The Trip That Shouldn't Have Started
This story is about a boy named Ryan, who was very intelligent in studies and skilled in every activity. Ryan lived in Chicago, USA.
Ryan was 17 years old and studied in 11th grade. He went to tuition classes every day. One day, Ryan’s tuition class organized a picnic trip. The picnic was planned to visit some beautiful places in the state of Michigan.
Ryan returned home from tuition and told his parents about the trip. His mother agreed immediately, but his father refused to give permission because Ryan was a quiet and innocent boy.
Ryan said to his parents, “I have never gone anywhere for a trip before. Please allow me this time.”
After some time, Ryan’s father finally agreed and gave him permission to go on the picnic.
Ryan became very happy and informed his tuition teacher and friends that he would also be joining them on the picnic.
Two Days Later
At 11:00 PM, Ryan left home with his father to go to the tuition center, from where the picnic trip was supposed to start.
Suddenly, while they were on the way, a car broke through the gate of a house parking area and reversed straight into the middle of the road. Ryan’s father immediately applied the brakes on the bike.
Angrily, Ryan’s father got off the bike and started walking toward the car.
As soon as he looked inside the car through the window, there was no one inside the car.
From the Previous Part
We saw how a car suddenly broke the gate and came in front of Ryan’s father’s bike, forcing him to brake suddenly.
Then Ryan and his father walked toward the car. When they looked inside carefully, there was no driver, and surprisingly, the handbrake was still pulled.
Hearing the noise, a beautiful young girl came out of the house.
Ryan and his father walked toward her and asked, “Is this your car?”
The girl replied, “Yes, this is my car, but I don’t understand how it broke the gate and came out. I clearly remember pulling the handbrake.
Ryan’s father, whose name was Michael, started thinking deeply. He wondered if this was some kind of sign, because he had never seen anything like this in his entire life.
Michael said to his son, “I don’t feel good about this. I think you shouldn’t go on this picnic.”
But Ryan didn’t agree. He insisted that he must go and said, “Maybe this is just a coincidence.”
Pointing toward the parking area, Ryan said, “Dad, look carefully. The parking area is on a slope. Maybe the car rolled down because of that. And it’s possible the handbrake didn’t work properly.”
Ryan’s explanation seemed reasonable to both Michael and the girl, who was 18 years old.
They thought it might just be a coincidence.
The girl, whose name was Daisy, parked her car back inside the parking area. After that, Michael and Ryan continued their journey toward the tuition center.
Because of this incident, Ryan got late. Meanwhile, all the students and teachers were already seated inside the bus.
When the teacher noticed that Ryan was missing, he called him and said, “Hurry up, we’re getting late.”
Michael sped up the bike and managed to drop Ryan at the bus on time.
Ryan boarded the bus and sat on the last seat with his friends. He leaned out of the window and said to his father, “Thank you so much, Dad, for allowing me to go on this picnic. Please go home safely and forget whatever happened on the road.”
As he said this, the bus horn sounded, and the driver drove the bus away from the tuition center.
