The table and the documents were covered by a thick layer of dust. Rosalie brushed the tips of her fingers on the surface of the table and coughed some when the dust unsettled into the air, particularly close to her face. She inhaled deeply once the air was clear enough and picked up the documents, one at a time, and waved them about to blow away the dust covering them. She then quickly set the down on the table and hurried out the door where she exhaled and inhaled once again to breathe in the clean air.
The small room was now filled with the dust and she had to wait about five minutes for the dust to settle on the floor. She returned into the room and this time she ran her fingers against the cover of one of the documents. There was no writing on it, only a blank surface. She picked up
