I felt light when I woke up. All the weight and stress I had been carrying had been lifted off me. I was worried about Xavier. My parents told me my mates would be immortal, but that would not be until the blue moon when we marked each other. It would still be hard for the trolls to kill Xavier.
I was no longer scared of the trolls. I was not scared of anything anymore. This was my world created for me by my parents. There was no way I was going to let anyone destroy the gift my parents had given me. I would fight. I will not give up. I was fighting for my family and my friends. If I lost, they would die. I didn't want that, no matter how messed up this world was. I wanted them to live.
