Chapter 4

Suddenly they heard a loud knocking on the door of the house that soon started to be an attempt for breaking the door as Rudra and Bhabhi froze beside the unconscious girl tied to the leg of the bed, and looked at her blue and bloody body. Hearing a man voice screams "ANIKA"

Rudra and Bhabhi flinched with the sudden scream and both ran and looked at the door that was shaking so hard and was about to break and the screams of Anika's name that was as loud as the sound of the breaking door, it was terrifying for both of them, that neither was able to assimilate it or even move one step

Bhabhi terrified: who is that? Is that Surya?

Rudra eyes widen and looked at her and shook his head in disbelief, not able to say a word or come near the door that he couldn't imagine who is behind it , with that much anger and strength calling his sister name

"ANIKAAAA .."

They both flinched again as Rudra gained some strength hearing the door cracking and said ..

Rudra: I will go see who is at the door

But Bhabhi held his hand and shook her head and said ..

Bhabhi :NO , whoever on the door came for Anika's aid and we can't let him see her like that ..We should hide her somewhere and not open the door and the minute the door get broken, I will scream and the neighbors will know that its intruder, And maybe that intruder who attacked Anika ..Yes , you should get out of the window in our room as if you weren't here and I will say just this and Anika is in no condition to say I am wrong

Rudra shook his head and said : NO , I am not a coward ..I can face the person myself

The door cracked loudly once more and Bhabhi flinched and said ..

Bhabhi: do what I am telling you , we don't have time .. But first help me to move Anika to the reception, she can't be attacked and tied in her room ..We have to ...

But for their surprise the heavy wooden door just fall on the floor with loud thud that both flinched and Bhabhi ran towards Anika's room and closed the door holding on the door handle with shivering hand as Rudra stood with wide shocked eyes facing a man with bloody finger knuckles and angry blue eyes

Rudra :WHO ARE YOU ? HOW CAN YOU ENTER MY HOUSE LIKE THAT, I AM GOING TO CALL THE POLICE BUT NOT BEFORE KILLING YOU FOR YOUR ACTION

Shivaay looked at him angrily not caring of all his threats then he looked around as if he expecting Anika to come out

Shivaay: ANIKA ....ANIKA

Then he just ran towards the room that have the small window she jumped through when he walked her home assuming it's her room and he just passed beside Rudra with no care but he saw the shivering woman holding on the door handle as if her life depend on it and he assumed that Anika must be locked there

Shivaay in scary tone : get away from my way, woman

Bhabhi looked with wide terrified eyes then looked at Rudra who didn't come to her aid and stood there and she just looked at Shivaay angry eyes then moved away from the door and stood beside her husband

as Shivaay looked at the door for a moment and for the first time since he entered this house, he felt actually terrified to turn the handle, he was scared from what he can see, but he closed his eyes and took a deep breath and opened the door, hoping he will see Anika standing there and angry from his action saying it was unnecessary and rude, but he opened the door and didn't see her, his eyes just fall on the nailed window, he looked at it shocked for a second then he noticed on the floor cloth everywhere and small suitcase just opened and thrown there, his heart bound fiercely in fear , she was planning to run away with him, but didn't make it, he took a step forward inside the room and that when he noticed a tiny dark red hand tied to the leg of the bed

His breath stopped, his eyes widen and he couldn't help the gasp that came out of his throat, his legs felt nailed to floor, it was so heavy to move them, dreading he will see it's her, but every cell in his brain told him, "yes its ,ANIKA" , he slowly forced his legs to move near the tied red hands and He prayed that she will be okay, but what he saw was far from the word " okay " meaning

The girl that he was barely recognizing from all the bruises in her face before , is now not recognizable at all, and she was just lying on the floor, lifeless and blood covering her whole body and her hand tied to the leg of the bed

Shivaay shocked :Anika ?

Then he ran to her and sat on the floor beside her and put her head on his lap and without thinking he started to wipe blood from her face with his shirt sleeve ..

However, even after removing the blood. He couldn't see her features.

(She can't be alive, she is dead )he thought of that terrifying thought then he felt her pulse with his finger and that when he started to breath, he didn't notice he stopped breathing Since he saw her like that.

Shivaay: Anika wake up. Anika please wake up. I am so sorry..

Then he looked at her brother and her brother's wife who were just standing on the door entry and he screamed ..

Shivaay : YOU ANIMALS ..YOU MERCILESS ANIMALS

Then he looked around him and found a glass of water on the nightstand , he grabbed it and put some of the water on his hand and wiped Anika's face with it .

Shivaay :ANIKA , WAKE UP (then he shook her body and said) OPEN YOUR EYES , please ..Please

Anika opened her eyes faintly only to see his worried blue eyes that crowded with tears the minute it met hers as he smiled and said ..

Shivaay : Thank god ..Thank god, you are going to be okay, I promise

Anika took a moment to assimilate to her surrounding then she looked at him and the minute she recognized him, she smiled as much as she can ..

Anika faintly: Shivaay ?you..d...didn't go.

Shivaay: No, we will both go from here I promise.

Rudra: Anika is not going anywhere with you, get out of my house, now

Anika looked at Rudra who was looking at her with angry teary eyes and she shook her head with terrified eyes to Shivaay and said in low tone

Anika faintly: Shivaay, please Go It won't work. He won't let me go...just go

Shivaay strictly: he has no choice...either I am leaving with you or I am not leaving

Anika smiled with words as Shivaay untied her hands and she fall on his lap from tiredness as the only thing supported her was the ropes and Shivaay started to Rub her hand and tears streamed from her eyes and not from the pain that she felt all over body but from his kindness and care that she thought she will never know their touch again.

Rudra: LEAVE HER NOW.

And Shivaay couldn't help it and he didn't feel himself till he was beating Rudra red and blue and both the ladies scream for him to stop but he didn't, he couldn't. Then he held the rope that he tied Anika's hands with and wrapped it around Rudra's neck and started chocking him.

Shivaay: tell me one reason why I shouldn't kill you for what you did to my wife?

Bhabhi: YOUR WIFE?

Anika faintly : Shivaay...do ..not .. He is my brother.

Shivaay looked at her and said: why is he your brother? What has he done for you to say he is your brother?

Anika faintly: Shivaay , please ..You will go to jail, I don't have anyone in the world but you.

Shivaay stopped chocking him as Rudra started gasping for breath and Shivaay carried her off the floor over his arms and she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned the side of her face on his chest as his white shirt was now covered with her blood and his bloody hand held on her tight while he started walking out of the room

but Bhabhi ran and blocked his way and he stopped as she screamed to Rudra who was sitting on the floor taking his breath

Bhabhi : YOU WILL LET HER GO ,RUDRA ?

Anika opened her eyes and looked at Rudra with teary eyes as he looked at her with teary eyes as well and it was the first time she sees their eyes have the same look and he nodded and said

Rudra: yes , I will let her go if she wants to go

Anika smiled widely with words then slept from her tiredness on Shivaay's arms ,leaving his neck as his arms became her only support

Shivaay looked at her then he took a deep breath and walked with her out of the house, in steady steps with strict angry face that was not seeing anyone or caring for anyone but her, he passed between the crowd of village people who gathered in front of the house hearing the fight and now were just gossiping and whispering to each other looking at him carrying Anika out, and getting away from his way as he just walked with her till he reached To his house

he put Anika on his shoulder then opened the door and entered then closed the door shut with his foot in the face of the village people who walked behind him and gathered in front of his house.

he put Anika unconscious body on the couch and his face soften and his eyes got crowded with tears again seeing her condition, how can people be so cruel on that innocent girl ?And why he feels strong feelings towards her ? Why he feels his heart will stop if something happened to her ?

Anika moaned in pain and that took him out of his thoughts and he wiped his tears fast and smiled to her as she opened her eyes faintly and looked at him

Shivaay: you are in my house, no one can hurt you now..(then he nodded and said) I will go get you a doctor, you are going to be okay, Anika

But before he goes away she held his hand with all her strength and said in low tone ..

Anika: can you just get me a cotton and antiseptic for wounds, if you have any? but do not go

Shivaay looked at her then he swallowed and said in low tone..

Shivaay: are you sure? Maybe your bones are broken or ..

Anika: No, I am fine I promise .. It's not my first time.

Shivaay: but it will be your last, I promise.. I will marry you now if you are able to perform the marriage ceremony and in the morning we will go from here.. We missed the train now

Anika smiled and said: thank you, I will never forget what you did for me, I will be forever grateful

Shivaay smiled and looked at her as she nodded faintly and he said ..

Shivaay : I will just go and get the medicine for your wounds

Anika nodded faintly as he went away and she sat straight and moaned in pain touching her lower rip and he came fast and pulled a chair and sat in front of her and said ..

Shivaay : where I should apply the ...

But she smiled and took the cotton and filled it with antiseptic then for his surprise she pulled his hand and started patting on his knuckle's wounds instead of hers, and he felt speechless and numb as she smiled faintly while doing so

Anika: I thought you left like you said you will, but you didn't

Shivaay nodded and said : I should have left but instead I just kept waiting in front of your house and missed the train .till I heard your scream and I had to see if you are okay, I had too

Anika smiled and nodded : I can perform the marriage ceremony, if you are still willing to marry me tonight

After few hours, Anika became legally and in front of god Shivaay's wife. They had to marry in the same day as she will stay in his house for the night. He locked the house door and he walked her to the bed room and she looked at him nervously as he smiled and said

Shivaay : Do not worry, you will sleep here, and I will go sleep on the couch outside

Anika: I am so sorry Shivaay for all this

Shivaay: will you stop apologizing? Just take some rest, you need to rest because we will go tomorrow

Anika: ok I am sorry.. I won't apologize again

Shivaay : you just did by the way

Anika : I did ? ..I didn't notice, sorry

Shivaay looked at her surprised as she covered her lips and both chuckled but she whimpered in pain and he said worried

Shivaay : are you ok, dear ?

Anika looked at him and said: Yes ..Yes, I am fine

(Did he just call me dear?)She thought as she sat on the bed and looked at him as he brought a bag filled with medicine for her wound and put it beside her and said ..

Shivaay : you want me to apply them to your wounds ?

Anika shook her head and said : I will, thank you

Shivaay nodded and was about to go but she stopped him by saying ..

Anika : why you came to my life, Shivaay ?

Shivaay stopped and looked at her for a moment then smiled and said

Shivaay: have some rest

Anika smiled and nodded then leaned on the bed and he covered her with a bed sheet and she smiled and said as she closed her eyes ..

Anika: I am just glad you came and Now I am your wife, I am a wife (yawn) Good night, Shivaay

Shivaay smiled as she slept smiling without caring by even her question which he didn't answer. However, he himself didn't know the answer or can explain his actions , he just touched her black hair and smiled faintly then he closed his eyes and kissed her head and whispered ..

Shivaay : tomorrow will be better, I promise

And he went outside the room and closed the door behind as Anika smiled in her sleep, "tomorrow will be better " she feels that
