It was spring nearing summer, in other words prom season, the perfect time for Camila to set her plan into motion. There was absolutely no way on Earth that she was going to watch Adam go to prom with another girl, over her dead body. If bad came to worst, she would rather the whole prom got scraped all together than endure that heart break. She actually gave being a decent human being a try and asked Adam to be her prom date. Well, I'm pretty sure from what we know of his personality so far, we all know how he responded to that much to Camila's misfortune. Since the normal human way seemed not to work in her favor, Camila had no other choice than to cry to Daddy about it. Adam's family business was in the same industry as her Dad's, so getting the two families to talk was totally doable. She confessed to her parents, tears streaming down her flawless face, just how much she loved Adam. The very same boy who couldn't care less about her life outside their classroom. Her Mom tried bringing her back to reality, claiming that he wasn't worthy of her tears if he was that cold and saying that it was just a high school crush that would fade away with time like all the others. Hearing that made her cry even harder, gaining her more sympathy points from her Dad who naturally had a soft heart when it came to her. After trying to bring them back to reality and then realising that she was just preaching to the walls instead as none of the words got through any of them, her Mom decided to exclude herself from whatever was to come. As soon as Camila managed to calm down, her Dad called his personal assistant and asked him to get him as much information on Adam as possible. Since that was the kind of information the PA already had, Camila's Dad got it within a day. He was actually pretty surprised after going through what he received because it wasn't at all what he had expected. Turned out that he knew Adam's family pretty well. Not only were they in the same business industry but his Dad happened to be a friend of his back in their Uni days. Business and life in general had drifted then apart, with the last time they saw each other being at either one of their weddings (not sure which one as they both got married within the same year, less than four months apart). They both occasionally kept in touch but not as much as before they got into the business world. You know the saying that business and pleasure don't mix? Well these two gentlemen took it way too literal, especially after getting into the same industry and potentially being each other's rivals (even though they made sure not to ever run into each other). In a way it kind of worked as they were relatively still in good terms with each other without any bad blood. All that aside, Camila's Dad was really happy that the kid she was interested in was his friend's son. He was looking forward to meeting him (Adam's Dad) and catch up on how life has been, of course with Camila's request being his main priority.
