Florida State prison, August 2011 Dear Ava, It’s the eve of my retrial, tomorrow I will know if I am to be re-sentenced to death row, or if I am to be a free man, and tomorrow I will see my mom and dad for the first time since I was a boy. Needless to say there will be no sleep for me tonight. Suddenly sleep seems unimportant and a complete waste of time. There is far too much thinking to be done, far too many memories to re-play.
