The Beginning
“Morning Alexa, time to get up,” my mom said while opening the doors to my room. I peeked my head up under my blanked and said I needed five more minutes. As she opened the door she let out a soft giggle, while tucking her beautiful long white hair in behind her ear.
“You are going to be late, and you have training with your father today, remember” she said with a smile. I looked in her ocean blue eyes almost forgetting what she had said. She has this gift that makes people admire and do exactly what she says when they look into her eyes. “Alexa,” she said while laughing. I snapped back to real life and hoped out of bed. “Right, I almost forgot,” I said while walking to my bathroom.
Most of us get our wolves and shift when we reach the age 18, but not me. I had my wolf since I was 6 but my first shift is when I reach the age 21. My father and mother never explained any of it to me. When I would ask, they would say it was a special gift women in her family inherited. When I used to ask my wolf, Amarah, she would just tell me to be patient, and that all will be revealed when I shift for the first time. I didn’t care much about it all. Mostly because I was still stronger and my wolf was with me. It also didn’t stop me from being able to find my mate.
I also have two younger twin brothers who are 10 years old. Since our bloodline is special my mother says they will also receive their wolves early, but they will still have their first shift at 18 and won’t be as strong as me since it is only the women in their family that inherits the gift.
When I was done getting ready I joined my father for training. He is the Alpha of The Blue Moon Pack, the strongest pack with the strongest Alpha. He is also respected by everyone, even Lycans, because he as well wasn’t any Alpha. He had a beautiful black coat and was much bigger then a normal Alpha and could take on any Lycan, even the king. They say he was blessed by the moon goddess with a gift and it has something to do with my mother. No one knows for sure where my mother came from or anything about her, and not everyone cared. Everyone in our packed loved her and outside of our pack respected her.
“Glad you could join us,” my father said with his Beta by his side while I walked on the platform.
“Morning Father, Bata Scott. Sorry I’m late,” I said with a quick bow of my head. “Are my brothers not joining us today?” I asked my father.
“No, they have other matters to attend ,” he replied. I didn’t ask any further questions and got into position. To my surprise my father got on the platform himself today. He rarely does this, and when he does, it is to test my skills. I have been training since I could walk and so has my brothers.
“Oh, well this is a surprise,” I said while he got into position. All the warriors stopped what they were doing and watched us as we were walking in position around the platform. Even some pack members and my mother stopped to have a look.
“You ready little girl?” he joked. “This little girl is about to kick your behind,” I said while jumping on him. He dodged and I landed on my one foot in a low split position. I did a little spin and got up and started kicking while my father was dodging. Everyone was quiet and focused on us, as they have never seen my father fight like this not even with his Beta. Of course this would happen I am almost as strong as him and I haven’t even shifted yet.
I went in for his face but he blocked and grabbed my arm, swinging me to the ground. “Now I’m mad,” I said and he laughed. I gave a couple of punches before I pounced on him and he laid flat on the ground. I growled very aggressively and my father looked at me and told me to close my eyes and calm down. I got to exited and let my wolf take over. She is very energetic and loves fighting. I got up quickly and helped up my father. That is when the pack started screaming and cheering my name.
“Alright everyone that is enough for today! Everyone get to work, classes and school,” said Beta Scott. “Young lady have you forgotten you start your Alpha training today,” my father asked. “Flip, I almost forgot I’m starting with that today,” I said while kissing him on his cheek running back into the pack house to get ready and pack. I’m almost 21 which means I am going to shift soon and I’m also taking over the pack as soon as I finish my training and find my mate. Which is hard because I have not found him yet.
