A Blood Lust

Chapter 6

A week passed and Laura started to get small fragments of her memory back. The family was sitting down for breakfast when Frank suggested that Laura visit their family cabin in the mountains. Frank: " We went there a lot when you were a kid, maybe it'll help you recover your memory." Everyone agreed. Laura went to pack her bags and take a shower that evening, as she would be leaving early the next morning. As Laura turned off the water, she hear rustling in her room. Wrapping herself in a towel, Laura went into her room to check. when she steeped out the window woodshed open leaving Laura startled. The events happening to Laura lately had her puzzled and she felt camping out in the mountains would be a good break. Ann called the phone company to have the cabin phone line reactivated because there was no cell service. Later that night as Laura tried to sleep, she couldn't help wondering if paranormal activity was amidst, or if she was just overthinking. Lying there lost in her thoughts, Laura finally dozed off.

Early the next morning, A ringing alarm awakened a sleeping Laura. She shut off the alarm and sat up on the bed and looked around. She noticed her arm looked like it had been pricked. Laura was Confused and decided to ask her parents.

Laura: " Mom, Dad. Do you guys have to secretly give me shots when I'm asleep?" Her parents looked at each other confused, then back at Laura. Frank: " No dear. What would make you ask us that?"

Laura: " No reason. Just extra sleepy." Laura went upstairs and prepared herself while her dad took her bags to the car. The trip would be 2 weeks exactly, but Laura began to wonder if it was safe to go alone.
