My Unexpected Mate

Mates

(Note only Damon’s and other characters POV will be made clear in a heading. The rest is all Alexa.)

The next morning we woke up and Julia went to her room to get ready for introductions and announcements. Everyone was told to dress comfortably as they were going for a run in wolf form after the day’s announcements. Of course I won’t be attending the run. I still got 2 weeks to go before my 21st birthday.

“What ever shall I wear?” I asked myself.

After some time of thinking really hard I decided on n grey high waisted sweatpants and a black crop tank top, since it was a hot day. I decided to just put some black sneakers on and made my hair a messy bun. I wore the golden necklace my mom gave we when I got my wolf. I really missed her today.

And just like that my outfit was complete and I looked cute but still comfortable.

I waited for a couple of minutes then Julia and James came knocking. To my surprise she wore the same outfit as me just in different colours. James was dressed in joggers and a normal black t-shirt. We gave each other looks of approval and went to the dinning room where everyone was suppose to gather. We were a little late because announcements has already started.

When we reached the doors Amarah was getting restless. “Alexa, it’s that smell again,” said Julia. And it hit me the intoxicating smell of chocolate with a hint of cinnamon. I immediately opened the door and everyone’s eyes was on me. I sniffed the air and my eyes fell on this tall black haired man. He was stunning and build like a god. He wore a white t-shirt with tattoos picking through all over and light blue jeans. His perching blue eyes following my every move. My heart dropped. The room was quiet and then I heard the word. The word that confirmed my suspicions. “MATE”

He looked at me and I at him with admiration. “Stunning isn’t he,” stated Amarah. “He is gorgeous,” I replied. I was about to move when another man got up and I heard Julia and him both whisper the word “MATE”. Oh Moon Goddess we both found our mates at the same time. James was shocked he couldn’t take his yes off Julia and I. And I couldn’t take my eyes of him. The Lycan King was also standing and looked very pleased with what was happening. To the point where he couldn’t hold back his smile.

“Well, well,” he said. “Who would have thought that the strongest pack in the world’s Alpha and Beta’s daughters would be your mates,” the King commented. The men looked at the King with shock in their eyes. “Come on now join us, this is something to be celebrated. My son finally found his mate after 25 years and so did his future Beta,” the King once said. His SON! I thought to myself. And Julia’s mate is the future Beta.

Just as Julia, James and I went moved a warrior barged in through the doors. “We’ve got company,” he said. The King, my mate and the other guy’s eyes turned black and we all knew they were communicating through their link.

“Okay, this is private business so we need all of you to please go to your rooms,” the King said. Although everyone there could fight and were high ranking wolves the King couldn’t just let them get involved. He would have to much trouble on his hands if any of them got hurt or worse, killed. Julia told James to join them, and he agreed.

Everyone moved back to their rooms although some older ones stayed and convinced the King to let them stay and help.

As they were about to walk out Julia and I joined. “Where do you think you are going,” my mate asked with a serious look on his face. “We going with you,” I replied. “No you are not,” said Julia’s mate. “Yes we are,” replied Julia.

The four of us looked at each other with serious faces. “Okay, that is enough. Now Alexa I promised your father you would be protected. You coming along means that I am placing your life in risk. Which means I’ll be breaking that promise, and I am a man of my word.” Said the King with a serious and concerned face.

I didn’t want to put him in that position so I decided to stay. “I understand” I replied and gave him a small smile. My mate was looking very happy with a very sexy grin on his face.

And just like that, they were off to the border where the rogues were.

There was something I couldn’t understand. They would never take the risk or have the courage to come here. They know how terrifying Lycans are. So what is driving them to be so desperate and bold.

I was left in my thoughts when Julia snapped me out of it. “Come on let’s get inside” she said.

We walked back inside to where the other wolves were. When me and Julia came inside and suddenly everyone was looking at us. We spotted James sitting some of his friends and decided to join them.

We waited ,and waited ,and waited. I swear I could feel Amarah being way to calm in my mind. “Are you okay?” I asked Amarah. “Yes,” she replied as calm as day. “How can you be so calm?” I asked her frustrated. “Our mate will be fine. You know his the future Alpha King right and a Lycan?” She said with a giggle. Just as I was about to reply a blond girl stood in front of us looking at me.

“So you are Damon’s little mate,” a girl said sounding very annoyed.
