“T-the…the elf, My Lord?” the doctor replied as he clearly faked ignorance.
Shaw barely moved his head as he shot him a glare. It was written all over his face that he didn’t want to repeat himself and he made sure that the doctor noted that down.
The doctor turned halfway around to gesture to one of the other researchers. The man panicked for a moment before he showed Shaw the way to the back of the lab.
Shaw already knew the way he was the one that built all of this. He was the one that made that safe in the back of the lab to story valuable goods. What could be more valuable than an elf?
Yes, it was one of those mystical creatures that seems to have left the world hundreds of years ago. The head researcher stepped forward to the panel that was popping out on the right. Blue rays shot of it as it scanned his eyries, the moment it did the room shock as the locks started to untangle themselves and push the door to the sides.
Not only was that door saving what’s inside from what’s out here. It was also doing the other way around.
The moment that door’s slid open. Loud pitched noise of metal clattering on metal resonated through the lab. The researchers felt the sweat going down their temples as the moment unfolded, they hated every time that door opened.
Couldn’t blame them. As inside feels like it was something else other than earth.
At the far end of the safe the banging was louder. You could make out the figure of a human from this distance. A body that was on its knees, feet chained to each other and then connected to the metallic floor making it almost impossible to move a limp.
It’s hands hanging above its head as it was chained to the walls on either side. What made it all worse the collar that was chained down to the ground restricting the poor being’s movement. Despite all of that it still had power in its arm to pull against the chains causing them to collide with each other.
Flowing pale blonde hair was falling to ground creating a pool underneath the elf. It’s face completely hidden from view. From the physic of the body, it appeared to be male.
The clattering stop as it sensed the presence of its captors.
The doctors jolted to a halt as the elf raised his head. His long silky hair falling to his temples revealing his pale face. Not even as scratch was on his face, being captive for…he lost count. His abilities to heal for the first time in his long life was his demise.
He felt pain over and over again, only for his body to heal like it was nothing. Giving these stinking humans the right to do it all over again. These crazy tests that they run.
Shaw never stopped moving as his eyes were fixed to the elf in front of him. Then he stopped.
Tilting his head to the side as he took a closer look at him.
“Those eyes,” said Shaw. “And I had a feeling that I’ve seen it before.” he mumbled to himself as he gazed into the vibrant violet of the pupils that were glaring at him to death.
Not even being in these chains prevented the elves from being prideful like they owned the world.
“I met a boy at a banquet just now and he had eyes with the same color,” said Shaw as he walked towards the elf.
“MY LORD!” The doctor called out with a hand of protest. “Don’t get to close to it!”
None dared to take a step close to that elf. That murderous aura that he emitted every time their eyes fall on him was enough to make them wet themselves. They never knew that this research would include a living elf.
No one there knew how Shaw Gotham has gotten his hands on him when the rest of the world believes that they are nothing but a myth.
Shaw ignored the calls of warning and got closer to the elf leaving barely a meter or less between them. He leaned forward to be eye to eye with the other being. Shaw giggled as he straightened his back again.
I would have mistaken him for an elf as well if it weren’t for his human ears. Swiftly Shaw moved his hands faster than that elf could see…but, even if he saw there was so much he could do while being in these chains.
Shaw grabbed the pointed ears of the elf pulling it harshly up towards him. The chains of the collar clattered at the sudden tension, leaving the elf stuck in between two forces.
“Those ears,” Shaw said. “He didn’t have those. Or maybe he could have just gotten them removed, right? It is possible in this day and age.”
“Y-you…”
Shaw’s eyebrows flinched in surprise that didn’t show on his face, he wasn’t expecting it talk as well.
“You think that with this fancy machinery you would acquire a body that isn’t yours?”
Despite the drugs in his system he was able to talk clearly. The rage in his voice echoed on the white tiles that covered the safe that was created just for the sake to keep the likes of him inside.
Shaw giggled. “I guess that your body has grown tolerant to the drug? Maybe I should tell them to increase the dose?” he mumbled under his breath but loud enough for the elf to hear.
“You talking about getting your body?” Shaw let go of his grip causing the elf to tumble down back on his knees. “I already got your body. I’m only seeing if there is anything more to add to him.”
He gestured with his head towards the green capsule that was visible from the other side of the door. The elf clearly saw the body of the human that was inside, he felt sorry for him.
His hate, it wasn’t towards the humans. He never hated humans – they never hated humans. He only hated this inhuman man in front of him. Pointing his rage towards the whole human race didn’t make sense when his target was one man.
