The Start of an Era

I was furiously typing on my laptop when my phone rang. “Hey handsome.” I said to my best friend. “Hey sexy. I have something important to tell you so I will be over in ten.” He said and hung up not giving me a chance to argue. I put away my work and decide that I have done enough for today. I was about to get comfortable when my doorbell rang and I sighed getting up to open the door. That was quick. As soon as the door was open I was engulfed in a huge hug that made me chuckle. I hugged my best friend back just as enthusiastically. “Hi Armand. Long time no see.” I said and he chuckled as we just saw each other this morning. “So you did actually miss me?” he said mockingly. I rolled my eyes and noticed that he was not alone. He was with Estelle the leader of the second biggest mafia in the world! What the hell? “Miss Conrad.” I said with a nod of the head. “Oh yes babes want to tell me why Estelle Conrad was at your door?” I looked at him with shocked eyes. “I presume you are done with my work?” she asked not even greeting me back as always. “Of course.” I said handing her the flash drive. “Yeah so can we have a drink so that we can get to business?” she looked at me with what I guess is pure disgusts and walked to my living room getting comfortable on the sofa. Well please come in it is not like I am the only person that keeps your mafia unnoticed by the police or the FBI. I glared at Armand and he threw his hands up in surrender. I walked to the kitchen getting a bottle of my finest wine witch is going to be unacceptable by Estelle but who gives a damn? I sat down opposite her and filled the glasses with wine while Armand sat down next to me. Estelle took the glass, sniffed it and then put it down again with a disgusted look on her face. “So here is the deal…” she cleared her throat looking at me. “As you know my son is turning twenty four next month and you are going to be his wife by then.”
