Ember (POV)
Victor's back was covered in some kind of green oozy slime. It looked bad, real bad. It was definitely infected. It was turning red and purple around the ooze. Whatever Santiago used to slice his wing had to be coated in something else for his back to look like this.
"I'll be fine, I just need to feed." he said, brushing it off.
"Vic, please let Sasha help you. We need to get your back cleaned up. Babe, it's awful." I said, taking his hand. He tried to protest but, I wouldn't let him.
"Vic, please. It will make me feel better if you let Sasha clean your back." I said, giving him sad eyes and pouting my lip out.
"Fine. But you're worried about nothing. I'm a vampire. I'm fine." he said, rolling his eyes.
