Chapter 8

****Summerstar’s P.O.V****

I wake up back in the moon goddess realm and I walk up to the cottage where I know my mom will be. I just open the door and walk in and go sit at the table. My mom is back at that weird puddle looking into it. She sees I’m here and walks to the table and sits across from me.

“What do you need?”

“I moved into the blue moon pack like you wanted and said in the note.”

“Oh good. Your birthday is next week.”

“What else can you tell me about you, dad, and myself?”

“I can't say much. Please make sure you try and work with the pack and do what they want and speak. You are going to be trained differently from the normal pack. You will have to go on pack runs. Train with your wolf. Since I’m the moon goddess and was born with alpha blood and your dad is the king of the underworld, things are going to be different for you. You are going to be big and strong like an alpha, but you are going to have magical powers like your father.”

“What kind of powers am I going to get?”

“That I cannot say. But you will find out over time. I can't tell you because I don’t know for sure either. I cannot really see your future. I’m not allowed. If I look into it. It just won't let me.”

“Fine I get it. You can't tell me anything or look into what will happen to me, because you could tell me and it or change things in my life.”

“Yes, my child. I’m sorry, I wish I could, but I can't. I can watch you and know what you are doing, but that’s about it.”

“Thank you. I love you. I need to get up and start my day.”

“Have a good day and I will keep an eye on you. I love you Summerstar. Be safe.”

I started to wake up. I get out of bed and brush my hair and change into a black shirt with a skull and cross bone on it and my combat boots with skull and cross bones on them. I walked out of my house and started heading to the pack house to eat breakfast. When I get there, I just walk in and head to the dining hall. I walked up to the alpha’s table and sat next to my mom and dad, and Josh sat across from me.

“Good morning mom, dad, and josh.” I spoke.

“Good morning sugar plum” dad said.

“Good morning honey.” Mom said.

“Good morning summer. Do you want me to show you around the pack? And meet some people?” josh said.

“Yes, that sounds good thank you josh. Who are the people you want me to meet?” I asked.

“I just want you to meet some pack members and take you around the pack house as well, since you will be moving in soon.”

“Okay sounds good. Let me eat. Then we can. I haven't eaten since dinner last night.” I sat down and one of the omega’s brought me food and they seemed to give everyone a lot of food. I can never finish what they give us. They gave us a big helping of scrambled eggs, 2 sausage link, 4 bacon strips, 4 blue berry and strawberry pancakes, and 3 pieces of toast. I look at all this food and I know I can't eat it all. I eat as much as I can.

“Okay josh I’m ready. Good bye mom and dad.” I go and hug and kiss them on the cheek and leave with josh.

While we were walking, he grabbed my hand and we started going up the spiral stair case and we ended up on the 3rd floor. The halls are long and have about 8 rooms up here.

“This is the 3rd floor where all the alphas and their family live and this is my room, soon to be our room.” He opens the door and I walk inside and I see a king-sized bed. The sheets are gold and the comforter is green, and the walls are light blue, there is a small table and chair there and the drapes are gold. The window looks to be a sliding glass door. There are 2 other doors. I am going to guess one is a walk-in closet and the other a bathroom.

“I’m not ready to move in here. I want to stay with my parents.”

“I’m not saying right now, but soon.”

“Okay soon.” He then grabs my hand again and walks me to the second floor.

“ The second floor is for the beta, gamma, and delta.” Once again, there are about 8 rooms down this long hallway. He knocks on the front door. It opens up and there is Daniel.

“Good morning alpha and Luna.” Daniel said.

“So, this is my beta. He is second in command. He takes care of problems that are not big too to bring to me and if I can't be here, he is the one to take control.” Josh said.

“Good to see you again Daniel.” I spoke. Then josh grabs my hand and goes down to the next room. He knocks again and this time mark opens the door.

“Good morning alpha and Luna.” Mark said.

“This is my gamma. He is third in command. He does most of the training,” Josh said.

“Good to see you again, mark.” I spoke. Then we moved to the next door and josh knocks on the door. The door opens and I see this tall, really built guy with really big muscles.

“Hello alpha and Luna.” Erik said.

“ Summerstar, this is the delta and his name is Erik,” Josh said.

“Nice to finally meet you, Luna!” Erik said.

“Hello Gamma Erik.” I spoke.

“The Luna is meeting the higher-ranked wolfs today. She has met most of them but I wanted you to meet her as well. We are going to take a tour of the rest of the pack house then go around the pack and show her around the pack.” josh said.

“Welcome to the pack. I hope you like it here and have fun meeting everyone and seeing everything.” Erik said.

“Thank you, Erik,” I said, and with that we started walking again. We went back down to the first floor. We went the opposite way of the dining room. He went to the front door and opened it up.

“This is the recreation room,” Josh said. When I went inside, I saw there was a big TV and connected to that TV were all the video game consoles you could think of. There was a pool table on the other side of the room and there was a door that went outside. I walked to it and saw that it was a heated indoor pool and hot tub. He holds my hand and walks me down the hall to the next door and opens it.

“This is the TV and movie room, “Josh said. In the corner was a small concession stand with someone making popcorn. There was a soda machine and candy. Then in front was a big movie screen and they had couches lined up so you could relax and watch a movie or TV. This place is awesome!

“This place is so cool! You have an indoor pool and hot tub, all the video games you can think of, and a home movie theater!” I said excitedly.

“This is for the whole pack when they have down time and are not working or going to school or doing pack duties,” Josh said.

“ That's awesome! I'm happy I moved here.” I spoke. Then he took my hand and took me to next door.

“This is my dad's office, soon to be mine,” Josh said. Then they moved to next door.

“This is the Luna's office. Soon to be yours. You will have your own duties to do. My mom will help. When the beta and gamma get their mates, they will help you as well.” Josh said.

“I don’t know If I can do this. It sounds like too much to do.” I spoke

“ Don't worry, you will do fine. Your parents were alpha and Luna and the moon goddess, mated you to me so she knew what she was doing.” josh said. He took my hand again and we walked out into the backyard. I see there is a huge beautiful garden.

“This is my mom’s favorite thing to do when she has a down time. She loves her garden.” josh said. We keep on walking and in the garden, there is a picnic table and flowers that go all around it.

“I love this place, it’s so nice,” I said.

“Yes, my mom likes a little girl's touch on everything. She feels it’s too manly here,” Josh said. We kept on walking and we came to the forest.

“Do you want to see me in my wolf form?” Josh asks.

“I would love to see how it looks. I want to see how it will look when I transform.” I spoke.

“I can't show you that part, I need to get naked so I don’t ruin my clothes.” Josh said.

“Oh, I didn’t know that I just thought your clothes would magically disappear when you shift and come back on when you shift back” I said.

“Haha, I wish it was like that, but sadly it is not,” Josh said. As he started to head behind a tree. I can hear bones cracking. Then pops out a big black wolf. I'm not afraid, I can tell its josh.

“You look so pretty. Can I touch you?” I spoke. He comes over and his wolf's head comes to mine. He moves his head to mine and gently nuzzles me to tell me I can touch him. I put my hand out and he moves his head to my hand and rubs it and I can hear what sounds like a purring coming from him. He is really soft and has a lot of hair. He moves his head and motions with his head for me to get on his back. I hopped on and put my hands around his neck.

He started walking with me on his back. He isn’t going fast but I can tell he wants to go, so I hold on tighter and with that he knows I’m holding on and starts to run. We jumped to a clearing and I jumped off his back. I see there is what looks like a ring. He disappears for a second and comes back in his human form with shorts back on and now I can see he is well built and has a 6 pack and big arms.

“This is the training and fighting grounds. We have a gym in the pack house for when we are trying to get stronger, but this is where we fight. When I take the alpha position from my dad, I will have to beat him in a fight.” Josh said.

“Why do you have to fight him for the alpha position? Please don’t tell me it’s to death?” I said.

“ It’s just a tradition that goes back to when we first came to be and no, it’s not to death just until someone gives up. We do have people come and challenge the alpha for their positions. But if they lose, they are just forbidden to do it again, and if they don’t want to be with the pack anymore, then they can leave, but once they leave the pack and tell us they are no longer pack of the pack, then they become rogues. They can find a new pack or just be rogues.” Josh said.

“Oh, thank the goddess, I didn’t want anyone to die. What do you mean rogues?” I asked.

“They are werewolves that don’t belong to a pack. Not all are bad, but some just go on attacking rampages because they let their wolves take over. Some are heartbroken because they lost their mates, some just don’t like the pack life and don’t want to be ruled by a person, and some are just crazy.” Josh explained. He takes my hand again and we start walking again and from where that is I can see the whole pack.

“I never really tried to see how big this place really was.” I spoke

“Yes, our territory is very big. We have a lot of wolves. We have over 500 here,” Josh said.

“Wait what!?!” I spoke.

“Yes, we are a pretty big pack,” Josh said. We kept on walking and we made it to my house.

“This would be me.” I spoke. And he lets go of my hand and hugs me.

“Can I come in? I don’t want to leave yet,” Josh said.

“The house isn't put together all the way. We don’t have much,” I said.

“ That's fine, I don’t mind,” Josh said. I opened the front door. We go into the living room and sit on the couch.

“Hi sugar plum.” dad said.

“Hi dad.” I spoke.

“Hello alpha josh.” dad said.

“Hello Sam,” Josh said.

“Well, I will leave you two alone. I will be in my room upstairs unpacking.” dad said.

“What do you want to do?” I asked.

“I was just thinking about talking,” Josh said.

“What do you want to talk about?”

“I just want to get to know you a little better and you to know me.”

“What like 20 questions?”

“Okay sounds good”

“ What's your favorite thing to do?”

“I like running in wolf form and training you?”

“I like sleeping and art class and cooking. What does it feel like to change into your wolf?”

“The first time it hurts, but after that it feels natural. You feel your bones moving and switching to being a wolf. I don’t like the feeling but it has to happen. Do you remember anything about your real parents?”

“I'm sorry I do not. I just know that my father was a warlock and my mom was the one who changed him into a wolf, so I'm not just a normal werewolf, I'm a hybrid. I know that my father was the king of the underworld and my mother is the moon goddess.”

“Wait what? Moon goddess and king of the underworld? Your joking, right?”

“No and I shouldn’t have said anything. My mom told me not to say anything. People just want me for my blood because I have queen and king blood.” f**k! How could I have let that slip? I'm so dumb! I really hope he wasn’t lying when he said he was my mate.

“Wait, you talked to your real mom?”

“No, I was joking. Hahaha. I just wanted to see what you would say.” God, I hope he believes my lie. I'm not good at lying.

“You're lying, I can tell. I'm someone you can trust.”

“Fine, I was lying but I need to stay safe. My mom said people are going to try and use me and get close to me for who I really am and for my blood. My mom can't tell me much but she says the only person I can trust is Joan, Sam and my mate.”

“The thing is, I'm your mate. You even said you could feel it. I would never do anything to hurt you or let anyone hurt you.”

“Fine, yes, I talk with my real mom and yes, she is the moon goddess, but I cannot talk or see my dad. When he died, he was sent back to the underworld. My mom was sent back to the moon realm.” I don’t know if this is a good idea... I don’t think he is lying.

“That would make you a demi god if your mom and dad were gods.” wait what? Demi god? I can't think right now there is too much going on. I need to go take a walk alone.

“Umm.... I think I need some time to myself. There is too much going on right now. I want to be alone please?”

“Are you sure? I don’t want to leave you. You need someone.”

“I'm going to go talk with my mom and dad. I don’t want to be with anyone right now. I have a lot going thru my head.”

“Okay, I will let you be for right now. I'm sorry I will leave. I will see you at lunch.” as Josh said, and he started to head to the door. I ran up to him and gave him a big hug. He hugs me back

“I'm sorry. There's just a lot going on right now. I thought I was a normal high school student but my world has been turned upside down and there’s a lot to think about. I will be there for lunch, but right now I need some time and space. I'm sorry I didn’t mean to hurt you Fellings.” as I said that, he hugged me back and kissed me on the forehead and left. I went to my room. How can I be a demi God? Why do I have to be so special? Why couldn’t this have been someone else? I'm so lost! I don’t even know what to do! As I'm sitting in my room, there is a big ball of light that comes into my room and Artimis appears in front of me.

“My sweet child summerstar. Josh is right. He is your mate. You can trust him. And you are a demi God. You will be learning and training to get your powers under control and the blue moon pack will help. They are good people. I can't stay long. You are not alone, my child. Let josh help you be with you. It will help. I know your world has been changing and I'm sorry, but this is how it had to be. If me and your father were still there, we would have been training you from the start, but since we can't, we have elders and the alpha and Luna to help. They will help a lot. I'm sorry my sweet child summerstar, but I have to go. I love you. Tonight, I will go into greater detail with you. For now, just try your best.” with that she vanished.
