It’s lunchtime, and I’m about to head to the cafeteria. Ty is off today, so I’m just going to eat in. I don’t feel like going out for lunch by myself.
Just as I step inside the elevator. I'm called to the front and I head there. I walk up to Nadia, the receptionist, but come to an abrupt stop as I hear the voice my heart's been longing for, for months now.
“What are you doing here?” I ask after turning to face him, my tone indifferent as he walks up to me with a bouquet in his hand, even though my heart rate's gone up just from hearing his voice.
