Ember (POV)
Victor didn't back down. He went right to Sasha and told her we were canceling the mating ceremony for tonight. She was not happy about it and tried to argue with him, but he stood his ground. He said he was not having me unhappy on a day that was ment to be celebrated. Uncle James jumped in when he heard Victor's reasoning. He agreed with him. So everyone was staying in the pack. Until we can have our ceremony.
Victor didn't like that his people were going to be staying longer. He didn't like them this close to me, right now. Not until he could figure out who he could and couldn't trust. He couldn't understand how any of the vampires could be working with Dominick.
Now that the ceremony was being postponed, I didn't have to get dressed. I stayed in bed watching television.
