You turned me into a joke. I didn't deserve any of this. You could have turned down the marriage, but no, you decided to punish me for an offense I know nothing about," I exclaimed, tears rolling down my cheeks. I stood there in the dimly lit hallway, my voice quivering with a mixture of anger and despair. "I can't do this anymore. All I've ever done was to be good to you, to be the perfect wife. I obeyed your every command, yet you treated me like trash. What more do you want from me, Henry?" Tears streamed down my face as I spoke those words, my emotions raw and palpable. Henry looked at me with remorse in his eyes, his voice laden with regret. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to find out like this. I loved Charlotte, and I still do. I knew the only way to win her back was through you, and that's all I did." "Seriously, I can't stand you right now," I said, with my back facing him, tears still flowing. Henry, my husband, watched me, his heart heavy with guilt. He had never seen me like this before, and the pain cut through him like a knife. As he took a step towards me, I suddenly turned and walked away, my footsteps echoing down the hallway until I disappeared into her room, locking the door behind me. The tension in our marriage had been building for months, but tonight, it had reached a breaking point. My outburst was the culmination of a year of frustration, of feeling stifled and unappreciated. Henry knew he had to find a way to bridge the chasm that had grown between us, to understand what had pushed Me to this point. Sofia Blanco was the third daughter of Mario Blanco, a man of authority and strong traditional values. He had raised his daughters with strict principles and high expectations. They had attended the finest schools in Spain, and Sofia, at twenty-three, was his pride and joy. Her personality was a beacon of light in their family, and she had a reputation for being hardworking and compassionate, earning the love and respect of everyone who knew her. She was the glue that held her family together. Sofia had faced adversity from a young age, losing her mother when she was just six years old. It was Lucia, the family's housekeeper and nanny, who stepped in as a mother figure in her life. Lucia taught Sofia how to be kind and empathetic, and how to relate to people from all walks of life. Despite his busy schedule, Mario always made time for his daughters, determined to give them the best life possible. Mario Blanco's ambitions extended to finding suitable husbands for his daughters. His eldest, Gloria, had been married into a wealthy family, and her life was comfortable and privileged. Maria, the second daughter, had chosen a different path, eloping to the United States with her lover. Her defiance had led to a rift between her and the family who felt she had disgraced them by dishonoring her father's choice. Sofia, on the other hand, maintained secret contact with Maria, torn between family loyalty and her sister's choices. Sofia had always been an exemplary child, excelling in her studies and graduating with distinction from the University of Valencia, where she had majored in business management. Her ambition was to work and build her career, but her father vehemently opposed the idea. He held traditional beliefs that women should stay at home to care for the family while men worked to earn money, a stance he clung to fervently. For a man in his late fifties, Mr. Mario defied his age with a youthful appearance that easily deceived others into thinking he was still in his forties. Today, he eagerly awaited the arrival of his long-time friend, Mr. Smith, with whom he had shared a friendship that dated back to their university days. While Smith had established himself as the owner of a prestigious law firm, Mario dedicated his efforts to managing his family's thriving business. As Smith embarked on a business trip to Spain, he made the heartwarming decision to visit his dear friend Mario. Excitement filled Mr. Mario's heart as he anticipated reuniting with his friend and reliving cherished memories of the past. Smith arrived in the late afternoon, Mario had instructed the staff to prepare the finest traditional Spanish meals for his friend. Hey there, Smith, it's been a while! How have you been?" Mario asked with a cheerful smile. "I've been good, my friend," Smith replied, returning the warm greeting. "How are the family and business doing?" "Everything's going well," Mario said with a nod. "The staff will guide you to your room as you get ready for dinner." "Sounds great, my dear friend," Smith replied with appreciation. "After dinner, Mr. Smith and Mr. Mario had a wonderful, late-night chat while sipping on their drinks. Mr. Mario raised his glass and cheerfully said, 'Let's toast to our everlasting friendship, more life, and more prosperity!' The two friends discussed their businesses, kids, and family. As they continued chatting, a brilliant idea crossed Mr. Mario's mind - what if they could strengthen their bond through marriage?
