Laura fidgeted with her hands, trying to figure out the right words to tell Cody. She took a deep breath and started to speak, but Cody spoke first.
Cody: " Look, Laura, I know the love you once had for me wore off. You may not remember me, but I can't forget you no matter how hard I try. I came, not knowing if you had yet awakened, to say that we should separate. I want you to be happy, even if it's not with me like I've hoped." Laura looked Cody in the eyes and said, " I can tell you're a great person. I don't know or remember why I stopped loving you, but you deserve to find someone who feels that you're their moon and their stars.
