Chapter 22

the family of Shakti Singh Oberoi were all sitting on the dinner table in the time of lunch like always, but not waiting for their delicious meals and not expecting any soon, as in front of them was thousands of files that needed archiving and renewing and rewriting as Shakti was smirking and moving around them proud of himself and delighted with their misery!!!

Shakti: WORK, WORK, WORK

Shivaay moaned in frustration and said..

Shivaay : papa , people do this now by computers !!! We can just ..

Shakti : I am an old fashion man Mr. Shivaay ..I hate those machines that do work for you , and prevent me from making your life miserable for what you did to me , Can you imagine when I find that all my family went to fight with veer the maniac without even telling me ? ..No there is no responsibility in your raising , so here I am making you all understand what responsibility means !!!

Anika eyes widen and said: Shivaay , I swear the files in front of me don't end ...I ..

Then she looked beside her only to find Priyanka holding a file from her pile that she was about to add to Anika's pile

Anika : Piku !! That is evil

Omkara : ya totally

Then he smirked and dropped some of his files under Shivaay 's chair and said ..

Omkara : bhai , you keep dropping the files !!!

Shivaay moaned and took the files under his chair and added them to his pile ..

Shivaay : I am a vice president this is a work of a junior document controller

Shakti : yes , but you will start from Monday , so till now you are just an assistant to an assistant of a junior document controller. NOW WORK , WORK , WORK

All moaned in frustration as Omkara smirked and throw some of the files under Priyanka's chair but before he says anything ,Gauri who was standing beside his chair with a shy smile and her thick glasses , ran and took the files from under Priyanka 's chair and smiled to him

Gauri : Mr. Omkara , you dropped those

Omkara frowned and smiled an annoyed smile and said sarcastically

Omkara : oh , thanks Gauri

Gauri blushed and stood back beside his chair and Anika noticed the girl playing with end of her ponytail as she is day dreaming about Omkara ..She smiled and looked at Omkara who wasn't noticing anything !!! The girl has a crush on him its clear , too bad Omkara is leaving to London soon

Anika :Omkara ? I was wondering if you will be in India for the wedding?

Omkara : I will leave after the wedding Bhabhi , don't worry

Anika : and why to leave ? Why can’t you live with us ?

Every one put the file and looked at Omkara as if Anika asked the question they all wished to ask , Omkara swallowed and said ..

Omkara : well ....

Priyanka : please bhai , please

Gauri sadly : you are going ?

Omkara looked at her confused as Shakti bent and said to Shivaay ..

Shakti : tell him , tell him now , you promised me , remember the " Oberoi 's word"

Shivaay whispered : okay , okay (then he looked at Omkara and said) listen Omkara , I need you to be in my team and work with me in Oberoi fashion

Omkara : no , I can’t bhai , I can’t ..I have my whole life there ..Plus I can’t work under Tej and Veer or this head designer Daksh I can’t

Shakti : first of all , you i***t ..Tej and I are over and I said that in front of everyone and the company will split in two halves , one for him and one for me ..And he already took the vice president and the head of the designers , Daksh (then he shook his head and said) what a shame ? Daksh was really talented

Gauri: sir , Mr. Daksh will stay till he train the New head designer ..I heard him saying this to Mr. Tej

Omkara : and you heard that and said it ? shouldn't you be more loyal to your employer?

Gauri swallowed and said : I am an employee for the Singh Oberoi and the next head designer not for Mr. Daksh. Or am I wrong ?

Shivaay : no MS Gauri you are absolutely right (then he frowned and said) what is wrong with you?

Omkara took a deep breath and said :I have a girlfriend in London , I have a rent and a job ..it’s a big decision!!!

Anika looked at Gauri who her face turned pale and said ..

Gauri : okay I have to take the done files back to the company

and she pulled a stack of files and went away as Anika looked at her sadly then looked to Omkara who said ..

Omkara : yes we broke up but maybe ...(then he sighed and said) at least I should know who is the head designer I will work under !!!

Shivaay looked to Shakti who smiled widely and said ..

Shakti : if you will work for us , I will give you twice your salary in London and the pent house is yours

Omkara chuckled and said : the whole penthouse ..wow , thank you uncle

Priyanka : I don't understand , the boys get whole floors and I get a room in the 2nd floor. How this is fair , I want the second floor to myself

Shakti : and where will I live ? in the kitchen ?

Shivaay : I want a favor from you ,Omkara ... if there is one of the designers you work with is nearly talented as Daksh so I can offer for him the position of the head designer do tell me

Omkara : I will think about it and ......

but they were interrupted by seeing Anika looking behind them with wide eyes and breath held , they looked where she was looking and they all stood seeing Rudra coming with one of the butlers who was holding two suitcases .

Rudra : good afternoon

Shivaay held Anika’s hand that was shivering as Shakti said ..

Shakti : come my son and sit down

Rudra : thank you sir , but I have a plane to catch , I just want to talk to Anika for ten minute if you please

Anika swallowed and looked at Shakti and nodded faintly and as she approaching Rudra , Shivaay held her hand and stopped her and she squeezed on his hand and smiled a shivery smile and whispered

Anika : it’s okay ..I am not scared

Shivaay whispered : your hand is shivering in my hand

Anika looked at her hand in his hand that was really shivering,, why she is scared then ? the day before she wasn't !! maybe because he is now standing on his feet with only bruises and wounds or maybe she is scared of what she will say, she don’t know ..she just feels she is Anika the village girl in this moment . the one who need a hand to hold on hers !!

Anika : can you come with me then ?

Shivaay nodded yes hard and took her in his arm as Rudra smiled faintly and nodded and the three of them went to the living room and Rudra sat on a chair as Anika and Shivaay sat on the couch , and Shivaay noticed she held on the necklace of the marriage proposal and said in low tone ..

Anika : I am sorry I. Didn’t come to visit you in the hospital ..I ..

Rudra smiled and said : it’s okay , I know you didn't want to see me again , you hate me , you were just being the good sister you are

Anika shook her head and said : no , I don't hate you ..(then she bent her head a side and said ) I am scared of you .

Rudra closed his eyes and said : I really wished if you just hate me ..it would have been less painful

Anika held on Shivaay’ s hand that squeezed on her hand ..

Rudra : I came here to Mumbai because Surya's mother told me you are there and married to one of the Singh Oberoi , I think she thought like you ..she thought I will hurt you when I find you (then he shook his head and said) but you don't know what happened to me that day ...

Anika tears flow on her cheek and looked at him as his eyes were crowded with tears and Shivaay eyes were lost on that day ..it’s the day the three of them shared together and changed their lives

Rudra : I didn't feel what I did to you ..I just saw you lying there with my hand covered with your blood... I don't know how I did this to you ...I know I am not a good brother but I didn't know I can be a monster

Anika in low tone : I woke up tied to the leg of the bed , you didn't even bring a doctor for me or at least let me heal over my bed ..you wanted me to die , bhai?

Rudra shook his head hard as tears flow on his cheek as she said..

Anika : there is a question I always wanted to ask you (then she closed her eyes and said) when you beat me and I scream ..did you once felt bad for me ?

Rudra closed his eyes and she cried harder and said ..

Anika : no don't answer that because I think that you love me and I think that you felt bad for me and I don't want to hear different

Rudra looked at her with teary eyes as she nodded and said ..

Anika : but it’s not the beating what really hurt me or that you took me out of the school or how badly I was treated (then she shook her head and said) all this I am used on it , what really hurt was forcing me to marry Veer ? remember what I told you ?

Rudra : you said that you are my sister and that I will regret it (then he closed his eyes and said) I thank god every day that you ran away and this marriage didn't happen

Anika smiled widely as her tears flow and said ..

Anika : don't worry this marriage would have never happened even if I didn't met Shivaay or ran away ..because ...I was to kill myself (then she chuckled and said) in fact Shivaay proposed marriage after he stopped me from drowning myself in the ocean

Rudra sobbed as she got off the couch from beside Shivaay who tensioned when she did that and she went near Rudra and sat in front of him on her knees and held his hands..

Anika : I am sorry , I don't mean to hurt you ..I just want you to know everything I wished to tell you (then she shook her head and said)bhai it’s not just I don't hate you ..I love you

Rudra looked at her as she nodded and said ..

Anika : I really do and I wish you find happiness as I found it ..with Bhabhi ..

Rudra : we left each other , we signed the divorce paper

Anika couldn't help the wide smile and said ..

Anika : good , I don't know If you knew but I didn't really like her

Rudra chuckled faintly and nodded : you still the same

Anika smiled and nodded as he added ..

Rudra : I left the village I couldn't stay there anymore ..one of my friends offered me a position in America and sent me the ticket ..I will leave today

Anika smile vanished and nodded as he said ..

Rudra : I sold the house and here is the money

and he gave her the envelope and she looked at him with wide eyes ..

Anika : I thought the house is yours and the gold jewelry is mine

Rudra : actually both are yours ,Anika ..I don't want anything (then he wiped his tears and said) your cloth in the suitcases and also our mother ‘s jewelry and everything you left behind

Anika nodded as he said ..

Rudra : I will send you my phone number and address when I can and I hope one day you forgive me and let me back in your life

Anika nodded and said : and I really wish you find happiness .

Rudra nodded then looked at Shivaay and smiled ..

Rudra : thank you for giving my sister care like she deserve , she is really a bless that only come to who really deserve her

Shivaay nodded faintly as Rudra looked at Anika who was looking at him with kindness and love and he closed his eyes and kissed her hand as his tears fall over it

Rudra : good bye , my little daisy

Anika sobbed then smiled : good bye , bhai ..take care of yourself

he smiled and nodded and was about to go but then he turned and said ..

Rudra : I really love you so much ,Anika ..you are the best thing in my life and one day I will proof to you how much I love you

Anika nodded as he went away and she thrown herself in Shivaay’s arms who hugged her tightly ..

Anika : why I am so hurt ? I never thought I will see him again after I ran away but now it’s so hard to say goodbye

Shivaay smiled and wiped her tears and said ..

Shivaay : it’s okay ..at least now you know he is going to be okay and when he send his phone number you can talk to him as much as you want and he can come visit and we can go visit him

Anika wiped her tears and smiled

Anika : you really mean that ?

Shivaay nodded and said : I won’t keep you from who you love , I will never let your heart feel pain ..whatever you want I will do

Anika leaned in his arms and he caressed her hair as Priyanka came with the one of the suit cases and Omkara the other ..

Priyanka angrily : Bhabhi ? what is this ? your old cloth ?

Anika nodded as Priyanka said ...

Priyanka : I will throw them then and buy you knew ones but I won’t allow you to wear old cloth , never..

Anika chuckled and opened one of the suit cases and got out a jewelry box ..

Anika : I will just take the box and you can throw all the cloth and please don't buy me another , my wardrobe will burst

Shivaay smiled as a message came to his phone and he looked at it then he smiled widely and said ..

Shivaay : it’s one of the schools ..I send for them an email describing your condition and they sent me a message of an interview ..now I will call them

Anika smiled widely and said : I am so happy , call them please

Shivaay nodded and took the phone out as Anika chuckled happily and said ..

Anika : I will be a school girl !!

then she looked at Priyanka and Omkara who were looking at her dresses stunned ..

Anika : what ?

Omkara : I thought you are a village girl !!! those dresses are ...

Priyanka : really really beautiful ..from where did you buy them ?

Anika smiled and said : I made them myself (then she chuckled and said ) I will go now see about the school

and she ran from there as Omkara and Priyanka looked at each other with wide eyes ..

Priyanka : she says she made them herself

Omkara held one of the dresses and said : well , the material is cheap but the design and the tailoring is incredible ..very unique and beautiful ..give me that dress to study

Priyanka hugged the dress and said : its mine ..you can take this

and she was about to give it to him but then she shook her head and said ..

Priyanka : no its also mine (then she smiled and said) tell you what I will take them all and you let her make you one to study and you can have it

Omkara looked at her with wide eyes as she pulled the suit cases and said ..

Priyanka : Omkara , I change my mind

Omkara : good , give me one then

Priyanka :no I mean .. let her make you one to study , but give it to me ..okay

Omkara frowned as she smiled and took the suitcases and got out of the living room and to the elevator and looked at Anika who was biting her nail and not noticing her and focused on Shivaay who was nodding as he talking in phone

Shivaay : okay ...thanks for the opportunity

and he closed the phone as Anika eyes widen and held her breath

Anika : what ?

Shivaay looked down and said : well , we got an interview ..

Anika chuckled happily but Shivaay was just smiling faintly

Shivaay : well. There are two issues , the first is that the interview is after one hour

Anika eyes widen as he added ..

Shivaay : the second is that this interview is so they can say you can have the qualification test or not ..means after that they will test you so they can accept you in the school

Anika smiled and said ; it’s okay , at least they are giving me a chance (then she smiled and said ) you don't think I can pass the interview right ?

Shivaay smiled faintly and said : I know you will do your best

Anika smiled widely and said : I will ..I promise

and she leaned between Shivaay’s arms but her eyes fall on Omkara who ran to the elevator screaming in anger

Omkara :PRIYANKA !!! I HAVE TO STUDY ONE FOR IMPORTANT ISSUE !!! ARRGGHHH

after an hour ..

Anika and Shivaay reached the private school and waited for the time of the interview ..till a woman came calling ..

the woman : Mrs. .Anika Singh Oberoi

Anika eyes widen and took a deep breath as he held on her hand and said ..

Shivaay : you will do great , I trust you will do

Anika smiled a shivery smile and nodded and she entered the room where two teachers sitting ..one male and one female

the female teacher in English : please sit down

Anika looked at her for a moment not understanding what she told her then she said ..

Anika : I can sit down ?

the teacher smiled and nodded as Anika sat on the chair and the male teacher said ..

the male teacher in English : what is the reason that made you think of joining our school , especially in this age

Anika : I ...I don't understand all what you are saying , I do not know English

the female teacher looked at the male teacher who smiled sadly then he said

the teacher : Mrs. Singh Oberoi , the school teaches all the subjects in English ..I am sorry but I can’t accept you

Anika smiled sadly and said : thank you , I am sorry I wasted your time

and she got up and folded her hand to them then opened the door and was about to go out but she saw Shivaay standing with wide smile looking at her , his eyes were full of hope and faith

Anika swallowed and closed the door back then she looked at the teacher and said ..

Anika in English : "ENGLISH "

the female teacher looked at her and said : excuse me ?

Anika smiled to her and said : I learned to say it , I am studying really hard , my husband is teaching me and he have so much faith in me and I can’t let him down (then she nodded and said) and he is right , because I really can study hard , I really can do as much as any other student of yours ..maybe my life didn't give me a chance to be who I want to be in the right time , but it giving me a chance now and I have to fight for it and you are not even willing to give me the chance to fight ?

the male teacher said : Mrs. Singh Oberoi if you can’t understand English then you won’t be able to pass the test

Anika smiled widely and said : then I will fail and I will study again and try again and I won’t stop fighting I promise (then she smiled and said) all I am asking is to give me a chance to fail or succeed

the teachers looked at each other than the teacher said ..

the male teacher : the qualification test will be on Monday, do your best and good luck

Anika chuckled happily and said : thanks so much , thank you , thank you

and she shook their hands hard then she ran outside and jumped between Shivaay’s arms ..

Anika : I passed the interview

Shivaay chuckled happily and said : really , how ?!!!

Anika :how ?!!!!

Shivaay : you heard it " how " ...ahem ..I said " wow"

Anika smiled and said : yes , I just really have to study hard for the qualification test

Anika and Shivaay looked at the male teacher who smiled to her

the male teacher : my name is Raja ..I am the English teacher here , I just want to tell you , I really admire you ..you are a very smart girl

Anika smiled and looked down shyly and Shivaay felt his heart burning with jealousy !!

Shivaay smile a creepy smile : WOMAN ..she is a woman , my woman

Raja : of course Mr. ...

Shivaay shook his hand harshly and Anika could swear she heard the teacher finger squeaking like an old door

Shivaay : Shivaay Singh Oberoi , the loving husband!!!!!!

Raja nodded yes hard with pain showing on his face and Anika held Shivaay's arm

Anika : okay Shivaay ..okay

Shivaay squeezed harder that the teacher hand seemed white before leaving his hand

Raja : anyway Mrs. Singh Oberoi ..if you need a private tutoring I can teach you English (then he looked at Shivaay and said) she may need a professional help

Anika looked at Shivaay who smiled a smile that actually looked scary and she had to literally pull him away as he kept looking at the man who seemed equally mad at Shivaay but she was able to make Shivaay walk away before ...

Raja : SEE YOU ON MONDAY , ANIKA

and for her surprise Shivaay left her hand and ran and punch the man in the chin and she gasped as the man fall ..

Anika : oh god , I am sorry , sorry

and she helped the teacher up and that even made Shivaay more furious and he waited for Anika to completely raise him and punched him again

Anika : OH GOD

the teacher angrily screamed and punched Shivaay in the cheek and then they started fighting and Anika just closed her eyes and moaned ..

in the Oberoi mansion 3rd floor

Anika held the cotton that was filled with cold water and pressed it on Shivaay’s cheek

Shivaay : ohhh ..press lighter Anika

Anika frowned and said : are you in pain? the bruise or the cold water affecting your hot head

Shivaay chuckled faintly and said : till when you will be angry with me?

Anika : you beat my teacher , Shivaay ..I almost lost my chance

Shivaay : who cares about the school (then he smiled and said teasingly) I will build you a school and I will be your only teacher and you will be my only student

Anika held her chuckled and said : don't make me laugh , I am acting angry now

Shivaay chuckled and said : okay , I am sorry , I know I might be a little bit hot head

Anika : little bit???

Shivaay : okay... a lot but I feel my mind will go mad seeing anyone looking at you like he looked at you and my heart burn (then he took a deep breath and said) I become very jealous Anika ,I can’t help it ..you are mine , my girl ..my everything

Anika smiled shyly as he added ..

Shivaay : and he was flirting , believe me I know

Anika smiled and said : I can’t believe you were jealous on me

Shivaay raised an eyebrow and said : you seem happy with my misery

Anika in childish tone : little bit

Shivaay chuckled and hugged her and kissed her lips ..but then they heard the sound of elevator ringing

and Anika got up and opened the elevator and it was Omkara

Omkara : sorry to bother you bhai but wanted to ask Bhabhi on something

Anika looked at Shivaay confused then looked back at Omkara ..

Anika : okay what is it ?

Omkara showed her a design of a dress and said ..

Omkara : this design the designer gave me to create but I feel it’s a bit bland what you think?!!!! as a woman customer !!

Anika looked at it as Omkara gave her all the attention he can give

Anika : well , I guess if you add a flower here and the sleeves...(then she looked at him and said ) do you have a pencil?

Omkara nodded yes hard as Shivaay looked at him confused as Anika started to draw and then gave him the paper ..

Anika : if it rubbish then just erase what I did !!!

Omkara smiled widely looking at the paper and chuckled faintly and shook his head in disbelief

Omkara : thank you Bhabhi, thank you very much

Anika nodded then sat beside Shivaay who looked at Omkara going and said ..

Shivaay : Omkara , have you found for me a head designer?!!!
