Kiko was only up ahead. Rosalie could hear whispers echoing down the passage along with what sounded like whimpers. She could not tell whom it was that Kiko was whispering to and she did not get the chance to when she heard loud footsteps from where she had entered into the dungeons.
She immediately panicked and thought to inform Kiko, however, running or yelling would only alert the guards that there was someone inside the dungeons who was not supposed to be there. What Rosale did may have seemed selfish but she could not risk getting caught and getting into trouble. Using the darkness as cover, she made her way to the next row and hurried to the end so that she could be able to see the guards as they came down that passage.
