Chapter 5

Shivaay couldn't sleep all night, for some reason whenever he fall asleep, he wake up minutes later and he look at the ceiling for seconds trying to sooth the sudden heart ache and worry he never felt like before, but he can't !!! Not until he get off the couch and enter his room and have a look at Anika who was sleeping peacefully on his bed, then he sigh in relief and return back to have few other minutes of sleep before waking up again and doing exactly the same

That was his night routine till the sun rise and he opened his eyes with the first ray of light entered through the living room window.

And he again looked at the ceiling for seconds and in those seconds he thought that if someone a day ago told him he will wake up today as a husband of a girl he didn't know her" last name " but few hours ago , he would have convinced him to admit himself to an asylum, but here he is !! A husband and Anika is his wife.

He took a deep breath then got off the couch and went towards his bedroom to make sure she is okay, he opened the door slowly and looked at bed, but...

She wasn't there!!!

His eyes widen and his heart fall, he turned on the room light and looked around but she was not there.

He looked everywhere but again she wasn't anywhere, many bad thoughts hunted his head in this minute, her brother took her when he was a sleep and she was so tired to fight ? No it can't be, he would have felt if someone entered his house !!! Maybe she ran away because she does not fully trust him ? No , it can't be , he is her husband now, why would she marry him if she don't trust him !! Then where she is ? How she just got out ?

Shivaay: ANIKA

And he opened the house door and looked around , maybe she is just sitting outside !!! But again she wasn't there ..He looked around the house, but she wasn't anywhere around

Shivaay:ANIKAAA..

And he returned back to the house and sat on his small dinner table and held his head in frustration, feeling he will go mad, she left ? What was she thinking? And why he is so worried? If she ran away then it's her choice, why he bothers?! He did what he can do for her, but no, it can't be !! What was she thinking? What if something happen to her ? How can he live with the idea and not care ? How ?

He took a deep breath and went to the kitchen to have a glass of water, feeling his blood boil and his head is going to burst from thinking, he entered the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water only to close it back even before reaching for the water as he noticed from beside the refrigerator, just between the refrigerator and the wall ,the tip of a loaf of bread as if it's just flying in the air!! he took a second feeling confused then he smiled widely and looked just beside the refrigerator

Only to find Anika sitting in the tiny space between the refrigerator and the wall and in her hand a big loaf of bread that she ate few bites of its bottom and on her lap a handful of grapes as her head just leaning on the side of the refrigerator in a deep sleep that took her from even completing her meal

He chuckled faintly and approached near her and looked at her for a minute, how innocent she is ? How beautiful even if he can't see her outer beauty from under the wounds and bruises but her inner beauty is so clear, she is really beautiful

He closed his eyes and touched her silky black hair and that when her eyes opened faintly and he took his hand away fast before she notice his touch and just stood there with a poker face as she looked at him then opened her eyes wide and looked at the food she was still holding then she bit her lower lip shyly, and smiled a shivery smile offering him the loaf of bread

Anika : Good morning Shivaay, you want some of your bread ?

Shivaay raised an eyebrow as she swallowed and then held one of the grapes and offered it to him ..

Anika: a grape ? It's also yours!

Shivaay couldn't help it and chuckled faintly and helped her up and she took a hold of the grapes and the bread as she was pulled up and bit her lower lip shyly looking down

Shivaay : what were you doing here ?!!!

Anika : I felt hungry so I thought you won't mind

Shivaay : yes, I kind of assumed that ..I am just wondering why you didn't sit at the dinner table instead!

Anika : oh (then she chuckled faintly and said) I was shy from you

Shivaay nodded faintly and said ..

Shivaay : you absolutely right to feel that, I mean what kind of a person who eats when feels hungry?!!! I will for sure misjudge you seeing that

Anika eyes widen and looked at the bread then said unsure

Anika : you are being sarcastic, right?

Shivaay chuckled faintly and nodded and she smiled in relief as he opened the refrigerator and got out a plate of cheese and more bread and said ..

Shivaay : may I join you for breakfast , if you don't mind ?

Anika smiled widely and said teasingly: well, you are my husband, aren't you ?

And she took the plates from his hand and went outside to the dinner table as his smile lessened and took a deep breath then pulled more plates of food from the refrigerator and closed the door of the refrigerator by his foot and went to the dinner table where Anika was eating hungrily and the minute she saw him coming she stopped eating and chewed slowly what was in her mouth and he smiled faintly to her and joined her then pulled a loaf of a bread and took a huge bite just to not make her feel shy anymore and she chuckled faintly and ate freely and then she said ..

Anika : so when we will go from here?

Shivaay : I will just go after minutes and book tickets for the first train to Mumbai ..We will leave as soon as possible

Anika nodded faintly and said : okay, but do you have to go ?

Shivaay looked at her and said: are you scared to stay alone?

Anika shook her head and smiled: no, not really .(then she took a deep breath and said)..I am worried on you, Shivaay

Shivaay eyes widen in shock as she nodded and said ..

Anika : just take care of yourself till we get out of here, you probably know that Veer and what he can do, but you don't know Surya and my brother ..You don't know what they can do to us

Shivaay strictly: I am not scared from them

Then for her surprise he held her hand and her body tingle with his touch as he said ..

Shivaay strictly : I will do whatever it takes to make sure no one will ever hurt you again , Anika ..Even if I have to face all this village not just your brother and that Surya

Anika looked at his hand that held on her hand as he smiled to her and squeezed on her hand ..

Shivaay strictly: you are going to be okay, you should trust my words

Anika nodded and said : I trust your words

Shivaay strictly: great, now I will have my grape

Anika chuckled in surprise and gave him the grape and he took it with raised eyebrow and fake strict face and then he chuckled to her and waved goodbye and pulled his wallet in his way out of the door and the minute he got out Anika ran and looked from the window on him going and didn't notice she was putting her hand over her heart till she couldn't see him anymore and he vanished

Then she sighed and closed her eyes for a moment to calm herself then she sat on the couch and that when she noticed her reflection in the mirror that was hanged on the wall in front of the couch

Her dress was covered with her own blood and there was dry blood all over her skin ..She looked like a dead body !!How can she get out like that? And she has absolutely nothing else but the dress she is wearing and she can't return to her brother's house and take her cloth from there, what should she do ?

Anika bit her thumb nail as she thought of what can she do then she looked outside the window and thought that one of Shivaay's neighbors might help her and lend her a dress or something to wear . after all, they all here are a family or that what she thought !!

So she opened the door and went towards the next house and knocked faintly on the door and the door opened and a woman looked at her with wide eyes seeing her appearance as she smiled faintly and said ..

Anika : aunty, I was wondering if you can lend me ..

But for her surprise Surya's mother came from behind the woman and looked at Anika with shocked wide eyes that soon turned to angry ones as Anika stood frozen looking at the woman

Surya's mother: this is the girl I told you about, Anisa ..I don't know how she got the nerve to show her face to us

The woman nodded and looked at Anika disgusted as Anika just sigh in pain and turned to return back to the house as Surya's mother and the women started to gossip and whisper loudly with the neighbors that just opened the door and came from the window to have a look at Anika as Anika felt every word she heard or not from their talk stabbing her heart, she felt she just want to run and hide behind the walls from their judging eyes

so she just ran towards the door and held her tears from flowing on her cheek but instead of going through the door, she hit Shivaay's chest with a thud and suddenly everyone became silent and the gossip sounds stopped, she looked up at Shivaay who wrapped his hand around her tight and looked at the open doors that was looking at them and he whispered to Anika

Shivaay :are you okay ?

Anika nodded faintly as he nodded and said..

Shivaay : let's give them a last thing to talk about before we go

And for her surprise he carried her over his arms and smiled widely and said in a highly audible tone ..

Shivaay : don't you think I will let your feet touch the ground, my dear wife

Anika looked at him in shock as he smiled widely to her and shocked her more by his next action

He closed his eyes and pressed his lips over her lips !!

Her eyes widen in disbelief as the people that were gossiping before now looked shocked and some envious and angrily like Surya's mother who entered back to her friend house and pulled her shocked friend in and closed the door

As Shivaay raised his lips from hers and she looked at him with wide eyes and he smiled to her then to everyone who was still looking shocked, and he entered back to the house while carrying her and closed the door with his foot and put Anika down as she pressed her fingers on her lips and looked at him for explanation

Shivaay : I am sorry by the way, I just promised you that no one will hurt you again and I couldn't think of other way to stop their talks and fulfill my promise

Anika smiled a shivery smile and nodded and without thinking while pressed her hands over her blushed cheek as he smiled and said ..

Shivaay : I thought there is no way you can clean the blood off your dress, so before I go I bought for you a new dress to wear, a towel and a tooth brush. I think that all what you need to get ready

And he gave her a bag and she smiled widely as he said ..

Shivaay: they are not much , they are just from the shop at the end of the street and the shop had no dresses other than that, so I am sorry if it's a bad taste. But I do not know what kind of a shop was that ..They had the dress just beside a ball of cheese (then he raised an eyebrow and said) do you need cheese, by the way? Because the shop is just at the end of the street

Anika chuckled and shook her head hard as he smiled to her and said ..

Shivaay: okay then ..Oh and it's better not to come out of the house now, we are leaving anyway in few hours ..Okay?

Anika nodded as he smiled and went back outside the house and she covered her lips that she still feeling his lips touches over then she chuckled shyly and looked inside the bag then she hugged the bag as if it's the most precious gift she ever had and she entered to the bathroom in order to take a shower.

After an hour ..

Shivaay returned back to the house with the tickets and looked at the closed bathroom, hearing the shower sound ..he smiled faintly and went towards his room and pulled his already packed suit case over the bed and opened it to make sure he didn't forget anything but as he looking his eyes fall on the photo album between his few books, he looked at it sadly and touched the hard cover then closed his eyes and whispered ..

Shivaay : Mumbai !! Again

And he closed his eyes and sigh then closed the suit case and got lost in his pain for seconds but got out of his sad thoughts fast by hearing Anika singing "a happy song" so loudly and his eyes widen and held his chuckle as Anika entered the room not noticing that he is standing there as she was drying her long black wet hair with the towel and for his surprise she was wearing his shirt only as her long legs all showed and she kept singing and swaying then move her hair from side to side on the rhyme ..As Shivaay just said a loud..

Shivaay :AHEM

Anika eyes widen then turned back and seeing him she gasped and took a cover of the bed sheet and said ..

Anika: I am sorry , I didn't know you are here and I had to give the dress a quick wash because it smelled like cheese and I couldn't find another thing to wear till it dries so I wear your shirt and ...

Shivaay interrupted: relax , nothing happened , it's okay (then he smiled and said) I was going to leave this shirt behind anyway , I never liked it (then he smiled and said) but now I think its looks really nice

Anika swallowed then she smiled a shivery smile and said ..

Anika : I will just go wear the dress , so we can go. Sorry again

Shivaay smiled and nodded as Anika shyly entered back to the bathroom then after minutes as Shivaay was waiting for her she opened the door and Shivaay looked at her and smiled widely as she walked slowly towards him

She was wearing a blue chiffon dress that didn't look as good when it was on the hanger as it looked on her , with her shiny black hair all on one side and her shy eyes that was waiting for his reaction

Anika : I look ridiculous right?

Shivaay smiled widely and said : it's not just an inner beauty

Anika looked at his eyes and he looked to hers then they both skipped each other eyes .

Shivaay: I mean ..Ahem ...it's lovely... you look lovely.

Anika shyly: great , I think we are ready to go, right?

Shivaay nodded and looked around as she looked around as well and said ..

Anika : I don't have anyone here to say goodbye to before I leave, what about you ? do you have anyone you want to say good bye to before you go ?

Shivaay smiled faintly and said : the only person I care for here, is the one I am taking with me

Anika smiled widely with his kind words that she didn't know that he really meant every letter of it ,as he smiled to her and left the keys of the house on the table then held her hand and both went out of the door and never looked back.

After 30 minutes they both reached to the train station and found out that the train has already started to move so Shivaay pulled Anika and they both ran behind the train as fast as they can. And the moment he reached to the door he raised her by her waist to the door and she held on the poll beside the door and got on the train then she looked at him waiting for him to jump to the train and the moment he did, she hugged him tightly which surprised him.

Anika: I thought we will never go out of the village . I was too scared something will stop us...thank god, thank god

Shivaay closed his eyes and tighten his grip on her and whispered..

Shivaay : We are out. We are out
