Chapter 11

*** Joan P.O.V***

I had a hard time sleeping last night thinking of all the things that could go wrong today, but I'm doing this for my baby and Artimis. If it wasn’t for them, I would never have done that. I'm hoping she makes us mates, because if not, I will take Sam as my chosen mate and we will reject the others. Please, Artimis, make Sam my mate. I don’t want to have to go through the heart break of rejecting someone I don’t know.

“Baby are you okay?”

“I'm just thinking and hoping all of this goes well. If you were not mates, are you going to choose me as your second chance or are you going to choose you as my chosen mate Artimis gives you?”

“Babe, you already know it’s you and no one else. If she does not make us mates, I will reject them. I don’t care who you are mine.”

“I just can't handle all this stress. We just moved into a werewolf pack. We have to answer to the alpha and Luna. It’s just different from where I came from. I know this is what Artimis wanted, but it's just hard. I know she was a good friend but this is a lot to ask for. The Luna and alpha are great, but still I can't live my life the way I want it.”

“Baby, I know how you feel but this is the only way we can stay with Summer. She is a hybrid but needs this. She is part of the pack whether we like it or not, and so are we. They treat us better than anyone ever has. We haven't been ashamed because we are humans. They are good people here and I think that is why she sent us here. Come on, let's get ready for our day.” with that he kissed my forehead. We got up and started heading to the pack house. When we get there, we see that summer is already there waiting for us and the alpha and Luna. We go and sit

“Good morning, everyone.” we say and bow at the alpha and Luna.

“Good morning,” they all said.

“How did you sleep? Are you ready for today?” summer asks.

“We are good and no not really, we are both really stressed,” I said.

“Yes, I'm with your mom on this one. I'm sorry.” Sam said.

“Everything is going to be okay. Don’t worry yourself too much about it. We have a really good doctor and nursing team here. We will do everything in our power to help,” Luna says.

“You are not the first human we have changed. Most have their mates do it but you are both human. When you guys finish breakfast, we will all go down there and the doctor will tell you what we are going to do", alpha says.

“Thank you both for trying to make this easy,” I said. Breakfast came out and today they gave us 2 Belgium waffles with mixed berries on top, 3 over easy eggs and 4 sausages links. We start eating and just try not to think about how everything is going to go. And finish what we can and everyone else is done as well and we start heading to the pack hospital. We walked in and there was a nurse there.

“We are here for 2 appointments for Joan and Samuael Madmarsho,” I told her.

“Oh yes. The alpha set this up for you guys. Please come in, we are going to put you in the alpha ward.” she says as we follow her. We walked in and it was a big hospital room with 2 eds right next to each other and 3 chairs with a lot of different machines. We go into the room to hug and kiss each other.

“Please change into these and the doctor will be right in.” the nurse said. She, summer, and josh leave the room for us to get changed. Once we get changed, we get into beds and hold hands while we wait. Summer and josh come back in.

“How are you feeling?” summer asks.

“Nervous and scared, I didn’t know what was going to happen.” I saw

“I'm the same as your mother,” Sam said. Summer walks up to both of us and gives each of us a hug and kiss and walks back to the corner of the room where josh is and sits down.

“Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Madmarsho. My name is Dr.Jenffer Andrews. We are going to be changing you today. This is going to hurt, so we are going to be putting you both on a morphine drop so it doesn’t hurt as much. These are going to be the symptoms. You will have fever, chills, pain where the bite will be, migraine, fatigue, seizures, and you might pass out. We will be monitoring you during this whole process and, once done, you will have a wolf and will be able to shift. But we will keep you in the hospital for a few days just to make sure everything is going well.” Dr. Andrews says.

“Thank you. This doesn’t make me feel any better,” I said.

“Baby, we will be fine. Just please try and relax and calm down.” Sam said as he squeezed my hand a little tighter and rubbed his thumb on my hand.

“Mom, dad, I will be right here. I'm not going anywhere. I love you both. You will do fine, I promise,” Summer says.

“Trust me, you are in the best hands in the state. She has been our doctor for over 30 years.” josh chimes in.

“Who is going to bite us and where?” I asked.

“I can do that after we get you all set up and I will bite your wrist because it would be weird if I did the neck.” Dr. Andrews says. 2 nurses come in and start hooking up the Ivs and heart monitors and putting the blood pressure cups on us.

“Okay, everything looks good. Who wants to go first?” dr. Andrews asks.

“Wait before you start, I want to hug and kiss them first,” summer says. She walks up to us and hugs us both and kisses us.

“ Don't die on me, you too. I love you! I would be heart broken,” summer says.

“ Don't worry, sugar plum, we will be fine. We have you and the moon goddess on our side,” Sam says.

“Yes, we will be fine. Your dad’s right. I will go first. I said.

“Okay, the bite is going to hurt. I’m going to inject you with my venom. Dr. Andrews says as she walks up to me. She grabs my wrist and her fangs elongate and she bits my wrist. I started to scream. The pain is so bad. I can feel the venom going through my veins. She lets go and starts to lick it and my wound heals. She goes over to Sam and does the same thing and he screams as well.

“Okay, I'm going to start the IV and start pumping a little bit of morphine in there for both if you and I put a bag of saline solution,” dr. Andrews says and starts the iv. Summer moves her chair and sits in between us and holds our hands.

“I'm going to be checking on things in the other rooms. If you need anything please push the call button and someone will be with you.” dr.andrews says and leaves the room.

“How are you feeling guys?” summer asks.

“The bite hurt. But right now, I'm fine. I don’t feel anything,” I said.

“Yes, sugar plum. I'm fine. The bite hurt and it hurt when the venom was going through my veins, but now, I feel fine.” Sam says.

30 minutes later, I started to get a fever and I felt like I was going to puke. I pushed the nurse button.

“Yes, Mr. and Mrs. Madmarsho, what could I help you with?” the nurse asked.

“I feel like I have a fever and I'm going to puke.” I said.

“I will go get some anti-nausea medication for you both,” the nurse said and walked out of the room. She walks back in and puts it in my IV and gives me a little puke bag.

“How are you feeling, Mr.Madmarsho? Do you need anything?” she says.

“No, right now, I just have a fever but I don’t feel like I'm going to puke.” Sam says.

“Okay when or if you do, please buzz us and we will give you some medication as well,” she says and walks out of the room.

1 hour later, I started to start to have a seizure and everything went black and I passed out and went into the darkness.

I wake up in a forest and I see Artimis.

“Thank you, Joan, for watching over my child and helping her become the woman she is today and thank you for making the big choice to become a werewolf. Things are going to change for you. I will grant you powers because you have helped me through the years. You will have the power of premonitions. It will help you know when bad things are going to happen. They will come to you and you will watch the outcome,” Artimis said.

“What do you mean? Why are you gifting me? I just did what you wanted as a good friend who wouldn’t help?” I asked.

“You didn’t have to help me. You did it out of the bottom of your heart. Joan, you are a good person and because of that I will grant you that gift. You knew that summerstar was going to be a demi God and yet you didn’t give her up and you raised her like your own. I will grant you another gift, but that one you will find out when it happens. Please use the gifts and tell the alpha about what you see you can save people. Things are going to get tough. So please help the people you care about.”

“ What's the other gift? I don’t understand that I will find out as time goes on,” I said.

“No, I cannot and will not tell you will find out with later in time. Now I need you to get back to your own time and world and you will meet your wolf. Thank you for all that you have done. I might see you later. I don’t know yet. You are now one of my children,” Artimis said, and started to walk away.

I started to go too, but my eyelids felt like they were heavy and I could hear sounds that sounded really far away, but they started to sound closer and closer.

“ I think she is coming too. Joan, can you hear me? Please open your eyes.” I hear a voice but I don’t know who it is. I cannot put a face to it. I started to try and open my eyes again and this time they opened and I could hear this annoying beeping sound.

“Oh, thank the goddess mom you're okay!” summer said as she was sniffling. I reached my hand up to her face and started to cress her face.

“Baby I'm okay. I told you I would be fine. I'm right here.” I said, but it felt like my mouth was the desert and it came out like a croak.

“Here mom, please don’t talk yet. You almost died. Your heart stopped and they had to resuscitate you.” summer says as she hands me water. I drank all of the cup and I looked over at Sam and he was still dead asleep.

“How is Sam doing?” I asked.

“He is doing fine. He just passed out after having a mild seizure as well.” Dr.Andrews says. As she says that, I started to get a really bad migraine. It feels like something is trying to reach me.

“I have a really bad headache and feels like something is trying to get through to me.” I say

“That might be your wolf. Don’t try and fight her, concentrate on her and let her in.” Dr. Andrew says. I opened my mind so I could try and let her in.

“I have been waiting for you to let me in! Thank you!”

“Who are you?”

“I'm your wolf, silly! My name is Yasmin.”

“Hi Yasmin.”

“ It took you long enough to come and get me. I have been waiting to be with you.”

“You have been waiting?”

“Yes, Artimis said I would be going to you when you were ready and I have been waiting so long I wanted to be with you and my mate!”

“Who is our mate?”

“He isn't here yet. We have to wait for him to wake up.”

“So, my mate is Sam?”

“I don’t know, I just know he is asleep and has not woken up yet with your mate.”

“Thank you, Yasmin.”

“From me looking through your memory, you are a good woman and your daughter loves you.”

“Thank you”, with that I cut her off and put her in the back of my mind.

“How long was I out for?”

“3 days. I haven't left your guy's side,” Summer says.

“I was out that long?”

"Yes, and how is your wolf?”

“It feels weird having someone always in my mind talking to me.”

“I don’t know yet. I haven't gotten mine yet.”

“How are you feeling?” Dr. Andrew asks.

“I feel okay. I'm tired.”

“Just rest.”

*** Sam P.O.V***

I kept hold of the summerstars' hand but I was starting to feel hot and cold.

“I think I have a fever and chills but I don’t feel too bad yet. Unlike your mom.”

1 hour and 30 minutes later, I started to have a seizure and darkness came. I'm at least not in any pain right now. I do not have it as bad as Joan.

I wake up in a forest and I see Artimis.

“ Hello my child. Thank you for taking care of my little girl. You and Joan have done a good job.”

“Thank you Artimis. Why am I here? Where is there?”

“I have come to speak with you before I give you your wolf and send you back to the normal world. This is the moon goddess realm. I was going to grant you 2 gifts. 1 I will tell you and the other you will find out later. Because you and Joan did not ask questions or do anything bad to my child, I will give you a gift for saying thanks.”

“Okay, what are my gifts?”

“You only get to know about one while here and you will find out the second later. I'm going to give you one. You can bring them as well, but you cannot change the past. People will see you, so when you go you need to hide.”

“Thank you, anything else?”

“No, my child, I need you to get back to your family and keep them safe from what will happen.”

With that, I started to wake up. My eyelids are heavy and I can hear the beeping of a machine. It's annoying. I don’t know what or where it is coming from but I want to break it. I can hear murmurs but cannot make out what they are saying.

“Sam?”

“Dad?” I slowly started to open my eyes and I saw Joan and Summerstar. I started to smell this scent of roses and wet bark. It's the nicest scent I have ever smelled. But I have this really bad headache and feels like something is clawing at my mind.

“ Mr. Madmarsho, I need you to try and connect with your wolf. The headache will stop. Take deep breaths in and out and concentrate on your mind and wolf.” dr. Andrews said. I take deep breaths in and out and I can feel something else in my mind.

“Thank the goddess! You finally came for me! My name is Bandit and I'm your wolf. I want to meet and see my mate! I can smell her!”

“Who is our mate?”

“The woman in the other bed, I want to mark and mate her.”

“We have to wait. I know how you feel I want it to.”

“Thank you for finally choosing to turn. I have been waiting for you and my mate. “With that he went back to my mind.

“Dad?”

“Well, he is one dirty wolf.”

“eww dad I didn’t want to know that!”

“ Thanks to the moon goddess, we are mates.”

“I know Yasmin won't stop talking about you and wants to do the same thing as your wolf,” Joan says.

“Yasmin and Joan MATE!”
