Chapter 9

*** Josh P.O.V***

After breakfast, I took Star around the pack house to show her everything and she got to meet my beta, gamma, and delta. Then I showed her around the grounds and we ended up at her house. We walked inside and I saw her dad out in the living room.

“Hi sugar plum.” Sam said.

“Hi dad.” she said.

“Hello alpha josh.” Sam said.

“Hello Sam,” I said.

“Well, I will leave you two alone. I will be in my room upstairs unpacking.” Sam said.

“What do you want to do?” she asked.

“I was just thinking about talking,” I said.

“What do you want to talk about?”

“I just want to get to know you a little better and you to know me.”

“What like 20 questions?”

“Okay sounds good”

“ What's your favorite thing to do?”

“I like running in wolf form and training you?”

“I like sleeping and art class and cooking. What does it feel like to change into your wolf?”

“The first time it hurts, but after that it feels natural. You feel your bones moving and switching to being a wolf. I don’t like the feeling but it has to happen. Do you remember anything about your real parents?”

“I'm sorry I do not. I just know that my father was a warlock and my mom was the one who changed him into a wolf, so I'm not just a normal werewolf, I'm a hybrid. I know that my father was the king of the underworld and my mother is the moon goddess.”

“Wait what? Moon goddess and king of the underworld? Your joking, right?” This I have to tell my father so he can speak with the elder.

“No and I shouldn’t have said anything. My mom told me not to say anything. People just want me for my blood because I have queen and king blood.”

“Wait, you have talked to your real mom?” I thought she was dead. How could she talk with her mom?

“No, I was joking. Hahaha. I just wanted to see what you would say.” She is not good at lying. It's okay. I will just tell her I know she’s lying.

“You're lying, I can tell. I'm someone you can trust.”

“Fine, I was lying but I need to stay safe. My mom said people are going to try and use me and get close to me for who I really am and for my blood. My mom can't tell me much but she says the only person I can trust is Joan, Sam and my mate.”

“The thing is, I'm your mate. You even said you could feel it. I would never do anything to hurt you or let anyone hurt you.”

“Fine, yes, I talk with my real mom and yes, she is the moon goddess, but I cannot talk or see my dad. When he died, he was sent back to the underworld. My mom was sent back to the moon realm.” This is very good information, so she does know about her mom and dad. But I know why they all try and keep her a secret. This is going to be good and a bad thing at the same time. Let's hope no one tells anyone outside of the pack.

“That would make you a demi god if your mom and dad were gods.” she is going to be one powerful werewolf and even if I didn’t know about all this stuff, I would still want to be with her. I don’t care about rank or anything.

“Umm.... I think I need some time to myself. There is too much going on right now. I want to be alone please?”

“Are you sure? I don’t want to leave you. You need someone.” I don’t want to leave her. It's not a good idea. She is under a lot of pressure and we keep on putting more on her by telling her things that we found out.

“I'm going to go talk with my mom and dad. I don’t want to be with anyone right now. I have a lot going thru my head.”

“Okay, I will let you be for right now. I'm sorry I will leave. I will see you at lunch.” as I said that, I started to head to the door. She ran up to him and gave him a big hug. I hug her back

“I'm sorry. There's just a lot going on right now. I thought I was a normal high school student but my world has been turned upside down and there’s a lot to think about. I will be there for lunch, but right now I need some time and space. I'm sorry I didn’t mean to hurt you Fellings.” as I said that, I hugged her back and I kissed her on the fore head and left. I went back home to my dad’s office so I could talk with him. I told him everything Star just told me and he leaves for the elder's house and I go with him. My dad knocks on the elder's door and Edith answers.

“What can I help you with today, alpha?”

“I have some more information about Summerstar you may want to know.”

“Did she shift yet?”

“No, she hasn’t shifted yet. I will let josh tell you since he was there.”

“Come on, I don’t want to talk about this out here.” we walked inside and went to sit at the kitchen table.

“We were playing a game of 20 questions and she told me that her mom is the moon goddess and her father is the king of the underworld. And that she talks to her mom in her dreams. She said she cannot see or talk with her dad unless she is going to die because he was sent back there.”

“So, I was right. Hades is the king of the underworld and I didn’t think her mom was the moon goddess. She is going to be a demi God. She will have powers from her mother. I need to do more research, but if she is what I think she is, we have to keep it quiet. I think she is a Gemini twin but she is both entities. It’s when a good soul like Artimis meets a bad soul like Hades. If they were to have a child, it would be a demi god, but she is a curse from the other gods. Artimis and hades were never made to be. She is going to be good and bad. But people are going to want her for who she is.”

“What do you mean she is going to be good and bad?” I asked.

“ That's going to have to wait. I need to make sure I'm correct, but no one can know this. This stays between us.”

“I have a question for you. Summerstar thinks she has 2 mates. One is me, who I know she is, and the other is a vampire.”

“I have never heard of 2 mates. Second chance mates, yes, but those are rare and normally from the first mate rejecting them, but you never know since she is the moon goddess's child. Time will tell.”

“What do you mean time will tell? She is my MATE. She is going to have to choose.”

“Josh, calm down. That is not how you talk to an elder. We will talk over this at home. Thank you elder Edith and please excuse us. I'm sorry for my son’s outburst.” I stormed out of there. I'm pist! She cannot have both of us. It's either me or him and if she chooses him, she is out of the pack, but I will kill him so she doesn’t have a choice.

“Where do you think you're going? You're coming with me into my office with your mom and my beta and gamma.” as I start to walk faster, my dad grabs me by my arm and forces me to go up to his office and he calls his beta, gamma and my mom to the office. I didn’t want to fight with my dad so I just let him drag me to his office. He closed the door when we got there and his beta got Michael, Tyler and my mom, were already there waiting.

“Sit down josh Bardalph” my dad says in his alpha tone while he goes to sit and puts my mom on his lap and starts to inhale her sent to calm him down. I knew when my father used his alpha tone and my full name, I was in trouble.

“What has gotten into you, son? This is not how an alpha acts. You cannot talk down to an elder,” my dad says a little calmer.

“You did what? What were you thinking? I can't believe you josh Bardolph” my mom almost screamed.

“I'm sorry, but I cannot have my mate have another mate. I will kill him if it’s true I need a Luna when I become alpha. If she chooses him, I don’t know what I will do.” I said while looking at the floor.

“What do you mean 2 mates?” my mom asks.

“We went to talk with the elder today about Summerstar. Baby we found out that we have a demi God. She is the daughter of the moon goddess Artimis and the king of the underworld hades. Beta Michael and Gamma Tyler. This does not leave the room understood?” my dad says

“Yes alpha” they say in unison.

“Sweet cheeks, what do you mean she is a demi God? How can this be? I don’t understand how the moon goddess had a kid. If she isn’t here, what about the father? Where is he?”

“Just as it seems. Her mother was the moon goddess while down here on earth and had a child with Hades when he was down on earth, and the elder elder said that their child is a curse because she is good and evil, since her mother is light and her father is dark. She thinks she is a Gemini wolf. She won't know until she shifts and starts coming into all her gifts. The father died with her mother when they were attacked by the rouges.”

“Son, you know we believe in the mate bond and if she has 2 mates, please just let it happen. I don’t think it is right for you to choose her. I know it's hard to share but you might have to do that,” mom said.

“Your mother is right. It would be like me saying you cannot have your mate because I don’t want you with her. You cannot make that choice for her. If she wants both, then let it. Plus, it will help with the Browns,” dad said.

“I cannot and will not let my mate be with that filthy vampire! It's gross! He could be over a thousand years old!!!” I yelled at my parents.

“YOU WILL NOT SPEAK TO ME THAT WAY!” dad roars and shakes the office.

“You will let her choose if she wants both of you. You or him. Just like I said before, it will help with a better alliance with them. They have more vampire friends and if we need their help it would work in our favor. Just like with us. She can give you both a child.” dad said a little calmer.

“ I don’t want that. I don’t care! She is my mate! That would be like me saying share mom with a demon! It just does work.” I replied.

“If it was her other mate, I would allow it. Even if it meant I had to share, yes it would be hard, but I would do it for your mother because I love her.” dad said.

“Fine, but I will not like it. But I will try for her. Is there anything else? I want to go eat lunch. I'm starving” or at least that will be what my dad thinks.

“No, I guess you have been dismissed.” my dad said as he said that I left for the dining room.
