", I said to myself as I ran into the alley way. When I got to the guys and the girl, I ran at the closest on and kicked him, "who the hell is this kid, batman?, said one and then they all started laughing, so I slashed the eye of one, then punched him in the face. "Who are you?", said the girl in shock, "to be honest I'm just as surprised as you. "and then I ran to school wondering how to get this armor off when the rock glowed and then the armor suddenly disappeared. when I got to school it was on lock down, and I didn't know why. When I asked someone they said that there was a shooter in the school, when I heard this I ran away, but not out of fear, but so I can change into my armor, and help my school. When I changed into my armor I ran into the school from the back door, and when I got into the school I heard screaming and shouting, so I ran to were it was but then I realized, that they will all know who I am because I don't have a mask, and when I thought of a mask one materialized into my hand, and it looked like a Chinese samari mask, and boy did it look cool, so I hurried up to put it on and ran to where I heard the screaming. When I got to the screaming that was at the cafeteria, I knocked out the first two with the butt of the knife, then punched the last two in the gut, and slashed the last one to immobilize him. Everyone was blindfolded so I took the blind folds off them, "be quiet, I'm here to help you.", I said to them. When they were all safe and cut from their bonds I had them run out the back door, then I ran to the classes. When I got to the classes I hurried up and did the same thing I did in the cafeteria, then I ran to my classroom. When I got there I looked in the window, and saw that there are 6 guys in there, 2 guys covering each door, and 2 trying to keep the kids in line. When the next kid cried for help one guy grabbed Delilah, the girl I've loved since 6th grade, who I also never talked to. When I saw this I burst into the room and threw my knife at one then I thought of a non-lethal g*n and when it appeared I shot three of them, and I fist fought the last two, and helped get Delilah out of their hands, and then I thought of all the weapons disappear and when they did I escorted all of them out the front door, to the cops who helped them get back to their parents, and when I was about to leave Delilah said to me, "thank you, john.", so I got really surprised, but I thought of a motorcycle appearing Infront of me and got on it when it did appear and then I drove off back to my house. When I got back to my house, I made the motorcycle and the armor disappear, and then I went into my house and took a hot shower and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I went to the airport to greet my sister, Jennifer, who was coming back from Korea, after she had been gone for 2 years. when I got there, I waited by the terminal she should be coming from. "hey bro, how you been.", she said when she got to me, "I've been doing good but can I talk to you about something?", I asked her with a little bit of concern in my voice. "yea of course you can tell me anything lets go to the truck.", she said, and we went to the truck. When we were close to our house I turned to her and said, "it would be easier if I show you.", so then I turned into a alley way and got out of the truck. "what, are you going to kill me or something?", she asked me, I pulled out the rock and thought, armor on, and then the armor appeared onto me. "woah, what the hell.", she said. "cool right?", I asked her, "yea its cool as hell, how did you get this?", she said, "I found this rock and when I picked it up I had visions and then I used it twice.", I told her and then I made the armor disappear. after we talked about it some more we got in the truck and went home. The next day after I woke up, I saw that my phone was ringing so I answered it, but I was surprised to hear who was calling me. "hey can I talk to you later at school?", Delilah asked me, "uh, yea sure.?, I told her. When I hung up my mom opened my door and sat on my bed, "I know that the incident at school was scary so I'm not going to make you go to school but I am going to send you to a doctor so that you can talk about it to them, but I want your permission.", she said, "yea ill go to school and the doctor but can you get out so I can get ready for school?", I asked her and then she got up and walked out after telling me she will call them later on today. I got up and went to my closet and grabbed my blazer and pants and got ready to go to. school, then when I was ready I went outside and got in my truck and drove to school. When I got out of the truck at school I had another vision, I saw a man with white hair like mine fighting a entire army by himself and saving a girl when I realized that the man was me and the girl was Delilah, "you are a legend born, just like your father, and this will happen if you keep the stone or not, but the outcome is up to you.", then I passed out. When I woke up, I saw that I was at the nurses office, but I don't remember getting there. "oh, your finally awake.", the nurse said while not looking at me, "how did I get here, and why does my head hurt so much?", I asked her, "Delilah brought you in here saying she saw you faint by your truck.", she told me. after the nurse gave me some pills and made sure I didn't have a concussion she let me go to class. when I got to class, I gave Mrs. Brown my pass and went to sit down In my seat and wait the last 30 minutes until school was out. When the bell rang and I was going out to my truck I saw Delilah waiting by my truck while texting someone, "you know you could've texted me and asked to meet by my truck.", I yelled to her while walking to the truck, "well, I didn't want to wait for you so I came over here, but can I get a ride I lost my keys so I cant drive home?", she asked me and I told her to get in. "so, how did you know that was me in the armor?", I asked her, "I could tell because of your physical appearance.", she said and then she asked me, "how did you even get armor like that?", so I told her. When we got to her house she asked if we could meet up tomorrow and talk some more so I told her yea and the drove off back to my house. When I got home I added her number to my phone and took a shower, had dinner and went to bed. I was sleeping I had dreams that showed to legend born fighting the army, but both were the same as last time except, Delilah was wearing white armor, "this is your current path, you must follow this path to the end.", the voice said. When I woke up I saw that the rock was in 2 pieces, 1 black, 1 white. Later after school I asked Delilah if she wanted to talk about the armor more and when she said yes, I drove her to a small patch of woods that only I know about. "I had a dream that both of us had armor so when I woke up the rock was in 2 pieces so I'm going to give you the other piece, to activate it just think the words armor on.", I told her and gave her the other piece, "are you sure, because how do you know I should have it?", she asked me while taking the rock, "because the same voice who told me how to use the rock told me to give you the other half, so that's what I'm doing.", I told her, then she activated the rock and her armor appeared onto her. After I taught her some tricks with the armor we sparred for a while, and then we went to her house to drop her off when she said, "I think we should establish a hideout, so that we can have somewhere to have these on without being worried someone will see us.", so I told her I will find us somewhere to have a hideout and then I left for home. The next day me and Delilah went out to find a hide out when we saw the perfect place, a rundown store that had a basement so I used all the money I had saved up and I bought the store and me and Delilah spent the next few days getting it ready to be our hideout, and we made the top floor a normal store that we had set to open in the next 3 months. after we had the basement ready we went out for some drinks, when brad pulled up beside us and threw his milkshake onto Delilah's shirt and said, "that color looks good on you, b***h!", and that's when I said screw the rules and I hopped into my truck and chased them across town and into the woods. When they stopped I got out of my truck and walked up to brad and headbutted him then repeatedly punched him I the face and he punched me in the face until Delilah came and stopped me and took me back to the truck and drove us to her house. "come inside, ill have my mom stich you up she's a doctor.", she told me and led my to the back porch, when her mom saw me she nearly turned white with horror, "oh my god what happened to him, did he fight a dog?", she asked us as Delilah told her what happened. When I was all stitched up they had me stay over for dinner and after that I left and went back home and had some well needed sleep. The next few days was the same, me helping Delilah learn how to use her stone and armor, even though I'm a beginner to, but is all working out for now. After we had been training for a month with off and on sparring, we decided to go on our first team mission, all we had to do was prevent 4 crimes. "okay so I'm going to have you make a car or bike, whichever one you want, I'm going to make a bike, its always the same though, just think of what you want and it will appear.", then I thought for the bike to appear and when it did I hopped on and told her ill see her outside, then I drove through the tunnel that we made and got out at the woods, then I waited for Delilah. When she came out she had a white mustang, and told her that I will lead and she follow and then we left to go to the city to start the mission. While we drove through the city we saw 5 guys breaking robbing a grocery store (which is really stupid if you ask me), and so we made our armor double jump compatible, and we jumped up onto the roof and slammed down through the sky glass, and I had her take out 3 guys and I took out the last to when suddenly, we realized it was a trap and 10 more guys came in through the back door, "give us the armor or we will shoot.", The guy Infront said, but his confidence didn't last long because we both took them out in 5 minutes and went on to finish the mission. The next day, I told her to meet me at the hide out so we can talk, and when she asked why I told her that ill tell her there, and she said okay and that she's on her way. As I drove to the base, I stopped at the gas station so I could get me and her some sour patch kids because that's what me and her like to snack on when we are not training. When I got there I saw that she was already there so I went inside and she followed me inside. Even though that most people might think that this will be too soon, I'm going to ask her out today, but I might not get what I want but it will help make me feel better. "so why did you call me here, are you going to kick me out or something?", she asked me, "no its nothing like that, I just wanted to ask you something.", I told her. "do you maybe want to go and get some food together?", I asked her, because I'm to scared to aske her out. "yea, sure.", she said and we went and got some food. Two days later, as I was listening to music, a girl came up to me that I didn't know, and asked me for my number, when I said no, she turned around and stormed off in anger. When I got home still wondering why she did that my mom was arguing with my sister for some reason but I went up to my room, so I wouldn't hear it all. Later, when I came out of the room to eat dinner, my sister asked me if I wanted to go skating with her, when I asked her why she said I didn't have to but I went anyways. when we go to the skating rink, we got our skates and put them on to go onto the rink, but she wanted to do a skating obstacle course, so I said sure. After she beat me 15 to 5, we got on the normal skating rink. Later after we got done with the skating, my sister asked me to drop her off at the bar, so I decided to drop her off before I went home. When I got home, I took a shower and called my friends like I always do, but this time Delilah called me first and she sounded like she was in trouble, "john please help me, brad keeps knocking on my door even though I told him to go away, can you come over here and tell him to leave?", she asked me and I told her I'm on my way, and with that I hopped in my truck, and drove to Delilah's house. When my mom asked me where I was going, I told her to a friends house to help with homework. When I got to Delilah's house, I saw brads truck there, parked in the street next to her car. When I pulled up into the driveway, I put the rock inside of the satchel necklace I made, and got out the truck. I walked over to the porch and said to brad, "I think you should leave because I was told by Delilah, that she does not want you want you here." And me and brad ended up arguing while he kept knocking on her door so I told him to leave or I'm calling the cops and then he left. When he left, I told Delilah that it was just me at the door and for her to open it, and she said there's a key under the fake rock, so I grabbed the key and went inside. When I got in she was sitting on the stairs, shaking and she said that this was the worst time for her mom to not be home. I took her to her room and had her lay down on the bed and I sat by the bed until she was done shaking. When I went to get up and leave she stopped me and said, "will you please lay with me, I'm still scared please stay here with me?", "okay, ill lay with you till you fall asleep, and ill leave aft-", I was saying but she cut me off and said, "no I want you to stay with me till morning.", so I told her I will and climbed into the bed and she rested her head onto my chest, her head rising with my breaths. "I love you, Delilah, and I wish that you felt the same way.", I said when she was asleep. After an hour I started to drift to sleep, and all I could think about was her. When I woke up, I saw that she wasn't in the bed anymore, when I heard noises in the kitchen. I got up and went downstairs and saw Delilah, cooking breakfast. "hey umm, when are your parents going to be home, and are you ok?", I asked her and she jumped up in fear, "sorry", I told her. "my parents wont be back until next month, so I have the house to my self and I'm fine now.", she said after realizing it was only me, and she set some eggs on the table and told me to eat or we will be late for school, and so I ate and then told her I got to go home to get my jacket for school and she told me to go ahead and that she will meet me at school. When I got home my mom was still asleep so I got my jacket and left. After school Delilah asked me if I would stay with her until her parents got back, and I told I will just got to get a few things, then I went home and got some clothes and my laptop. "where are you going with all that stuff?", my mom asked me, "I'm going to go stay at a friends house for a month." I told her and left. When I got to Delilah's house, she told my to share her room because no one is allowed in the other rooms, and she got me out a air mattress, and I got set up to stay in her house for the next month. After a week, me and Delilah got used to living together and today we were cleaning the house when I worked up the courage and said, "I love you Delilah, and I hope you feel the same way, and if not I'm fine with that, I just had to tell you.", and then I hung my head down in embarrassment. After 2 minutes of silence, she turned off the vacuum and grabbed my hands and sat down with me, and said, "I love you to and I was scared you wouldn't love me, so I didn't say anything and I was surprised when you told me you loved me.", and when I asked her if she would date me, she said yes. After another 2 hours of us cleaning we went to the store to get more food for the house, and then we went to the park to eat some ice-cream. later when we went home, we did our usual routine and then we went to bed like always. After the month had passed, I was leaving when she came over and kissed me and told me to drive safe, so I got in the truck happy as I can be. Later I called her and asked her if she wanted to go to a park or movies, she told me movies and then told me to pick her up at 6, and I told her ill be there. While I was getting ready my sister came into my room, "what are you doing, going on a date?", she asked me, "actually yes, and I will be home at 10.", then I left the house and drove to pick Delilah up. When we got to the movies, we decided on avatar and then we got our tickets, and went into the theater. After the movie on my way to drive Delilah home, I stopped and got us some drinks. When I did get her home she took me inside saying that her parents wont care. When I got in her room, we sat on the bed and talked about what we thought of the movie, when she said, "I want you to meet my parents next week.", and I told her lets do it, so we made day to do that and then I left and went home. The next day, me and Delilah was having our second date when we heard screaming from the distance. We suited up and got our rides out and rode out to where the screaming was coming from. When we got there we saw someone wearing armor like ours but we thought it was fake until he pulled a sword out of the air. After he got the sword, he went to go s***h at the girl, but I ran and blocked his sword with a shield and summoned a sword into my other hand and swung it at him. He blocked it with his armor and then we were cutting and slashing at each other for 30 minutes until, Delilah pulled a non-lethal sniper rifle out and shot him in the back. When the cops got there we were already gone, wondering how that guy got a stone. When I was alone, I summoned a device that will let me talk to the man from my dreams. When I turned on the device, I saw my room change into a cave with two thrones on the wall. "you are wondering how someone else also has a legend stone, yes?", the man from my dreams asked me, "yes I am.", I told him. When I got out of the dream state I was horrified by what I was told. There were thousands more, and the only thing that was good that he said was that we will get a new member. when I told Delilah this she was happy that we won't be the only 2 working as a team and she suggested we modify the base soon so that they'll feel welcome like she did.
