Livia But how? I still could not believe. I hung between going to the villa to confirm it by myself or to just turn around and never get back or contact him again. What was the point? It wasn't possible that all of this was a lie. I started the car and instead of turning back, I head on towards the villa. I would just return his watch and forget him. I never found that hard to do. And even if him getting wedded was all a rumor, I would stil.... well I just hope it's a rumor. I gulped hard and drove on. The closer I got to the villa, the faster my heart paced. There was loud noise emitting from the villa. It sounded festive and some how I still had hope that I would be someone else and not Liam really marrying someone. As I walked through the crowd that looks like the reception, I heard a familiar voice call out to me "Oh, hey there darling. You still made it." "Hii." I smiled uneasily before rushing my way through. I met the door man at the post and I halted before him."Invite?" He demanded politely. "I don't look like I have one, do I?" I slipped my hands into my jacket and tried looking around in case I could see anything that hinted on Liam being the groom so I could just leave quietly. "Could you step to the side please?" "Can you get, Lockwood for me?" "Mmm." He grumbled and turned to his assistant. "Tell him... tell him it's Livia." I said begining to lose control of my shuddering breath. I rested on the bench frame and within a minute, a man marched out, in a ceremonial kaftan. His beard had grown grey and so had his moustache. But he didn't seem to change. "Lockwood." "Livia. How long has it been?" "We'll talk about that when I'm inside." "Come in." He said and I follow him through the large hallway. A great deal of renovation had been done to this whole place at once. "Livia... You went ghost for years..." He was already sounding apologetic and at once I knew where he was going. "Where's Liam?" I asked before he could finish. "He is down hall, it's his ... mating ceremony." He was looking at me as he said so and all I did was nod in his face and continued walking till we reached the staircase. I stopped there and looked down at the crowd that occupied the hall as Liam was being led to say his vows with a veiled woman whom I didn't even bother to look at. Watching them, I drew in a deep breaths and clenched the wristwatch. "Livia..." Lockwood called and immediately I took his hand and placed the wristwatch in it. "Give it to him for me. I came to return it. That's why I came." "Ooo- kay." "I wish I could wait, Lockwood but I really have a lot to get back to. It was great seeing you again." I blew him a kiss before hurrying back. When I shut the door to my house, it was already sundown. I slid my back down the door till my butt touched the carpeted floor and I begin to hear the sound of my own crying. Immediately I covered my mouth with my palm and closed my eyes tight. I felt my world shattering around me with each passing second. My eyes flushed with tears as I stared once again again at the unread messages I left for Liam. They now had two ticks. I scoff back the tears with a smile, he must have known that I came. But I couldn't help it as my head dropped onto my knees and the door vibrated to my cries. ~You know that I love you, Livia. I always have and I am ready to give up anything to be with you. You are the only woman I have ever truly loved and if you let me, I would prove it to you~ "jerk!" I cursed while doing the dishes as his words rang back in my ears. How convincing he had sounded. Liam had always sounded that way. I could in fact swear that he has always been sincere about his feelings for me. He always made it seem so. Suddenly after sleeping with me, he runs off and finds another mate. I scuffed at the irony. "I always knew he was just lusty... It was so clear. He made it clear...." I didn't finish before giving in to the sick feelings and running off to the bathroom where I threw up into the toilet. I washed my face when I was done and the serious headache returned. While I flushed the toilet, I was recollecting the the difficulty I was going through in breathing. My nose had suddenly gone stuffed by the cold. With my mouth hanging open, I walked out of the bathroom and mounted my bed. "You're so stupid, Livie." I mumbled from my pillow. Right now I couldn't even tell whom I hated more between Rick and Liam. I felt like I needed to disappear. I had no one now. No one left at all in the world to turn to. The fever persisted for days and by the time I opened the can to see that I was taking the last pills of aspirin, I knew I didn't have the illness aspirin could heal even after six consecutive days of swallowing four pills. I stopped at the local clinic where a lady was asking me suspicious questions. Did she think I was doing drugs? "You'll have to take a test before any further..." "Okay." I really wanted to get back home. I was getting cold again. After an hour, she came back with the test result and I opened it and read the lines from the test. I read through the lines over and over again and I realized that the suspicious questions I had to answer wasn't out of suspicion of me doing drugs but for something else. I was pregnant!
