Helen is in the middle of conducting a tutorial when her cellphone rings. One of her students giggles. Helen excuses herself and answers the phone. She would never usually answer the phone but it must be an emergency. No one has this number except her nanny. And Allan.
It’s Sophie. She says that Paul got a call from Allan. That Allan has been taken to the police station to be questioned. Sophie says that Paul is still at home in bed with his bad back, and, besides, he isn’t a criminal lawyer and there is nothing he can do.
