My Unexpected Mate

Alpha Training

I started packing for the long journey. I didn’t look forward to Alpha Training as much as I thought I would.

“Are you almost ready?” my mom asked standing by die door. “No, to see all the high ranking wolves from all around the world scars me a bit. Not to mention everyone has shifted,” I replied to my mother. “Don’t forget the Lunas” she said as she was sitting down on my bed laughing. “Oh no, them too” I sighed. “Don’t worry it won’t be that bad. Not to mention that you are stronger then all of them and you haven’t even shifted yet,” she said. I placed the clothes in my hand on my bed and sat next to her. “Listen,” she suddenly said with a serious face. I looked at her a little bit surprised, because she never showed this face before. “I need you to be careful. Your first shift will be there. I’m sorry I won’t be there with you. Keep in mind that the Lycan King and his son will be there. This year they are hosting the training, they will help you. Our families has been friends for years and only they truly know what my bloodline is capable of,” she said.

At first I wanted to ask what she meant but Amarah told me to be patient for answers. “Amarah will protect you and only she can share the secret with you. It is tradition in our family,” she said. I gave her a questionable look.

“You are so special and I want you to know that your family is proud of you,” she said while putting her hand on my cheek. I gave her a hug and she kissed the top of my head.

We heard a knock on the door and looked to see who it was. It was my father. “Lets get some sleep, tomorrow is a big day for you young lady,” he said while taking my mother by the hand.

“Goodnight,” I said and gave them both a hug.

That night I couldn’t sleep. I hated being around high ranking wolves. Don’t get me wrong some of them were pretty decent and kind. Others not so much, thinking they are better then everyone else. I get so upset when I think about it. “Don’t worry we will be fine,” Amarah said. “I will protect you, and if they want to fight, I’ll rip….”

“Calm done Amarah,” I said while laughing. I could feel her grinning in my mind but not see her. In all the years she has been with me I still don’t know what she looks like. “Don’t worry I’m very beautiful. You can say I am one of the most beautiful wolves every. Everyone will love me but also tremble in front of me,” she said while doing a funny evil laugh. I burst out laughing, she is so funny sometimes.

I felt myself getting tired and gone I was.

The next morning I got up, took a shower and got dressed. Still tired of talking to Amarah the whole night.

For the first day I decided to were something nice but comfortable. So I went with a pair of jeans, some white sneakers and oversized white sweater. I got some jewellery on to doll up the outfit and did my hair. I had very long white hair like my mother it went really well with my emerald green eyes. I decided on a messy bun with bangs. I was a very beautiful girl and most of the Alphas tried to court me, both young and old. Although they will never try something in front of my father.

When I got down stairs Julia was waiting for me. She is my best friend and also Beta Scott’s daughter. We both the same age and out moms are best friends. She was also joining the Alpha Training because she was of a Beta bloodline and will one day be my Beta. She is one hell of a bada** and can fight just as well as I do. She had black long curly hair and hazel eyes.

“Good morning,” she said while hugging me. “Morning,” I replied with a smile. We walked together to the dining room where the pack normally has breakfasts. “So did you know my little brother is also going? Apparently he has just gotten his wolf and will soon be a Beta for one of our neighbouring packs,” she asked while looking at her brother and rolling her eyes. “Oh shut up, you just jealous cause you are not the centre of attention,” he teased her.

“Okay that is enough,” Julia’s mother commented while everyone was laughing at our table. “Please just eat your food and leave,” aunt Julie, Julia’s mother pleaded.

The both of them placed their hands on their hearts and made a hurt face. We all burst out laughing. Ohh how I will miss these mornings, I thought to myself.

When we were done eating we said our goodbyes and got into our cars. Me, Julia and James(Julia’s brother) were driving in one car with two other wolves. My father and Beta Scott were driving in the car in front of us.

This is going to be a long drive.
