Arthur, Charles and I sat outside the next day drinking lemonade as if nothing happened. At first it was a bit awkward, having my fiancé and his brother, my love, sitting and talking. But after a couple of minutes that all drifted away. We began to brainstorm ways in which we could announce the ending of our engagement and why. “Why not be honest?” Charles suggested. “Well we can’t be completely honest brother,” Arthur said. “We’d never live any of this down.” Charles smiled but shook his head. “No, not the entire truth.
