And she opened the locket and looked inside it and her smile vanished and her breath stopped, it had inscription inside it was ..

" Will you marry me again ?"

Anika looked at him with wide eyes as he smiled to her and sat on one knee and said ..

Shivaay : what is your answer ?

She swallowed and gasped for breath as a tear slide on her cheek and she took a step back !

Shivaay smile vanished and stood as she looked at him terrified then took another step back then for his surprise she ran from there and Shivaay stood for a minute stunned then looked at Priyanka with wide eyes who was equally shocked .

Priyanka : aren't you already married and just renewing your vows ? Why is she so terrified ?

Shivaay : wait here

Priyanka nodded yes hard as Shivaay ran behind Anika and looked around , but he couldn't see her , the minute he was stunned of her reaction was enough for her to vanish .

Shivaay: ANIKA?..ANIKAAAA?

He ran to the end of the street and looked around but again as if she just vanished , what have he done ? She didn't even yet confess her love , why he keeps rushing her ?

Shivaay:ANIKAA?

And he held his head feeling he will go mad in worrying about her , he wasn't thinking if that is a rejection ? he wasn't caring of anything but that she might never come back , but from god's mercy ,before he take his first step back to Priyanka , he heard a whimper, a faint whimper , just very near to him , he felt it pinch his heart and send great sadness to himself

He looked to his side and saw Anika sitting on a pavement in a tight dark side road , hiding her face behind her knees and crying her eyes out , shivering from fear just like the first time he saw her , alone in her own sadness and deep in pain .

Shivaay ran towards her and stood in front of her and said ..

Shivaay :Anika ?

Anika stopped crying and looked at him with tears covering her face and her body still shivering , their eyes met for a second and he saw in her eyes so much pain , fear and guilt ..So much unpleasant feelings as he was just trying to give her more happiness

he smiled faintly to her as a tear slide on his cheek and opened his arms to her, no matter what he wants to hold her and sooth her pain, she looked at him and cried harder seeing his tear and ran to his arms and he hugged her tight

Shivaay : I am sorry , pretend I didn't ask ...I just want to be in your life always even if it’s not ...

Anika cried harder and interrupted : NO , NO (then she looked at him and said)you are the best husband any girl can wish for , you are the best man I ever met and god knows what I feel for you but ... you want a real marriage , a life commitment and it can’t be broken, Shivaay ...and I am so scared , I am so scared to come to your life with all my pain and all the devils around me ...(then she cried harder and said) I am scared you will hate me like my brother hates me but you will have to stay with me because of that commitment and I can’t handle hatred from you ..All my life I am living with people who curse the day I came to this life and ...

Shivaay shook his head and hugged her tight...

Shivaay : no , god no ,..Oh Anika , I would never hate you and defiantly wont blame you for my pain , because it was never by your hand and god even if it was , it will be a bless

Anika : what if loving me was a mistake that will only bring you more pain , what if you knew that one day?

Shivaay cupped her face that was covered in tears and said ..

Shivaay : loving you is the best thing that ever happened to me , if it was a mistake then my whole existence is a mistake, because Shivaay can’t exist without his Anika ..you are me , not just a part from me , I felt that from the first time I held you between my arms (then another tear fall of his eyes) I felt your pain as my own ,I just wished that you say the marriage vows without being forced to them (then he smiled widely and said) I wished that you wear a wedding dress when I hold you between my arms not a dress covered with blood , I wished that we have a pleasant story to tell our children

Anika looked at him with wide smile as he added ..

Shivaay: that of course if you will have me , I just want a promise , so again Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi , will you marry me by your own choice ?

Anika chuckled and nodded yes hard ..

Anika : YES, YES , YES

Shivaay screamed happily and said :YES ?

Anika jumped and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his lips a fast kiss and his smile vanished and said numbly

Shivaay: oh god it's really a yes

Anika chuckled and nodded as he put her down and held her hand and kissed her palm then they both walked back to where Priyanka was waiting , and the minute she saw them she stood and said ..

Priyanka : Bhabhi ? Is everything okay ?

Shivaay smiled widely and said : she said yes ..She just wanted to be spoiled (then he hugged Anika and said) and it worked , I will spoil her

Priyanka chuckled happily and hugged Anika and said ..

Priyanka: YAY , you are going to be my Bhabhi , Bhabhi

Anika raised an eyebrow and said : I am already your Bhabhi ,smart girl

Priyanka pouted and said : hey , it’s your game , I am just getting along with it, for me you should be having a baby by now (then she frowned and said)you are married for too long

Shivaay and Anika in the same time : IT’S BEEN A WEEK

Priyanka : so ? I didn't say I will take little Priyanka to the school now

Shivaay raised an eyebrow and said : oh and who said I will name my girl after you ?

Priyanka eyes widen and said angrily : and why not , I am beautiful , I am smart and I cook perfect omelet (then she raised her finger and said) don't deny it , you love it

Anika : should I remind both of you that there is no baby , yet !!!

Priyanka : oh god , oh god but there is going to be a wedding and mehindi ceremony and I should get everything ready ..So when is the wedding ? Wait ? It can’t be before at least a week or two ..

Shivaay : it will be whenever Anika is ready (then he whispered to Anika) to say " I love you "

Anika cheeks blushed as he smiled widely and Priyanka smiled widely and said ..

Priyanka : now we should really celebrate , on my treat and I know the perfect place for that , but promise me bhai that you will not argue with me and will accept mine like I accept yours

After minutes ..

Priyanka parked the car in front of a night club and looked at Shivaay who was looking at her with angry eyes as she smiled a shivery smile ..

Priyanka : surprise !!!

Anika looked at Shivaay and said : what is this place ?

Shivaay took a deep breath and said :Mr. Shakti rent that club for me on my 21 birthday , because it was my favorite club (then he smiled faintly and said) the one I used to sneak to before reaching the legal age (then he chuckled and said) so when I did , he rent the whole club for me from his owner , I don't know why he did that ..I liked the people , but here I had the place for my self

Anika smiled widely and said : he really loves you so much

Shivaay smile vanished and looked at Priyanka and said ..

Shivaay : and that what Priyanka trying to remind me with but I...

Anika interrupted : you already know how much he loves you

Shivaay looked at her as she smiled and nodded as Priyanka said ..

Priyanka : so will we get in or not ?

Shivaay looked at Anika who smiled and said ..

Anika : I would like to see what used to be your favorite place

Priyanka smiled and said : let’s go inside then

the three of them went to the club and the minute they entered Priyanka ran to the dance floor and danced like no tomorrow , but Shivaay and Anika just stood there , for Anika it was so dark , so loud and the light was so annoying ,but she didn't want to ruin the moment for Shivaay and Priyanka so she smiled to Shivaay who said with wide smile

Shivaay : you like it ?

Anika:WHAAAT?

Shivaay: YOU LIKE IT ?

Anika: VERY MUCH AND YOU ?

Shivaay: ME TOO..YOU WANT TO DANCE ?

Anika smiled an awkward smile and said ..

Anika : ONLY IF YOU WANT TO DANCE ?

Shivaay looked at the dancing floor and then he shook his head

Shivaay : I DON'T WANT TO DANCE

Anika: ME TOO..WHAT YOU WANT TO DO ?(then she shook her head and said)MY THROAT AND EARS NOW HURT ME , CAN WE TALK OUTSIDE ?

Shivaay smiled widely then he took her outside and both of them took a deep breath

Shivaay : okay what you were saying ?

Anika: what you want to do in there?

Shivaay looked at the club then he smiled and said ..

Shivaay: whatever you want to do

Anika swallowed then said: I want to do , whatever you want to do

Shivaay looked at the club and said : I hate this place, I do not want to go back , it’s really annoying

Anika smiled widely and said :me too

Shivaay smiled widely and said : there is a cafe here , you want to drink something ?

Anika nodded yes hard with wide smile as he took her hand and they entered the cafe that was just so calm , with old classic music and the loudest thing in it was a pool table and the sound of the coffee machine .

Shivaay : what you want to drink ?

Anika : anything except apple juice

Shivaay smiled widely and said : two mango juice please

Then he looked at the pool (billiard )table and said ..

Shivaay : do you know how to play ?

Anika looked at the table then she nodded yes hard and said ..

Anika : yes

Shivaay smiled and said : can you teach me ?

Anika smile vanished in surprise then she smiled widely and nodded and both went towards the pool table and Anika pulled two cue sticks and she gave him one and then held the chalk and rubbed it on the tip of the stick

Anika : okay billiard game is very easy , the first step is to know how to hold the stick to push the cue ball right so you can push the balls in the pockets easily (then she held the stick and said) just like that

And she held the stick and Shivaay tried to hold the stick and she shook her head ..

Anika : no not like that Shivaay

And she left her stick and approached and stood behind him ,glued to his back and held his arm and whispered ..

Anika : just like that .

Shivaay body tingled hearing her whisper and feeling her hands on his arms and he closed his eyes for a second then concentrated on the stick as Anika bend more and by accident smelled his hair and closed her eyes and said .. ..

Anika : your hair smell like pineapples

Shivaay smiled and said : It is the smell of my shampoo, you like it ?

Anika smiled and said : I love pineapples

Shivaay smiled widely and said : so the cue ball is the white one?

Anika smiled and said : you are a fast learner , you know how to move the stick ?

Shivaay shook his head as Anika slide between his arms and his back became glued to hers as she held the stick and pushed the ball and he whispered ..

Shivaay: Anika ? Where did you learn to play billiard?

Anika looked at him sadly and didn't answer and his smile vanished and said a bit angry..

Shivaay : Surya taught you ha?

Anika smiled faintly and said : no , my brother... one day he took me to a small place outside the village , it had billiard table and many other games from the city but wasn't fancy like this place. He taught me how to play and bought for me cotton candy and he smiled to my face all the time , it was the happiest day of my life , I felt he loved me..He acted really kind and seemed happy with me

Shivaay closed his eyes and said : you miss him ?

Anika smile vanished and said in low tone : am I allowed to ?

Shivaay smiled faintly and said : I don't know. But all I know that your brother lost his luck and the bless in his house when I took you

Anika smiled faintly and said : thank you .

The waiter came to the table and put their drinks on a small table beside the billiard table

The waiter : sorry to get your drinks late but there was a big fight in the club beside us and we were trying to help. You know drunken boys and how they go crazy ,

Shivaay eyes widen and said: Priyanka!!

And they ran out of the cafe as the waiter called for them and they entered the club where everything seemed the same but Shivaay asked the DJ to stop

Shivaay: PRIYANKA

Priyanka approached him and the music start again ..

Priyanka: IS EVERYTHING OKAY BHAI?

Shivaay nodded and said : WE ARE GOING HOME

Priyanka looked around then nodded yes and was about to go but a boy pulled her hand and said ..

The boy angrily : WAIT , I DIDN'T FINISH DANCING YET

Priyanka answered innocently : I AM GOING HOME , SORRY

Shivaay angrily pushed the boy hand away from her and the boy smiled widely and said ..

The boy : DUDE , COOL DOWN , I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT ..YOU CAN HAVE HER

Shivaay frowned and took Priyanka between his arms but for his surprise the boy pulled Anika

The boy :I WILL TAKE THIS ONE , NOW IT’S FAIR ..DANCE , PRETTY GIRL

Anika screamed as the music stopped with her scream and Shivaay’s flying punch to the boy teeth and the people gasped as both Anika and Priyanka screamed and stood on the side and the boy spit the blood from his mouth then chuckled and said ..

The boy : oh you want to fight big boy , okay let’s fight. Boys come help your brother here

Three boys came towards Shivaay and both Anika and Priyanka screamed as Shivaay stood ready to fight

The owner : CALL THE POLICE , BRING THE SECURITY

And the boy was about to punch Shivaay but Anika collapse on the floor and Priyanka screamed ..

Priyanka : OH GOD , SHE FAINTED !!

Shivaay: ANIKA

the boy retracted in fear of getting blamed on what ever happened and got out of the club as the owner and everyone was busy to wake Anika than Anything else , as Shivaay carried Anika who seemed lifeless on his arms and he got out and ran with her to the car and put her in the back chair as Priyanka sat on the driving chair and Shivaay sat beside Anika and screamed ..

Shivaay : GET US TO THE NEAREST HOSPITAL

But for their surprise Anika sat straight with worried eyes as Shivaay flinched and Priyanka eyes widen

Anika : ufff , I am glad they bought it , otherwise we were to be in deep trouble

Shivaay opened his mouth in shock as Anika swallowed and pushed his chin up to close his mouth

Anika : I had to stop this fight somehow Shivaay , I didn't have another idea , I am sorry , don't get angry with me

Priyanka smiled widely and said : get angry with you ..My Bhabhi you are a genius

Shivaay eyes widen and put his hand on his chest and said ..

Shivaay : I just fall in love for the second time

Anika smiled widely and put her head on his shoulder as he kissed her head.

After 2 hour..

Shivaay was leaning on his belly shirtless as Anika sadly attended his back wounds with antiseptic , patting very lightly , but he kept flinching

Anika : they never hurt you like that before when I change on the wound , maybe we should call the doctor

Shivaay : no it's the punches , when I stretched my arms ,I felt them irritating me ..But it didn't bleed so no need

Anika shook her head and said : what you were thinking Shivaay ?

Shivaay: I am sorry

Anika : you should be more careful , please

Shivaay: I am sorry

Anika nodded and was about to go get the wounds bandages but he held her hand and said ..

Shivaay : the one on my lower back hurt me too , can you attend them too

Anika face blushed and said: okay take your pants off and cover yourself with the sheet

And she closed her eyes as her body shivered and said ..

Anika : I will just wait for you outside ..I will be more comfortable to do so

Shivaay nodded and said : okay , wife or should I call you fiancé

Anika chuckled shyly and entered the elevator and pressed G but it was stopped in the 2nd floor and Nanny entered and Anika smiled to her and she just didn't answer her smile back and Anika had to understand

Anika : aunty , I feel you don't like me..So tell me if I did something that offended you?

Nanny stopped the elevator and said : Anika , you are really sweet and kind ..You remind me with my daughter .

Anika smiled widely and said : thank you ,aunty ..That is an honor and ..

Nanny interrupted : I took my daughter out of school so she can help me , she works as a house keeper in the villa near us , my daughter is married to the driver of the Singh Oberoi , you saw him ? That is my son in law

Anika looked at her stunned and as she added ..

Nanny : you think if Shivaay asked to marry my daughter , I will be happy ? No I would rather kill her by my bare hands than agreeing on this

Anika held on the necklace as Nanny said ..

Nanny : because Shivaay deserve much better , he deserve an educated girl , a one who can raise his children and makes them proud not ashamed of her ..Someone like Ragini for example , you get what I mean?

Anika closed her eyes in pain as Nanny nodded and said ..

Nanny : my daughter , you now understand what I mean ..If you love Shivaay or care for him , you will know the right thing to do

Anika nodded and said : yes ma’am , you are right ..Shivaay deserve better , it’s time to fix this once and for all ..I will talk with him

Nanny held her hand and said : it’s very brave from you to take that decision ...,it is the hardest decision a married woman can take ...that is why I will come and support you

Anika looked at her for a moment then nodded yes and pressed the 3rd floor and the lift got to the third floor and Shivaay said as the door open ..

Shivaay : CLOSE YOUR EYES FOR YOUR OWN GOOD

Anika and Nanny close their eyes as Shivaay wrapped the sheet on his waist and said ..

Shivaay : yes ..(Then he smiled faintly) Nanny? Welcome

Nanny smiled and said: Shivaay , Anika want to tell you something that you should hear , you better sit down

Shivaay sat with wide eyes as Anika looked down sadly and said ..

Anika : Shivaay , when you married me I didn't think we will be that different , in the class and in the education level ...(then she shook her head and said) it’s not going to work this way

Shivaay eyes widen in disbelief as Nanny smiled widely .

Shivaay: Anika , what are you saying ...?

Anika closed her eyes hard and said: please let me finish ..you deserve a better girl , no matter how much you denied it , I can feel it , I feel insecure and even if you accepted a girl like me , I won’t .

Shivaay looked at her with shocked eyes as Anika said ..

Anika : that is why I decided ...

(Then she swallowed and held her hand that was shivering ..But Nanny held on her hand to calm her down )

Anika : I decided to complete my education and improve myself and be the person I always wished to be , so I can feel more secure , if you do not mind

Nanny eyes widen in disbelief as Shivaay chuckled happily and said ..

Shivaay : oh my god sweetie , that is the happiest news ever ,that is all

?

Anika smiled widely and nodded yes hard : so you don't mind?

Shivaay: of course not , I will help you to study and I will do whatever it takes , then college too ..Why not?

Anika smiled widely and looked at Nanny with wide smile as Nanny smiled to her a shivery smile , she meant divorce not for Anika to improve herself !!! And part of her feel that Anika knew what she meant , part of her sees a look in Anika's eyes that says ( nice try )!! But she is not sure

Nanny : okay I will go

And she turned as Anika said ..

Anika : Nanny wait , thank you for your support. It was really the hardest decision a married woman can take

Nanny froze and turned and looked at Anika who smiled to her and nodded and Nanny nodded and rode the elevator and got down as Anika closed her eyes and said ..

Anika : okay sleep on your belly and hold on the sheet

Shivaay : okay you can open your eyes

Anika opened her eyes as he leaned with the sheet covering him and she with shivering hands slide the sheet till the end of his back and she patted on the wounds lightly with antiseptic and he kept flinching ..Then he relaxed

Shivaay : I am falling sleep Anika , I am sorry ..I can’t open my eyes .

Anika smiled and said : do not worry about that , good night Shivaay

After a minute she heard his faint snoring and applied the bandages then covered him fully with the sheet , but then she noticed a small scratch on his shoulder and without thinking she planted a kiss on it and whispered ..

Anika : thank you

And she took a deep breath then got out of the room and to the ground floor and for her surprise she saw Shakti standing as if he was just waiting for her .

Shakti : how is Shivaay ? I heard his wounds hurt him

Anika looked at him with faint smile and said : he fall asleep , they weren't bleeding, he just made some effort and they irritated him , but now he is okay

Shakti smiled a sad smile and he nodded yes and was about to go but for his surprise Anika said ..

Anika: HE IS INNOCENT SIR

Shakti stood frozen in his place and looked at Anika who nodded yes and he said ..

Shakti: he told you that ?

Anika shook her head and said : I just know , like I know deep down you feel it but can’t prove it to your conscience (then she smiled and said) you are a great man papa, you were worried on a girl you thought innocent and didn't care of anything but keeping her safe (then she smiled widely and said) just like Shivaay

Shakti : what you mean ?

Anika smiled and said : papa , Shivaay didn't marry me because he loved me , he didn't even knew me ..Shivaay saved me from Veer , who wanted to ...(then she smiled and said) but Shivaay saved me from his hand , so Veer tried to marry me forcibly so he can get what he want and my family is very poor papa ..They couldn't say no to his money

Shakti looked at her sadly as Anika looked down with teary eyes over a faint smile ..

Anika : I wanted to kill myself , I was really going to but Shivaay offered to marry me and keep me save and he did , he suffered so much to do that ..He stood in front of the world for a girl he don't know and he didn't ask for anything in return , not even my emotions ..not even my gratitude, so a man like that did all that for a poor helpless girl he didn't know and no one in this life stood for her before him , can do something that terrible to a girl he was going to marry and his own father consider her a daughter ?!!!!!

Shakti looked at her shocked as Anika smiled widely and said ..

Anika : you should be really proud of your son , you raised a great man

Shakti smiled widely and said : you know why I consider you my daughter from the first second I knew you are Shivaay's wife ?

Anika shook her head and wiped her tears as Shakti added ..

Shakti : because when you spoke before I knew you are my daughter in law , when you spoke to Veer and Tej and said that you were protecting your husband and the way you talk about your husband , I thought who ever her husband is , he is very lucky

Anika smiled and put her hand on her heart that was pounding fiercely and he said ..

Shakti : but now I think he even luckier than I thought

and he smiled and went from there as Anika put her hand on her chest , that was pounding very hard , not because of Shakti ‘s words but because of her words on Shivaay , that she spoke for the first time , it’s so clear , how she doubted those feelings that rushed to her as she spoke about him !!!

She got in the elevator and pressed the third floor , and felt the elevator is so slow , seconds felt like years and the distance felt like miles

She returned back and ran towards the bed and looked at Shivaay who was deeply sleep and caressed his hair with wide smile as tears trickled down her cheek and she whispered ..

Anika : you are right , I LOVE YOU and apparently so much .
