Evangeline looked into her husband‘s eyes and he looked into hers and he knew what she was thinking and what he had to do. “Aiden, dear child” he started. “The pack is under attack and I can no longer keep my daughter safe” he said with tears. “But you’re the alpha. He was only a kid himself. How was he supposed to care for another child. Let alone the Alpha’s child. “I’ve prepared a bag of food for y’all. You’ll take her and the food and run all the way north to Liberty pack. They’re our allies and will help you” Evangelina said. “I’ll give you money to buy clothes and food on the way. There isn’t much food here and you’ll need fresh clothes” Mathew finishes now standing next to his wife. “Ok. I’ll do it” Aiden said with determination. “Wonderful” Mather turned to his desk and wrote a quick letter before sealing it in an envelope. He handed the envelope to Aiden. “Just give this to Alpha Clarkson when you arrive” Aiden nodded his head then took the envelope and placed it in the bag of food and money. Aiden picked up the bag and took Isabella’s hand. She was slightly shaking from fear and flinched when he took her hand. “Don’t be scared princess. You’re going to go with Aiden for a while. Ok?” Mathew keeled in front of his daughter and opened his arms for a hug. She ran forward for a hug as he wrapped is arms around her. “Remember daddy loves you very much.” He said “I don’t want to go. Please don’t make me go” Isabella said while crying in her fathers embrace “I know princess, but you need to go. Please. Daddy can’t loose you” Mathew said as tears fell again. Isabella stepped back and wiped Mathew’s tears “don’t cry daddy. I’ll go. Don’t cry” she than hugged Mathew again. “Thank you princess” “I love you daddy” “I love you too princess. Very much” “Don’t you have some love for you momma too?” Evangelina asked with her lip in a pout. “Of course momma” Isabella hugged her momma. “Never forget we love you ok?” “Ok momma” Suddenly there was loud banging and shouting from outside the office door. “You have to go now!” Mathew said and opened the window. Aiden took Isabella’s hand to take her away, but she wouldn’t move. “Momma, daddy come with us” she said while crying “Princess we can’t come now. We’ll come get you later” Isabella just stood there crying. The noise from outside got louder. “You need to leave. NOW!” Mathew shouted frantically. Aiden picked Isabella up and grabbed the bag before jumping out the window. They got out of the window just has the door burst open and 5 large wolves walked in. The 4 wolves in the front stepped to the side and the largest black wolf walked forward. He had black fur and blue eyes. He talked to her parents and she couldn’t hear what he said. Than he jumped forward and ripped open Mathew’s throat. Isabella was still watching everything over Aiden’s shoulder while he ran away. “DADDY” she screamed when she saw his lifeless body fall to the floor. Her mother shifted to her wolf and charged at the black wolf, but the 4 other wolves grabbed her and held her to the ground. “MOMMA. YOU HAVE TO FIGHT” Isabella shouted. Aiden heard what they said and pulled Isabella’s head down and pushed it to his chest so she wouldn’t see. “Cover your ears, Izzy” he whispered to her. She nodded her head and covered her ears. As soon as the got into the woods Aiden set her on the ground and shifted into his wolf. He had gotten his wolf on his 13th birthday. His wolf was a dark gray with a white belly and some white on his head, neck, and legs. Once he shifted his wolf picked Isabella up with the back of her shirt using his teeth and set her on his back. “Hold on” he said. She held on to his fur and he started to run again. Eventually Isabella fell asleep.
