Immediately I was choked by own reaction when I unexpectedly heard a child calling out to me from the other side of the room. With curiosity, knowing I'll regret later on while holding onto my stomach that's impatiently waiting for explosion, I took baby steps with my eyes looking ahead to find the source of the voice.
"Eomma!" I heard the voice again, and the next thing I hear is footsteps coming my way. As his voice comes closer, I expect a parent following her child's steps, but instead...
"Eomma! Welcome home!"
"...An... Alpaca?...What the hell?"
The Alpaca opens his mouth to an "o" shape and gasps, "Eomma used a dirty word! Bad!"
"I-I-it TALKS?! AAAHH!" In that moment I immediately made a run around the talking alpaca and subconsciously headed myself to the bathroom.
Bathroom. Bathroom. Bathroom!
As soon as I turn the knob, it didn't took long to notice a puppy standing on its paws and gesticulating it's front paws as if it's desperate. The puppy turns his head around and wiggled it's tail.
"Ma!" The voice sounded so innocent at the moment when the puppy saw me. With its tiny feet he runs to my footing and jumps against my legs desperately asking for me to carry him.
"Holy f-" I ran away once again and this time, I went to my room. I pushed my door open and saw two figures fooling around on my bed.
A tiger cub and a bambi?! What the hell is going on?!
"Eomma!" The two animals called in unison and jumps into my arms. Before making physical contact, I narrowly dodge their action and ran to the final room...The living room.
After taking at least six steps, I stopped to see a black kitten snuggling with a baby bunny.
I didn't even know what's going on, my mind was in jumbles, my stomach stopped working and the waste inside me unfortunately went back up to where it belongs. Looks like I don't need to go to the bathroom anymore.
While the situations still hot, I took the chance to slip my fingers into my shopper bag and dialed Jinyoung's phone.
"Hello? Sarang? Why are you calling me all-"
"JINYOUNG GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE! HELP ME!"
"Wa-wait what?" I ended the call when my eyes made contact with six animals coming closer in my range. As they come closer, I intended to back myself away from their presence.
"Eomma, home!" The puppy barked and wagged his tail happily. The alpaca came to me with caution and smiled. At first I thought it looked adorable but at the same time terrifying because of the creature having the ability to communicate in human language.
"Me? Eomma? What the heck are you guys talking about? I'm not your parent, and besides how can you guys t-talk?!"
"You're so loud Eomma... Kookie's sleeping." The black kitten hissed from behind giving me the instant reaction to turn around. Indeed the kitten's mad because of my loud voice. Finding the reason, I moved my eyes down to find a baby bunny snuggling against the kittens furry belly that looks to be comfortably sleeping.
"K-kookie? T-this bunny?"
"Eomma!" The three baby animals jumped onto my legs and snuggled against my chest. My eyes brighten in shock at the situation, but after a minute or two, my nerves ceases to overreact.
The tiger purred and I can't resist it!
"Eomma, I'm hungry. I want to eat!"
"W-what? H-hungry?" I stuttered suddenly at the sudden touch of the animals. And as soon as they come closer to my neck, the door slams open appearing Jinyoung.
"Sarang I'm here! Is everyt- WHAT THE f**k?!" Jinyoung jumps when he sees the animals attached to my body. They turned and tilted their heads.
"Eomma's friend?"
"Bad word! Ajusshi you're a bad man if you say bad word!"
"S-s-s-sarang...T-these things c-can t-talk...W-wait, don't call me Ajusshi! Sarang, we should call the zoo keepers or the police or something!" Jinyoung pulls out his phone and without a second thought, I jumped to stop him from pressing the contact.
"W-wait Jinyoung. I don't think we should call them."
"What on earth are you talking about Sarang? You have a frickin tiger, a bambi, a cat, dog, an alpaca and a c-cute little bunny here in your apartment! If we do nothing who knows what they'll do to you!"
"But they're kids..."
"Where do you expect to them? Under your bed, in your drawers? In this small space, I don't think so." Jinyoung objects looking into my crouched position holding onto the animals in my arms. I nodded and pushed myself into deep thought.
Logically, calling the police to collect the animals can resolve this problem, but for these kids to have the ability to communicate...It'll become more problematic.
"Don't worry Eomma! We won't let the bad guys catch us! We are good at playing hide-and-seek."
"Yes that sounds like a great idea, you're so smart!" Jinyoung said sarcastically.
But how can we hide these kids in this small apartment? It's not common having animals running around the house except for cats and dogs.
As soon as I move my eyes to the alpaca, a sudden puff of smoke came into vision dispersing into thin air. The second it disappears, Jinyoung and I don't see an alpaca, but instead-
"You can turn h-human?!" I yelled pointing my fingers to the now human boy.
"Paca!" He smiles and chuckles to our reaction, "He he he! Paca! Jin's brothers can do it too!" The boy runs to my range and talks to the deer and tiger cub.
"TaeTae, Hobi. Hide-and-Seek!" The two smiled and puffed within my embrace only to leave me coughing. Not only the two, but the kitten also transformed except for the little bunny.
"Um... Now we know that you can transform, we can take you all back to your homes, Jinyoung."
I look over to Jinyoung, "Help me!" He looked stunned at the moment and hesitates to walk closer to the children. Acting as if they are unpredictable and wild he reaches out his hand and pulls at each second.
"Yah! They're just kids!"
"I k-know! But experiencing this is scary as hell! It's like one of those Changlings in Troll Hunters."
The boy's eyes widens understanding what the situation is about, so he turns and tugs on my shirt crying.
"Eomma! Are you going to kick us out? No! We don't want to leave Eomma behind! We want to stay with you!" As he sobs, his animal ears pops from his head making his state look more adorable. I turn to Jinyoung once again as I give him the furrowed expression.
"Don't look at me, you're the one with a problem, I was simply dragged into this. But I suggest you putting them behind bars." I took the time to think about the solution.
"Well, if they were to be put behind bars, then what'll happen to them once the people knows they can communicate?"
"Well..." Jinyoung hesitates to answer, "I'll take care of them until we find their parents and you're going to help me with it."
"Um, you know that I don't get along with kids right? They annoy me with their cries and trauma."
"Well that's obviously because you suck at taking care of kids. But still you're the only one who knows of this secret, so at least help me."
"Be glad that I love you so much."
The decision was finally made and I brought my eyes down to the boy's eye contact. On second thought, I never knew their name. I open my lips to finally ask.
"I never knew your name." The boy's eyes widen and smiles bringing the attempt to call his brothers in line. The boy starts.
He raises his arms, "I'm the Handsome Jin, oldest of five Paca!"
The next lazily introduces himself with a yawn, "Yoongi. Genius", I chuckled.
"Hello! I'm your Hope, you're my Hope. I'm JHope! Hoseok! But broder calls me Hobi."
"Wof! Chimmy!" Jin walks beside the little pup and introduces his identity, "His name is Jimin."
The second to last speaks, "TaeTae! Eomma, milk!"
And finally, the toddler of the family. The brothers walks over to the little bunny and Jin attempts to carry him in his arms gently, "And this is Jungkook, our little kookie!"
Silence lays in between and I smiled, "It's nice to meet you all, I'm Sarang and this is Jinyoung. We'll be taking care of you guys until we find your parents."
"Yay!" They all cheered silently, not to wake up the baby, "Now what should we do now?"
"Eomma! Milk!"
"Eomma, I want meat, meat! meat!"
"Eomma! Eomma! Eomma! Ggi! Huggy!"
"Look Eomma! I can jump high!"
"I want to sleep..."
"Well Sarang, looks like you are becoming a parent from now on."
"WHY ME?!"
