Stephan (POV)
I didn't want to get up. Ember was lying on my chest almost asleep when Sam came back with everyone. I wanted to know what he found out, but not in front of Ember, not yet anyway. Her anxiety was finally starting to ease, I didn't want to trigger it again. She needed to rest. But with everyone here, that was not going to happen. Maybe having her friends with her might help.
"Little bear, why don't we let you spend some time with your friends? Some girl time." I said, slowly getting up since her head was still on my chest.
"That's a good idea! I could use a break from all these chic flicks you keep making us watch." Rex said with a laugh.
"They are not that bad." Ember said, rolling her eyes at him.
