Chapter 20

Shivaay kept turning from side to side on his cold bed that he is sleeping on , on his own .Minutes seemed like hours and the seconds handle in the clock seemed as if it is teasing him , telling him

" no I will move even slower "

Shivaay moaned in frustration and leaned on his belly and shoved his face in the pillow, then he shook his head and said...

Shivaay: I can’t do it ..I can’t

And he got out of the bed and got down the elevator to the 2nd floor and reaching to Priyanka’s room he opened the door slowly and removed his house slippers and walked on his tip toes and looked at the bed and saw Priyanka sleeping with half open mouth and beside her Anika who was leaning on her side , he walked slowly on his tip toes and went towards the other side of the bed and saw Anika with wide open eyes that seemed sleepless like his

Shivaay whispered :Anika ?

Anika looked at him and smiled widely as he sat on the floor and looked at her hand that is covered by mehindi drawings and smiled widely

Shivaay whispered : it looks really beautiful

Anika smiled then she whispered ..

Anika : you can’t be here , we promised Piku , that we will be in separate rooms till our wedding night

Shivaay whispered angrily : it’s you who agreed on that not me , but if you loved me as much as I love you would have not accepted that in first place

Anika eyes widen and said worried : I love you more than you love me , but Piku told me that you won’t feel our wedding so special if I am always in front of you and available ..She said that I need to put some chili and spice it up

Shivaay frowned and whispered : I am not a dish , Anika ..You can’t spice me up

Anika whispered: okay , okay ....but why you agreed and promised her with (Oberoi's word)

Shivaay whispered angrily : because I am an i***t ..That is why

Then he stood and whispered ..

Shivaay whispered : come with me now

And he tried to carry her and Anika shook her hard to him but it was too late as Priyanka tied her ARM to Anika's ARM so the minute Shivaay carried Anika she was pulled off bed and fell on the floor with her hand raised up

Priyanka:WHAT ? WHAT ?

Then she grabbed a pillow from the bed and said

Priyanka : it’s you...(then she said in scary tone )put your wife down ..Nice and easy or I will throw it

Shivaay looked at her with wide eyes then put Anika on the bed slowly as he looking on the pillow in her hand .

Priyanka smiled widely: good , good .., now get to your room Mr. Groom , you have three more nights to sleep by your own and miss our bride

Shivaay tightened his eyes and said : you are evil

Priyanka : don't come till morning , bhai ..I take my bride’s maid duties really seriously (then she whispered to Anika) is he angry with me , you think I am in trouble ?

Anika looked at him as he tightened his eyes to her and she swallowed and whispered

Anika: I know I am in trouble

Priyanka swallowed and smiled a shivery smile : it’s because I love you bhai , plus you gave me the " Oberoi ‘s Word" that you will come only in morning , which can’t be broken

Shivaay blow in frustration and was about to go but then he smirked an evil smirk

Shivaay : oh Piku , but its morning !!

Anika looked at him with wide eyes then looked at the dark room and shook her head in disbelief as he was still smirking

Priyanka : is it ? Oh ..Then why it’s so dark ?

Shivaay : because of your heavy curtains silly

Anika moved her lips with word "evil " as he tightened his eyes to her and gave her (you wait for me ) hand gesture and started untying the nod between her and Piku and then carried Anika ..

Shivaay : okay you go prepare yourself for the breakfast or papa will be furious with you

Priyanka nodded and rubbed her eyes and went to open the curtains so she can let the sun in as Shivaay took Anika between his arms and ran with her to the elevator and after a second they heard Piku's gasp and she screamed ..

Priyanka : YOU KIDNAPPED YOUR WIFE ..IT’S KIDNAPPING

They reached the 3rd floor and Shivaay put her on the bed as she smiled a guilty smile and said ..

Anika : it’s because I love you

Shivaay got on the bed and pinned her hand on the pillow and she gasped fearing on her mehindi but lucky for her it dried

Shivaay : you wanted to spice it up , to make me desperate and miss you?

Anika : yes , what is wrong with that ? (Then she smiled and said) I just want to intense your love for me

Shivaay : oh okay

And for her surprise he started tickling her and she laughed loudly and screamed ..

Anika chuckled and said : stop ..I can’t ..Take it

Shivaay chuckled and said : what ? I am just making you laugh, what is wrong in that ?

Anika chuckled and said : I got your point ..I am sorry ..I am sorry

Shivaay stopped as she took her breath then smiled to him and he said ..

Shivaay : its okay , I forgive you

And he leaned to kiss her but she turned away then she smiled widely and said ..

Anika : not before marriage!!!!

And she leaned on her side with wide smile as Shivaay looked at her stunned and said ..

Shivaay : then you are not sorry

Anika turned and held his hand and said ..

Anika : I am sorry to think I can be a part from you even for one night

(Then she held his hand and said ...)

Anika : because I cannot sleep without feeling you by my side , I just wanted us to live the experience just like who is getting married soon

Shivaay rolled his eyes and said :and I should be convinced with this and don't get angry from you ?

Anika : can you at least just hug me and hold me in your arms , even if you angry with me ?

Shivaay looked at her then crossed his arms and closed his eyes and Anika looked at him sadly and for his surprise she hugged him tight and closed her eyes and he could not help but smile widely from the gesture and pulled her to his arms and pressed his lips on her hair and she felt her heart will stop from happiness

Next morning .

Omkara and Priyanka were sitting on the breakfast table noticing the angry glares Shivaay giving Anika who swallowed and continued eating

Shivaay : Piku , could you ask Anika to pass me the bread ?

Priyanka looked at Anika who passed for him the bread and he proudly looked forward as Omkara said ..

Omkara : bhai ? Is everything okay ?

Shivaay looked at him and nodded ..

Shivaay : Piku , could you ask Anika to pass me the water ?

Anika stood and held the water and neared it to his lips as he looked at her and she smiled faintly and said

Anika : please ? I want to do that

Shivaay neared his lips from the glass and he kept looking at her eyes and his blame look turned to pure love

Priyanka :Bhabhi?

Anika flinched and took the empty glass away from his lips and said

Anika : I will get you more water

And she was about to run to the kitchen but Priyanka looked at her and Shivaay then put her foot in Anika 's way which only caused her to fall on Shivaay's lap and he couldn't help the smile on his lips as she swallowed and said ..

Anika : sorry

And then she ran to the kitchen as Shivaay swallowed hard and took a bite of his food as Priyanka ran towards her but before she says anything , she heard Anika saying to herself looking at a calendar in the kitchen as she filling the glass of water .

Anika : happy birthday to me

Priyanka eyes widen and walked slowly backward then ran to Shivaay and whispered ..

Priyanka : bhai , are you really angry from Bhabhi ?

Shivaay whispered : of course no , who can get angry on Anika ?! I am just teasing her

Priyanka : good because today is ....

But Anika came with glass of water and gave it to Shivaay who drank the water as she smiled and whispered ..

Anika : I am sorry again

Shivaay patted on her hand and she smiled faintly with gesture and held her hand and Priyanka looked at Omkara who was across her and moved her mouth with the word ..

( Birthday )

Omkara eyes widen and looked at Shivaay who was still not noticing anything and moved his mouth with word ( birthday) but Shivaay didn't understand but as they are sitting for their surprise a person came near them carrying a stack of files that covered the person face but from the sound of the shoes , it was a girl .

Shivaay and Omkara stood as from behind the files the girl talked.

The girl : hi , I am the head designer 's secretary , my boss told me to come here and give Mr. Shakti those designs and ..

but suddenly the files fell over the table of the food and the girl gasped as Priyanka ,Anika , Omkara and Shivaay kept collecting the files from under the table and over the table and the girl looks was now clear with her thick glasses and her hair in pony tail and her nervous stressed expression

the girl : please help me , if those designs got ruined I will be dead , you don't know him , he will kill me

Anika looked at her sadly and got out a design from a bowl of soup and the girl held the design and her eyes widen

The girl :oh Gauri you are so dead

And she fainted on Anika's arms as Anika gasped and all looked at her with wide eyes ..

Anika : what kind of day is that ?? Help ??

Priyanka , Omkara and Shivaay ran towards Anika who was barely able to hold her

Shivaay : water , Omkara

Omkara ran and held the glass of water and then took Gauri from Anika's arms in his and sprayed the water on her face and she wake up

Gauri : where am I ?

Then she looked at Omkara who was holding her in his arms and she said with faint smile ..

Gauri : thank you

(And she adjusted the glasses on her eyes as Omkara smiled an awkward smile and nodded )

Gauri : thanks everybody , where are the designs ?

Priyanka held to her a wet design and said ...

Priyanka : here it is

Gauri looked at the ruined design and nodded ..Then fainted again

Omkara : OH God , what is with this girl ?

Shivaay : for god sake , ms Gauri ...don't worry , the head designer is on 2 weeks' notice , then you will work with another when I find one , plus even if he didn't leave , I am the vice president means his boss and yours , so don't worry I won't fire you

Gauri opened one eye and said : are you serious ?

Shivaay nodded and for their surprise Gauri stood on her feet like nothing happened and shook everyone hand

Gauri : thank you , thank you , thank you..The files is here and now I will return back to work

(Then she looked at Omkara with wide smile and adjusted her glasses and nodded to him and everyone then walked out as everyone just sat back at the table and Omkara asked ..)

Omkara : what is just happened ? What with this girl

Anika smiled and said : I liked the girl ..But she is super stressed , apparently the head designer is so mean

Omkara : Bhabhi , all the designers are mean and proud and the head designer is the worst

Anika : so what are you designing ?

Omkara and Priyanka looked at each other as Shivaay covered his lips .

Shivaay : I might forgot to tell her that we are one of the biggest fashion brands globally

Anika smiled widely and said : really ?and you said you are the vice president ?

Shivaay nodded as Anika nodded with faint smile to him and said ..

Anika : I am so happy for you , I wish if you told me

Shivaay nodded faintly with awkward smile as Shakti came out of his office room and said ..

Shakti : Shivaay ? There is no time for me ..So you will come today or from Monday ?

Shivaay looked at Anika who smiled faintly to him ..

Shivaay : I will come with you papa , but can I talk to Anika for a moment

Shakti : of course son

Shivaay held Anika 's hand and took her a side and said ..

Shivaay : everything happened so fast I didn't have time to tell you , I am sorry

Anika smiled and said : it’s okay , but what about the school ,will you have time for me ?

Shivaay : my whole life is for you

Anika smiled faintly and said in low tone : then I will wait for you ..I hope you come early (then she smiled faintly and said) you are not angry with me ? Right?

Shivaay smiled faintly and said : something you should know about me by time but I will tell you about it now but act as if you don't know it

Anika swallowed and said : okay ? What is it ?

Shivaay : I never get angry from Anika , I never will get angry from my heart owner and the person I wake for every day ,I just want her to pacify me and care for my anger (then he smiled and said ) can't you spoil me a little , village princess ?

Anika smiled faintly and looked at him then she leaned on his chest and said ..

Anika : I love you so much , don't you ever get angry with me

Shivaay smiled and moved her hair on one side and exposed her shoulder and kissed the mehindi writing of ( I love you too)

Shivaay : always remember

Anika nodded as he was about to go but she called him ..

Anika : Shivaay ?

Shivaay looked at her as she smiled and said ..

Anika : try to come early

Shivaay nodded and went out of the door with Shakti and she looked down sadly then ran to the elevator and Priyanka shook her head and said..

Priyanka: I can’t believe bhai forgot her birthday , or do you think he is doing a surprise for her ?

Omkara : I don't think he knows at all , didn't you notice how much she does not know about us? It must be the same for him !!

Priyanka eyes widen then nodded and dialed a number and said ..

Priyanka : bhai ? You are in deep trouble ..Your wife's birthday is today and you don't know

And they heard the sound of a car parking loudly and Priyanka smiled to Omkara who shook his head in disbelief as Shivaay returned back running and said to Priyanka ..

Shivaay : you are not joking right ?

Priyanka : no , she said it to herself and we tried to tell you but you were in another world

Shivaay : where is she ?

Priyanka : she went to her room ..she seemed really sad (then she frowned and said) won’t you stop the " I am angry " drama , the last time you did it the girl was about to put you in the prison , plus all what Bhabhi want is to just live with you every moment she didn't get to live with you , and for you not for her

Shivaay : she told you that ?

Priyanka : not directly but I am a smart girl

Shivaay took a moment then he smiled and said ..

Shivaay : it’s not time now , I need your help in something (then he smiled and said) a little bit crazy but if I know my Anika , she will love it

Omkara and Priyanka smiled to each other as he nodded to them ..

After minutes ..

Anika was looking at the English dictionary and repeating the words

Anika : engleesh ..(Then she shook her head and said) no Shivaay said it’s ..(Then she closed her eyes and said) ENGLISH (then she chuckled and said ) yes ..You are brilliant Anika

(Then she heard the ringing of the elevator and left the book and ran to open and it was Omkara with raised eyebrow)

Anika: Omkara ? Is everything okay ?

Omkara raised an eyebrow and said : come with me , young lady

Anika confused : young lady?!!!!!

And he pulled her hand and both entered the elevator as Anika was looking at him confused and when they reached the ground floor , she found Shivaay standing squeezing his hand nervously

Anika : Shivaay what is going on ?

Omkara held on her hand and said to Shivaay

Omkara : so you were asking my permission to date my sister ?

Anika looked at them stunned then she looked at Shivaay who said ..

Shivaay: yes , if you don't mind

Omkara looked at Priyanka who nodded to Omkara as he nodded to her then looked at Anika .

Omkara : do you trust he is a good man ?

Anika : yes of course (then she shook her head and said) what is going on ?

Omkara : what is your full name so I can ask about you ?

Shivaay : Shivaay Singh Oberoi

Omkara nodded and said : okay but bring her at 9 ..We really worry for our sister

Priyanka : she is our most precious , take good care of her

Anika smiled knowing what they are trying to do and looked at Shivaay with wide smile and shook her head in disbelief as he smiled faintly and nodded to them as Priyanka held her shoulder and said ..

Priyanka : listen carefully Bhabhi , you are a big girl now , and this bhai seems as a good guy who wants to marry you

Anika chuckled as Omkara nodded and said ..

Omkara : we trust you , but if you are worried from him or something ,say then we will find you a better man

Shivaay frowned and said : don't push it Omkara ,this is a drama but I still can kick you , you know !!

Omkara swallowed then held her shoulder and said ..

Omkara : he is a scary man ? Are you sure ?

Shivaay frowned more as Anika chuckled and said ..

Anika : he seems like a good man

Omkara nodded then tightened his eyes to Shivaay as Priyanka kissed her head and Anika chuckled , that feels just perfect and for a moment she wished that her family was that caring and kind ..Then it came to her mind , this is her family and they are that caring and kind

Shivaay smiled and took her hand and she chuckled happily feeling like a girl in her first date and waved to them as Priyanka and Omkara waved to her

Priyanka faked crying and said : our little girl is a big girl now

Omkara faked crying and said : we did a great job with her

And Both nodded to each other ..

After minutes ..

Shivaay parked the car in front of the cafe shop that they played in it the billiard before and he opened the car to her as she rubbed her arm feeling slightly cold and he took his jacket off and put it on her shoulder and she smiled ..

Shivaay : can I hold your hand ?

Anika chuckled and said : I don't mind at all

He smiled and held her hand and they entered the cafe and sat on a table ..

Shivaay : I have to say , you are more beautiful than I imagined you

Anika chuckled and said : and you are handsome too , Mr. Shivaay

Shivaay : two mango juices please .. You like mango juice , right ?

Anika chuckled and said : Shivaay , why are you doing this ?

Shivaay smiled and said : you wanted to live the experience from the beginning so I am giving you it (then he smiled and said) now tell me Anika how old are you today ?

Anika chuckled and said : ohh , I see ...you know it’s my birthday (then she smiled and said) I am 22 years old

Shivaay :and I am 26 ..I am from Mumbai I work with my father in the fashion business and I am looking for a girl with black hair and kind eyes ..and her name has to be Anika the village princess

Anika smiled shyly and said : I am 22 years old , from a small village , my father and mother passed away when I was 12 and ..That is all

Shivaay smiled as the waiter brought the juice and he nodded to the waiter as thank you

Shivaay : tell me more about my in laws ?

Anika : I thought we will know each other by time

Shivaay : that is true , I am asking about your family not you

Anika smiled and said : my mother was a teacher in the village 's school and my father was a tailor

Shivaay chuckled faintly and said : we all work in the cloth business then

Anika smiled and said : yes my father was the best tailor in the village , I remember when I was 9 I used to sit beside him for hours as he making the dresses , you know ? He used to make me draw my dream dresses and he made it for me ..I wore the most beautiful dresses in the town and after he passed away , I continued making my own dresses .

Shivaay smiled widely and said : you were his princess

Anika smiled faintly and nodded : he was really kind to me (then she shook her head and said) but not to Rudra

Shivaay smile vanished and tried to change the subject ..

Shivaay : how about your mother ?

Anika : my mother looked just like me

Shivaay smiled and said : she must be really beautiful then

Anika smiled shyly : thank you (then she smiled widely ) my mother was a teacher in the school in the village but then she got sick and passed away. And my father passed away in the same night ..(then she took a deep breath and said) he passed away in his sleep as he hugging her picture as if he couldn't handle the idea of waking up when she is not there

Shivaay smiled sadly and caressed her cheek as a tear fall from her eyes .

Shivaay : I think I am falling for you all over again

Anika smiled and held his hand then said ..

Anika: you want to play billiard?

Shivaay smiled and said : sure , but you should be careful I learned from the best

(And he winked and she chuckled ..)

At night ..

Shivaay and Anika returned back to the mansion and she smiled and said ..

Anika : I had fun today

Shivaay : I really wished if I knew from before ,I would have made a great celebration for you

Anika smiled and said : what better than have a protective family and have a first date with you and playing billiard till night (then she smiled and said ) and making you lose

Shivaay frowned as she chuckled and hugged his arm and he smiled to her

Shivaay smiled and said : we are home , our first date ended and we returned back as man and wife but you can ...

And for his surprise she kissed him passionately and then broke the kiss and he said ..

Shivaay: wow , that is a good answer

Anika : I am done with experience , I want to be your wife and hug you and kiss you and ...

Shivaay covered his chest and said in dramatic acting

Shivaay teasingly : no , Mrs. Singh Oberoi ...you can’t touch me before marriage

Anika chuckled as he hugged her and they both opened the door and it was dark

Anika : what happened , why it’s so dark ?

(Surprise )

The light came back on and balloons fall over her head as Omkara , Shakti and Priyanka were standing with a huge cake with candles of number(22)

Anika chuckled and said : OH MY GOD

Shakti came near her and kissed her head and gave her a small box

Shakti : this is Shivaay’s gift for you , but I am the one who picked it

Anika looked at Shivaay with wide smile as he nodded to her and she opened it and for her surprise it was engagement rings ..Real ones with their names written inside

Anika smiled widely as he held her hand and kissed it and put the ring in her finger

Shivaay : I thought we should have real ones that can live for ever

(Then he kissed his foil wrap ring and said )

Shivaay : but I will never forget that

Anika smiled and pulled his finger and put the ring on it then smiled

Anika : now my name will be always with you

Shivaay ; it’s in my heart beats

Priyanka : okay make a wish and don't say it out loud

Anika closed her eyes and blow the candles and thought..

Anika thought : I wish my loved ones always be with me .

After they ate the cake Shivaay and Shakti sat in the office room for a while to talk ,as Anika went to her room as happy as she can be , but after a moment she heard Shivaay 's phone ringing and that when she noticed she is wearing his jacket ..

she got out the phone and thought to go tell Shivaay but then she thought to just take a message for him , since he is sitting with Shakti and probably don't want to be bothered so she answered ..

Anika : this is Shivaay Singh Oberoi 's phone ..He is not available now , may I take a message ? I am his wife.

The caller : oh wow , birdie ..It’s even better that it’s you

Anika eyes widen and her body shivered hearing Veer's voice and she was about to end the call but she heard screams of pain of a man , her knees felt weak and she felt numb ..

Veer : I am glad you are smart enough not to hang up birdie ..now let’s play a game , the sound you just heard is for someone you know and care for ..., so guess who ?

Anika eyes widen and screamed :SHIVAAAAY

And she rode the elevator that seemed slow as ever and she ran towards the office room and opened it but for her relief Shivaay and Shakti were sitting and Shivaay eyes widen seeing her condition .

Veer : come one birdie , guess again

Anika : Omkara ?(then she screamed ) OMKARA ?

Omkara came running with Priyanka and looked at her with wide eyes as she put her hand on her chest , everyone she loves and care for is here ..He is a liar .

Shivaay: Anika ?

Anika smiled and shook her head taking her breath and was about to hang up but then she heard the screams and this time it was by her name .

(ANIKAAAAA )

Anika felt numb recognizing the voice as tears flow over her cheek , no not everyone she loves is here ..There is one missing , one she can’t stop love , no matter how she tried !!

Veer : okay final guess ?

Anika in low tone : Rudra ? My brother ?

Veer : bingo !
