Broken My Ex husband
“What the hell are you trying to do?” Toni’s voice cracked like a whip, before she could respond, pain exploded across her cheek. The force of Toni's slap sent her staggering and she crumpled To the ground. The familiar taste of copper flooded her mouth as she pressed a shaking hand to her face. "I... I was just trying to sit," she whispered, her words barely audible over the pounding in her ears. Toni loomed over her, his face twisted into a sneer. "And who gave you permission to sit?" He chuckled, the sound devoid of warmth. "Wait, did you actually think this special date night I asked you to prepare was for us?" Reality slammed into Leila with the force of a freight train. The hours she'd spent cooking, cleaning, decorating – it had all been for her husband and another woman. Not just any woman. Her stepsister, Zara. “You must be a big fool.” Toni dropped the venom on her and stepped away. She was accustomed to his verbal abuse by now, but what she didn't see coming is her husband cheating and rubbing it in her face. Tears welled in Leila's eyes as Toni turned away from her. With exaggerated gentleness, he pulled out a chair for Zara – a courtesy he'd never once extended to his wife in their three miserable years of marriage. "Thank you, honey," Zara purred, blowing him a kiss as she sat down. Her gaze swept over the table. "This chicken looks divine. The scented candles, the roses... it's just beautiful." Leila wanted to run, to put as much distance between herself and this nightmare as possible. But her legs felt leaden, refusing to obey her desperate commands to move. “At least she is useful for something, she did not only prepare the date, she prepared the after date.” Toni said pouring wine for the both of them. Zara raised her perfectly carved eyebrow in question. “An After date?” “Yes, an afterdate. She decorated both the bath and the bedroom with roses and candles. Get ready baby. It's going to be a pretty rough night in our bedroom. I won't be taking it easy on you.” Toni winked at her. “I'm all set for you, baby.” Zara pushed up her wealthy bosoms and Toni licked his lips. Leila felt a sharp pang to her chest when Toni said “our bedroom.” The same bedroom he had chased her away from was now shared with her stepsister. “You know she can also help us with all the decorations at our wedding since she is so talented.” Zara's statement sent an icy chill running in Toni's vein and he sputtered on his wine and coughed. “Excuse my manners, which wedding?” “Our wedding of course,” Zara responded, sounding a little bit offended as she cut Into the chicken. “Uhh… we'll see about that.” Toni said reluctantly so as not to stretch the talk. Zara turned to her step sister and poked a tongue at her And just then the tears Leila had been trying to hold back dragged through her cheek. Is this what she had given up her fashionista dreams for? Is this what she waited 3 years for? “Oh, she's crying, honey, don't you feel bad for her?” Zara mimicked her crying, mockery lacing her voice as the both of them burst into laughter. “You are becoming a nuisance here. Take this and get out of here.” Zara hurled Toni's briefcase at Leila's head. It hit Leila in the face and she sprang up with urgency. With gritted teeth, she flung the briefcase to the table with force sending the food, wine and every other thing on the table clattering to the floor. “f**k you Toni!” she mouthed. Toni's eyes flashed red as he approached Leila with the speed of lightning, pushing her to the floor again. “How dare you? He yelled, looming over her with dangerously narrowed eyes,“Know this, I don't give a rat's ass how you feel. I'm the man of this house, I can do anything I want and there is nothing you can do about it.” Toni shouted in her ear, making sure he flooded her ears with his spit, “This dinner is going to happen and after that I'll take her to your well decorated bed and f**k her.” He stated matter of factly. “And If you think you are tired of this marriage, you know where the divorce papers are, but remember you are nothing without me and you'll always come crawling back to me for help.” Toni warned and went back to her sister carrying her in his arms in bridal style into the mansion. Leila struggled to stand from the floor, but after so many trials she forced herself up. Her hands were bruised, her head was hurting, but it was all going to end tonight. It's funny to think that she has always been too scared to go through the divorce with Toni. f**k it and f**k him! She trudged into the mansion and sorted out the divorce papers. She scribbled her signature on those darned papers before stomping out of the house. Few Hours later, She grabbed a shot of whiskey, downing it shot after shot, until her throat almost caught fire. Leila sat with her shoulder slouched, looking like something that came out of the living dead. The drinks were burning her throat but she doesn't seem to be feeling any better. The loud music of the bar was thundering, the light pulsing, but patrons littered around the bar table were pale, gulping tequila shots as though it were water. They seemed to be on the same mission with Leila - to drown out their agony. Leila's mind was hammered and raw with pain. Her marriage with Toni was sugary just until she took her mother's fashion house to stardom, eclipsing Toni's business. Toni became green with envy and forced her to stop her business and be a stay at home wife. She endured Physical and Verbal abuse in the name of waiting for him to come back to his senses. She weeped night after night waiting for that fateful day it would happen. Today it seemed the Goddess of luck finally smiled at her after three years when she got a call from her husband to get the house ready for a dinner date. Only to have him set her heart on a butcher's block and diced it. She wore her best lingerie hoping he would touch her again and he did touch her, just that he left wounds. Yet another thing Zara had taken away from her. Zara had always seemed to develop interest in whatever Leila wanted, but this was the height of it, she would not let this one pass. She would snatch everything they had taken from her tenfold. She will make sure they regret ever crossing paths with her. The only daughter of Margaret Brown, the most influential woman in the country is back online and about to shine, but she wanted to feel numb from the mental pain that was eating at her, even the booze wasn't doing justice to it. She craved even a brief respite from the pain._ “Hey mister, get me a callboy.” She ordered the bartender gulping another hot shot of tequila. A mischievous smile crept up the bartender's lips, but Leila didn't seem to notice. “At your service ma'am, I'll arrange one of our best men for you.” The bartender left the bar stand to meet up with a cruel looking man with gray hairs, and whispered something to his ears and the man gave Leila a once over and smiled before walking away. The Bartender came back to the stand and served Leila shot after shot of vodka and tequila, until she almost slipped off the bar stool. Her eyes were red and almost involuntarily closing when the bartender told her that her callboy was ready and was waiting for her in room seventy eight. She went into the elevator and with her mind fuzzy with booze, she entered room eighty seven.
