I felt a protective pull towards Ember. I got closer to her, ready to strike if I needed to.
I have known Sasha my whole life. I knew that she was a powerful sorceress. My father always tried to get her to join his side. From what I understood, she never agreed. My father didn't like it, but he would not go against her. He trusted that his relationship with her was civil enough. She would never attack him. But he never trusted her and knew that the Wolf King trusted her. King Marcus trusted her enough to make her the Royal Sorceress and the god mother to his child. I wanted to believe Sasha was on our side. But as she talks about her parents I am starting to worry we may have been fooled.
