Chapter 23

Anika opened her eyes on the sound of the scream and she flinched and shook Shivaay

Anika: Shivaay, Shivaay wake up, shivaaaaay

Shivaay opened his eyes as Anika looked at him terrified..

Anika : someone is screaming and crying

Shivaay : are you sure you are not dreaming ?

(OH GOD , MY BEAUTIFUL WORK IS RUINED ..AAAH , WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ME ...POOR , POOR ME )

Shivaay : that is my annoying brother from the penthouse being a drama king like everyone here , go back to sleep

(POOR ,POOR ME ..IF ONLY I HAVE A BHABHI WHO CAN HELP ME )

Anika bit her thumb nail and said : Shivaay I will go see what is wrong with him

Shivaay nodded faintly as she rubbed her eyes and rode the elevator and pressed for the roof and got up the few stairs then knocked on the glass door and seeing Omkara sitting on the floor holding his head , she knocked harder .

Anika worried : Omkara ?!!!! Omkara ?!!

Omkara smirked as he was giving his back to her and sneakily put eye drops in his eyes then looked at Anika sadly and opened the door for her and said dramatically

Omkara : Bhabhi ? I am in a deep trouble , I ruined everything

Anika looked at the clock and it was 3 am ..And she nodded and said ..

Anika : okay tell me so I can see if I can help ?

Omkara : that dress , I ruined it ..Look

Anika looked at the dress over the manikin and it was a mess ..The sleeves tailored not in place and the embroidery was all wrong and the needlework was a nightmare ,even there was a burning at the end of the dress !!!!!!!..It was not believable at all that a dress can be like that ?!! It looked to her as if it’s intentionally ruined !!!!!

Anika swallowed and said : how this happened ?

Omkara : can you help me please ? !!!!

Anika swallowed and said : okay (then she smiled and said) at least we have the machines here , it will make it easier

Omkara looked at the machines and shook his head ..

Omkara: ohh Bhabhi ..the machines ...ahem all not working ...you have to handwork them then

Anika eyes widen and said : ohhh ..that is a problem , it’s too much work

Omkara : oh god , I am ruined ..I ..

Anika: no , no don't worry ..I will do it , I need scissors and needles and threads and If you have the fabric and if you don't , no worry ..I will just shorten it a little and add chiffon at the end

Omkara smirked and gave her what she asked and watched , and Anika in seconds was working and by just the needle and her white small teeth she got the threads out of the sleeves and put the sleeves in the right place then smiled kindly to Omkara ..

Anika : I can make it don't worry

Omkara looked at her fascinated , she is talented by all means , she didn't even freak out from a crises , it is his job to make the designer product but the designer should be able to create the dress himself and Anika not only able to design the dresses and create them , she also able to fix others designs and save ruined work , by all means she is a head designer

Omkara : Bhabhi , where did you study ? I studied in London , I was never able to do design work but I am the best at creating them , the fabric in my hand is like dough. What about you?

Anika shyly : oh , I never studied anything Omkara ..I left school at 7th grade and stayed at home and became good in cooking , cleaning and serving

Omkara shook his head with wide smile and said : amazing ..

Anika looked at him confused , she just was telling him , she didn't study nor achieved anything and he is saying " amazing " she didn't know that all what he heard was " I am naturally talented "

Omkara :then who taught you that ?

Anika smiled widely and said: my father , he was the village's tailor , he taught me everything I knew and from age of 12 I started to make my own dresses , and my brother's cloth and Bhabhi’s too ..as much as I can

Omkara smiled and said : oh Bhabhi , it’s amusing when the gem don't see how bright she is !!! right?

Anika smiled and nodded as he looked at her hand that was threading so beautifully , she is passing his second test with flying colors

Anika looked at him with faint smile and said : Omkara ? can I ask you something ..

Omkara nodded as she smiled and said

Anika : Veer is your brother !!! the one that your name is like his , yet you stood with Shivaay and me against him and Although Mr. Tej is the one who adopted you , you call him Mr. Tej and not father so I was wondering ..!!!

Omkara eyes widen and swallowed and she looked at him with wide eyes too and said ..

Anika : you don't have to tell me anything !!! I was just

Omkara : it’s okay Bhabhi , I want to tell you ...my life in the orphanage wasn't really something I want to remember , I lived there 10 years of my life till Mr. Tej chose me and I was Veer 's birthday gift (then he chuckled and said) Mr. Tej can get his son anything , and he wished for a brother to play with and it was me ...that is why Veer think he can't want something and not get it ..

Anika smiled faintly and nodded as he added ..

Omkara :then I became a Singh Oberoi , but after a while ..he just got bored of torturing me and wanted something new , a new gift , and didn't even stand the idea of my existence in the same house and wanted me back to the orphanage where I belong , I won't deny it ..I really couldn't imagine returning back there and losing the feeling of the home , but I already became a Singh Oberoi so Mr. Tej thought to give me to one of the servant to take care of me in exchange for some money ..that easily without thinking twice so he won’t annoy dear Veer but uncle Shakti refused that ..he said I am a family and Although uncle Shakti is the younger brother he take the responsibility of every mistake of the family ..and I was one of his brother’s mistakes !!!!

Anika smiled faintly and said : I am sure it wasn’t like that for him .. he really loves you and considers you his son

Omkara smiled and said : god knows how much I love him too ,he is the only father I know ....anyway he took me to his mansion and raised me with Shivaay bhai and Priyanka. I won’t say I expected to live in heaven , I was so terrified Shivaay bhai will do to me like Veer did especially that Veer always was intimidated by him so I thought he must be scary (then he chuckled ) but Shivaay bhai treated me like his own blood. He equaled me to Priyanka ...and whenever Veer tried to hurt me , he stood in front of him (then he smiled faintly and said) sometimes I feel he forgot that I am adopted (then he chuckled and said) I forgot I am adopted ,this is the only family I know ...I came to this world to be a Singh Oberoi

Anika smiled and said : yes , I feel like that too. We are so lucky

Omkara teasingly: but the Singh Oberoi's are lucky to have us too , right ?

Anika teasingly: totally!! ..we are the best !!!

Omkara : okay , now since you are the best , can I ask you for another favor ?

Anika swallowed and said : I am kind of not finished with this favor yet and I am so sleepy

Omkara nodded and said : oh it’s nothing ..it just poor Gauri destroyed some of Daksh’s best designs , so if you can re-draw them that will be great ..otherwise the girl has to face his wrath

Anika : but Shivaay said that the head designer is leaving and ...

Omkara : oh Bhabhi ..the designs are his work , he won’t hurt her in the office but he will sure sue her or something and I can’t draw even a single line ..oh the poor girl

Anika swallowed and felt guilt and said ..

Anika : I think I can do something in that !!

Omkara smiled and said : great

and he put a pile of ruined designs , stack of blank white paper , pencils , colors and a rubber

Anika looked at the papers and said ..

Anika : but nothing is clear !!!!

Omkara : oh then just imagine how you think the dress can look like and draw...it don't have to be the same , in fact...

and he took the ruined designs and said ..

Omkara : just finish this stack of papers , draw whatever designs as you want ..men , women , children ..spring , winter , summer ...beach ,club ..whatever theme you imagine , even if it was princess dresses

Anika : and how this will help Gauri?!!!!

Omkara : oh ...Gauri ..hmmm...just draw and we will see about Gauri later

Anika nodded confused and looked at the stack of paper and nodded ...

in the morning ..

Shivaay woke up and looked everywhere in the mansion but found no trace for Anika , it was only the pent house what was left , he went to the pent house and for his surprise he found Anika sleeping on the floor between a pile of paper and Omkara sitting on a chair with half-filled cup of coffee beside him

Shivaay eyes widen and said : Anika ? dear?

Anika opened her eyes and her eyes widen knowing she fall asleep and took the pencil in her hand and Shivaay stopped her ..

Shivaay: what are you doing ?

Anika :I ...I was helping Omkara and Gauri ...he ruined a dress and he was going to get fired ..

Shivaay shook his head in disbelief and carried her and said ...

Shivaay : both working for me, Anika , he was just being a drama king , I told you about him

Anika leaned on his chest and put her arms around his neck and said ..

Anika : I have to wake up , I have to eat breakfast with you and then I have to take a shower and ....

then she fall asleep on his arms and he shook his head in disbelief then tighten his eyes to sleeping Omkara in anger .

then he took her to the 3rd floor and to the bathroom and put her on his shoulder then filled the tub with warm water , bath salt and perfumes , then carefully opened the zipper of her dress and slide the dress off her body then her undergarment and she moaned and said in sleepy tone

Anika : Shivaay ? what are you doing ?

Shivaay whispered : helping you ..you are very tired .

and he put her in the tub and she opened her eyes faintly as he took his shirt off and sat on the edge of the tub and put some shampoo on his hands and massaged her hair and she smiled widely as he smiled back to her

Anika : now I wish if I am tired every single morning !!

Shivaay smiled and cupped water with his hand to wash her face and hair ...

Shivaay : you don't have to be tired so I can spoil you , you just ask and I will be under your service Mrs. Singh Oberoi anytime

Anika held some of the foam on her hand and blow them and they hit his neck and she chuckled as he shook his head ..

Shivaay : thanks for that , what is that means ?

Anika : your words are like the soap bubbles Mr. Singh Oberoi , it don't last long , now you are telling me ask you whenever I want to be spoiled but that probably will be impossible since you will be the vice president for the famous Oberoi fashion and I will be here at home and you won’t even get time to see me

Shivaay smile vanished and said : that will be terrible (then he shook his head and said) no , that won’t happen , because when I am in office I will put your picture on my desk and will call you and hear your voice looking at your beautiful face

then he took some of the water and put it on her head and she chuckled ..

Shivaay : then I will come home as fast as I can , just to look at you for hours and hours

Anika smiled faintly as he touched her wet face with his finger and said ...

Shivaay : how can I handle not seeing those beautiful black eyes

Anika looked at him then smiled shyly as he pulled a sponge and held two bottles of shower gel and said ..

Shivaay : lavender or roses fragrance?

Anika : lavender , please .

Shivaay took a moment then filled the sponge with roses fragrance and said

Shivaay : it's the better one , trust me

Anika shook her head and said ..

Anika : then why you ask me ? god , you are very stubborn , I am just glad I am not an employee of yours , Mr. vice president

Shivaay chuckled and said : how can I handle a beautiful employee like you Mrs. Singh Oberoi ?!!! Give me your arm !!

Anika gave him her arm and he rubbed it as she said ..

Anika : I will really miss you Shivaay

Shivaay teasingly :thinking about it ,I won’t miss you!!!!

Anika frowned and sprayed some of the water on him and he covered his face ..

Anika : really nice , Shivaay

Shivaay chuckled and said : don't start a war you can’t finish (then he smiled and said ) I mean how can I miss you when you are always in front of my eyes even if I close them and my heart beats says your name , listen ".doom, ANIKA ,doom , doom,ANIKA "

Anika frowned and said : you love to scare me

And she got out of the tub angrily and he said with wide smile

Shivaay : I was just joking ,beautiful

Anika smiled evilly and for his surprise she pushed him inside the tub and he gasped and fall in the water as she chuckled but for her surprise he didn't come up from under the foam , only his arms what was showing and a scary thought came to her mind , he might hit his head and fainted

Anika : OH GOD , SHIVAAAAY..NO , NO ..I am sorry

and she tried to pull him out put for her surprise he pulled her in and she screamed as the water splashed all over the bathroom and she gasped as he raise his head and chuckled then hugged her .

Shivaay : apparently I like to scare you

Anika frowned as he hugged her to his chest and kissed her angry lips then he smelled her hair and said ...

Shivaay : god , I love Anika 's smell

Anika frowned and said : it's the roses shower gel , not my smell

Shivaay raised an eyebrow and said : and how the roses smell like ?

Anika frown vanished and said : like Anika?

He nodded and kissed her head and she leaned between his arms and sighed as she deepens her head in his chest .

After an hour ..

Omkara was smiling faintly as he sleeping deeply upside down on his chair , but for his surprise a cold shower of water got thrown over his head and he gasped and looked at Shivaay with wide eyes as Shivaay said sarcastically

Shivaay : wake up sleeping beauty , it’s almost 9 am

Omkara yawned then he smiled widely and said ..

Omkara : good morning bhai ..Is the breakfast ready ?

Shivaay pinned his shoulder to his chair and said ..

Shivaay :one question , I will ask calmly ...why are you torturing my wife and using her kind heart?

Omkara chuckled nervously and said : me ? Oh ..I was ..ahem ..in a trouble and she helped me , I ruined my work

Shivaay shook his head and said : and why you think I will put you in trouble i***t , I am your boss ...oh right I forgot , you are waiting to know who is the head designer you will work under

Omkara smiled and said : oh ,I have to say my decision about this on the breakfast table

Shivaay rolled his eyes and said : god , you are a drama king just like our father

Omkara smiled faintly as Shivaay sighed and said ..

Shivaay : anyway , you said " maybe " you found a head designer ?

Omkara : yes , but before I tell you who !!! I am putting this person under some tests ..so I can be sure before wasting your time , boss

Shivaay patted on his shoulder and said : great idea ,that is Singh Oberoi

(Shivaay ? Omkara ?..we are waiting for you on the breakfast table)

Shivaay and Omkara looked at Anika who was smiling to them with her wet hair covering her shoulders..

Omkara : you go bhai , I will wash my face then come

Shivaay looked at Omkara wet face and chuckled then nodded and took Anika out as Omkara ran to the designs Anika draw and seeing them he shook his head in disbelief ..

Omkara : unbelievable !!!Daksh is a student in front of this work !!!!!

then he wiped his face and got out of the penthouse and down stairs to the dinner table but for his surprise he found everyone there except Priyanka and they were standing shocked in front of the dinner table and coming closer , he stood shocked as well , finding Tej sitting on Shakti's chair and eating breakfast .

Tej looked at Shakti , Anika , Omkara and Shivaay one by one then he smiled and said ..

Tej : don't be that shocked , you thought I can’t get in?

Shakti frowned and said : get out , Tej ..you have no brother in this house and you defiantly not welcomed

Tej’s smile vanished and said : who said I came for you Shakti , I came for my son

Shakti : Omkara is not your son , he is my son

Tej : I am not talking about the ungrateful boy ..I am talking about Shivaay

Shakti eyes widen and looked at Shivaay shocked as Shivaay said ..

Shivaay strictly: I am my father's son

Tej : since when ? since he left you to get out of here with the cloth on your back and I took you and gave you a job and shelter (then he frowned and said ) how can you be that ungrateful Shivaay ?!!!

Shakti : YOU CAME HERE TO TRY TO TURN MY SON AGAINST ME

Tej : NO , Shakti ..I came here to say few words to each of you and finish some issues and remind everyone of Veer and what you all did to him

Shivaay : actually every one of us has his own pain that was caused by Veer and it’s time for him to get what he deserves

Shakti : sit down children , this might take long

all took a chair and Anika chose to sit as far as possible from Tej as Shakti said ..

Shakti : listen carefully Tej , I can feel your pain , I really can but if you will blame anyone for what happen to Veer , then you should blame yourself and no one else. You should have been stricter

Tej chuckled and said sarcastically : of course you will say that , your son is the perfect man who didn't rape Ragini but what you don't know Shakti , that (then he looked at Shivaay) everything started from Shivaay , have he told you that he beat Veer NEARLY TO DEATH AND I GOT HIM OUT OF THE PRISON

everyone looked shocked at Shivaay who took a deep breath and patted on Anika 's hand

Tej : and all that for what ? for a girl !!!! a girl that Veer wanted to marry but your dear son beat him and ran away with her (then he looked at Anika with disgust ) she fooled the two boys

Shakti screamed in Anger and tried to punch him but Shivaay held his arm

Shivaay : it’s okay papa , it’s okay

Shakti sat down boiling as Shivaay said ..

Shivaay : I ...

Anika : I will talk Shivaay

Shivaay looked at her as she said strictly ..

Anika : I never was your son's fiancé , I was a fiancé for another man who refused to marry me after your son attempted to rape me

Omkara gasped as Tej face turned red and Anika said ..

Anika : and if it weren't for Shivaay ....(then she closed her eyes and said) and after all that your son didn't even leave me in peace and Shivaay had to marry me to save me

Tej : YOU ARE A LIAR

Anika chuckled faintly as Shivaay added angrily

Shivaay : I am not to care for your opinion about me and Anika ..but you should know you just lost the last shred of respect I had for you when you said that about me and my wife

Tej for a second was taken by Shivaay’s last words then he smiled faintly and said ..

Tej : since there is no family anymore ..let’s talk business then ..the vice president and the head designer is now mine

Shakti smirked and said : I have my vice president and also a great head of tailoring department

and he looked at Omkara who smiled widely and nodded ..

Omkara : I am joining the Oberoi fashion and staying here in India from today forward

Tej frowned and felt his blood boiling as Shakti , Shivaay and Anika smiled widely

Tej : I AM YOUR FATHER , YOU UNGRATEFUL BOY

Omkara strictly: my father is the one who raised me

Tej : okay then ..what about the head designer ?

Shakti looked at Shivaay who looked at him back then he smiled and said ..

Shivaay : our head designer is a surprise

Tej nodded and said : good luck finding a head designer like Daksh

Shivaay strictly : even better!!!

Tej : okay what about the name " Oberoi " we can’t share the same brand name !!!!

Shakti angrily: the name is mine ..you go by name Singh all the time , name yours Singh then ..but this company , Oberoi fashion was created by my hands ..you are the one who entered my business not the other way around .

Tej : you still the same Shakti ..just like when you were a little kid fighting me on a toy (then he smirked and said) and I had to beat you up every time so you can learn the lesson of not trying taking anything from Tej Singh Oberoi .

Shakti screamed in anger and punched him in the chin and Shivaay held his hand as Anika whispered to herself with faint smile.

Anika : like father like son

Tej chuckled as he held his chin : okay ...you want the Oberoi name , the one we are famous for fine , let’s play (then he smirked and said) the spring collection is soon and Daksh already started designing the spring collection

Shakti frowned as Shivaay patted on his hand ..

Tej : so we will make a competition a blind voting , my collection against your head designer 's collection and who win ..will get the Oberoi name and we will make it officially .

Shakti held his breath as Omkara shook his head hard to Shivaay and Shakti

Shakti : DEAL

Omkara covered his face and looked between his fingers on Anika who was smiling faintly and really clueless of the pressure that was just put on her shoulder , she literally have to save the family name ..literally the name Oberoi is hers to win or lose

Tej smirked and got out as Shakti held his head and said ..

Shakti : I am ruined , if you don't find a head designer soon ...I am ruined

Shivaay looked at Omkara who shook his head and said..

Omkara : it’s not fair to put such responsibility on the head designer from the first days

Anika : and why so ? if he can’t handle the heat then he is not good enough ..you did right, papa

Omkara in warning tone : Bhabhi ?!!! are you sure ?

Shivaay :Anika is right , the head designer should be a miracle worker , all our jobs depend on him and if he can’t compete for the family name , then he don't deserve to work for Oberoi fashion

Omkara : bhai ?are you sure ?!!!

Priyanka got out of the elevator yawning and smiled ..

Priyanka : good morning , what I missed ?

everyone looked at her as Anika bent her head a side and said ..

Anika : are you wearing my dress ?

Priyanka smile vanished and chuckled nervously.

Priyanka : no , it’s not

and she ran from there as Anika shook her head and said ..

Anika : I swear she is wearing my shoes too

Shivaay : Omkara , come with me..Anika , make for me a cheese sandwich

Omkara nodded as they both entered the elevator and went to the pent house

Omkara : what is it bhai?

Shivaay : is there is really someone in your mind or not ..because I am the one who will be thrown under the bus if there is none

Omkara : okay , I don't think the head designer need more tests , each test I gave her , she passed it by flying color

Shivaay: her ?!!!(then he smiled and said ) a woman ?

Omkara nodded as Shivaay took a moment and said ..

Shivaay : English ?

Omkara : Indian girl , from a great family and her name will be addition to us , extremely talented ..look at her work

and he gave Shivaay the drawings and Shivaay looked at it and smiled faintly and touched the paper

Shivaay : amazing !! that is really amazing !!!! the colors and the designs .,very unique. Impressive

Omkara : look at this dress

and he showed him the once was ruined dress and showed him a picture of it ruined

Omkara : I made this dress as a test , completely ruined ..she did that in few hours

Shivaay : machine ?

Omkara smiled and said : by hand

Shivaay looked at the stitches and said : the job is hers

Omkara chuckled happily and said : really ?!!!

Shivaay : just let her say what salary she wants and my father agree on her and defiantly the job is hers (then he smiled and said) you have her number ?!!

Omkara shook his head in disbelief , Shivaay saw Anika between the papers and he can’t imagine it’s her ..?!!!!

Shivaay : give me her full name , I will talk to her right now

and he got his phone out but ..

(Shivaay ? you want cheese with tomato or cucumber.. )

Shivaay : anything you want , Anika ?(then he looked at Omkara) the number ?

Omkara : bhai !!!! you don't need a number ..

Anika smiled and said : what are you looking at ?

and she looked at the papers between his hand as Shivaay smiled to her and said ..

Shivaay : what you think ? impressive isn’t it?

Anika smiled and said : you think so ?, because I thought I should add a belt here and I think I should have drawn the straps on the shoulder more thinner

Shivaay took a moment then his eyes widen and looked at Omkara who nodded to him as Anika looked at the dress on the manikin and went towards it and cut a lose thread by her teeth then she smiled .

Anika : now it is perfect ..you don't have to worry again

Shivaay closed his eyes hard and shook his head in disbelief as Anika got out and Omkara went towards Shivaay

Omkara: bhai , breath !!

Shivaay took a deep breath then he looked at Omkara with wide eyes ..

Shivaay : Anika ? Anika is that talented girl ? my Anika?

Omkara : god , yes ..you have no idea and for my surprise neither does she. I put her under many tests , I worked her at dawn and I gave her tortures missions all night ..I even put her under pressure and ..

then he looked at Shivaay who was frowning in anger now and he smiled nervously and said ..

Omkara : I love Bhabhi ..I just wanted to make sure we have a head designer

Shivaay chuckled happily and said : god yes ,Anika is the head designer (then he looked at the papers and said) how didn't I know that something that beautiful , will only be created by her hands ..she is amazing (then he said proudly ) and she is my wife (then he took a deep breath and said ) now we have to convince her and papa. I wonder what he will say ?(then he chuckled and said)Anika will be my employee , my head designer

Omkara smiled and said : that is why I agreed to work under her hand , she is talented (then he smiled and said) you are so happy and amused that you forgot your anger on me for putting her under pressure and test , right?

Shivaay smiled widely as he looking at the designs and said ..

Shivaay : anger ? no thinking about it , it’s just too funny

Omkara : funny ?

Shivaay : yes , you tortured her like that and forgot that you will be her employee and under her mercy

Omkara smile vanished and his eyes widen

Omkara : oh god , she will be a designer ..(then he tightened his eyes and said) they are evil

Shivaay : and she is the head of them and my wife ....so good luck brother
