Ember fell onto my chest and I wrapped my arms around her trembling body. She was breathing heavily, and I could feel her heart racing against my chest. I ran my finger through her hair as I ran my other hand softly up and down her back. Her skin felt so soft.
I wanted this moment with my mate to last forever. Ember didn't move or get up, so I held her in my arms. Locking this moment in my mind forever.
Ember's body had started to calm down. "I love you!" she said softly. Still lying on my chest.
"I love you too, little monster," I said, just as the door to the cottage opened.
Ember went to move, but I held her tight as I shifted us, shielding her body with mine.
"Really!" Sam said, rolling his eyes, walking in and seeing the two of us naked on the couch.
